I have a coworker who is in his 40's. He is bald, fat, and missing a tooth. I am a woman. I noticed something about him. He told me that he is into movies. He's good at explaining what happened in the movies and has a good memory of what happened. But in other things, he's not really that smart. He told me that he has the A List subscription and watches 3 movies a week.

In terms of which of the streaming giants Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be released on, Netflix will house the film upon its streaming debut. While again, Sony does not have its own dedicated streaming service, a deal was struck in 2021 between the studio and Netflix. The deal, stating that Netflix would stream Sony's films after theatrical release, was penned for 5 years meaning Across the Spider-Verse is part of the arrangement.

While Sony's Spider-Man content is also streaming on Disney+, due to the collaborations between Sony and Marvel Studios in recent years, Across the Spider-Verse will be a Netflix release. While the deal struck between Marvel Studios and Sony may extend to this film, Disney+ is only allowed to begin streaming Sony's Spider-Man releases upon their release on Netflix. The Spider-Man franchise is in a pretty interesting place regarding streaming. The various films of Sony's franchise have typically been scattered across multiple services. That said, following a historic deal between Sony and Disney, the many stories of Peter Parker and beyond are now available on Disney+. This includes the original Sam Raimi trilogy, the first Amazing Spider-Man film, and, starting mid-May, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Venom. Notably absent from the Disney-streaming platform so far are The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Morbius, and most significant of all, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Some of the films are not currently available on the service because Sony has pre-existing partnerships with Starz, as that's where most of the absent films are available to stream. That is except for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which is instead only streaming on Fubo TV and FX Now.

If Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse comes to Disney+ before Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse's theatrical run concludes, that would make the House of Mouse's service a likely contender for a streaming release. However, Sony has also historically partnered with Netflix for streaming releases. Up until recently, that's where Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was available to stream, and Sony still brings their other big releases to the service, like Bullet Train and The Woman King.

As we covered in 2021, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be headed to Netflix as the service gets both Sony’s animation and live-action content via a first window deal struck in April 2021.

The deal stipulates that all Sony theatrical movies come to Netflix in the first window, which at a minimum, is 120 days after its theatrical release date. If it arrives exactly 120 days after, it’ll be streaming from September 30th, 2023.

With that said, given how big this movie is, we may see it release a few weeks after the fact. Either way, we expect the movie to be available between late September and November 2023.

What is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse About?
Returning with many of your favorite characters, including Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman, Peter B. ParkeSpider-Man, and of course Miles Morales as our primary Spider-Man, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is set one year after the events of the previous film. Miles (Shameik Moore) is coming into his own as Spider-Man when he is unexpectedly approached by Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld) with an extraordinary opportunity. Does Miles want to help a team of Spider-People, led by Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac) protect the multiverse from the terrifying threat of a man known as The Spot (Jason Schwartzman)?

Obviously, Miles is going to say yes, setting him up for an adventure that will expand this movie’s concept of the multiverse in every possible way. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse promises tons of new characters and worlds, without losing sight of what people have come to love about this particular Spider-franchise.

Miles Morales has become a massively popular Spider-Man, and you can be certain he’ll be at the center of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’s chaotic blend of action, comedy, comic book aesthetics, and large-scale science fiction. It seems more likely than not that Across the Spider-Verse will be the biggest animated release of 2023.

Despite generative art technology being at very early stages of development, the leading models are not being compromised by technology, but by policy. The two main policy constraints being (a) IP issues with respect to training data, and (b) censorship.

Oddly, the two leading models - SD and MJ - have taken basically the opposite approaches. SD 2 is seemingly a step back from 1.5, primarily due to them using a much more restrictive training data set to avoid IP issues. MJ seems to have a far more aggressive attitude with respect to training data, but is increasingly draconian in terms of censorship - apparently adopting a PG-13 policy. (Though in the avoidance of anything that could be used to depict non PG-13 content, eliminates all kinds of behaviors core to the human experience, e.g. kissing, hugging, depicting of pregnancy, etc.)

The result is MJ can generate all kind of stunning styles, yet has apparently scrubbed all human interaction from it's images. It's landscapes and solo headshots all the way down. Maybe if you scroll long enough on the MJ front page, you will see a couple touching foreheads - of biceps curled and awkwardly bumping firsts. I challenge you to find any of king of interaction on the front page, no matter how far you scroll. I believe that AI art is every bit as capable as other forms of visual expression, but this is truly a path to the soul-lessness generative art opponents have been speaking about.

Meanwhile, SD seemingly allows for depicting a broader ranger of subject matters, but the quality is relatively poor.

User-generated supplements to SD models (e.g. LORAs or other forms user generated models) would seem to provide one 'middle ground' path. By deferring the IP issue to users, who are providing there own limited training data, it allows that quality gap to be closed without inviting endless lawsuits for the major model developers. I have limited experience with these though, and mainly have questions - is it feasible for LORAs or other user-generated models to have the versatility of something like MJ - which at it's best allow for some high quality blending of many different art styles? Or is it limited to creating far more polished versions of very narrow topic?

I think the critical litmus for generative art models is no longer photorealism, but whether they could allow for depictions similar to the greatest works of art. Could a model create something like Laocoon and His Sons, Venus de Milo, Vitruvian Man, Psyche Revived by Cupid's Kiss, Klimt's The Hug, etc. The technology is there - it is only policy barriers! We are trapped in a policy constrained world where Klimt can only paint women standing in solitude. For Klimt to attempt to depict a couple merely hugging would be to invite a ban!

My question is: What are practical steps, steps, or policies to arriving at a generative model that would allow for true expressiveness - being able to depict the full human experience and it's emotional richness, while drawing upon the aesthetic richness art history offers?
What projects are leading the way in attempting to overcome this policy conundrum?

I recently beat the game, and i must say Vendrick is the best boss (Pre-dlc). He feels perfect for the whole lore & the buildup...just to be met with a hollow shell But vendrick is still strong; he's just insane. the fact that his attacks deal so much damage and you can barely damage him is a testament to his strength his attacks being so easily telegraphed makes the fight seem easy, but the damage throws that out the window to even just properly challenge him, you need to get the giants souls; the same souls he did, the same strength he gathered, to prove your strength
his fight feels unique & memorable out of all the soulslike i've played. building up the King in so many ways, just to show him Hollow, then being extremely strong but still moving like a hollow. you still need to fight so you can even fight him. His fight works so well in the lore, and is unique among so many bosses

So, this is my LO I've been working on. I used the Halls of Ysgramor LLO. My template says I'm using 4.86g currently. How does it look?

Following the abdication of King Christian and the election of King Lage Jørgensen Urne, a treaty was agreed upon by Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and the Hansa.
I. A permanent non-aggression pact is signed between the Kingdom of Sweden, the Kingdom of Denmark, and the Kingdom of Norway.
II. Likewise, a permanent non-aggression pact is signed between the Kingdom of Denmark and all members of the Hanseatic League.
III. King Lage's son Claus will be wed to a Swedish noble once a suitable bride has been idenitified.
IV. A Hanseatic Kontor will be permitted to be established in Copenhagen.
V. A limit will be placed on the number of warships that can be maintained as part of the Danish Navy, set at [TBD] ships.
VI. The Riksrådet of Denmark will be strengthened, per the following principles:

1. A call to gather the army of Denmark will only be allowed by the Riksrådet, decided by 2/3rds majority, unless the King is responding to a call to arms from a formal ally in a defensive war.
   
2. The Riksrådet will have power of the purse of Denmark, decided by a simple majority.
   
3. The Riksrådet may veto any agreement made with a foreign power by the King with a 2/3rds majority.
   
4. The Riksrådet may recall the King under severe circumstances if eight out of every ten members agrees.
   
5. Every king, upon his coronation, will swear to these oaths in Copenhagen before the Riksrådet, lest the Riksrådet consider this solemn oath broken, and they shall seek another king.
   
6. In addition to all the above terms, anything which requires the voting of Riksrådet must also garner at least a simple majority of the Clergy present on the council.
   

Outside of this treaty, it has also been agreed that the former King Christian, with us and the Holy See recognizing his willingness to abdicate without protest, will be allowed to comfortably retire, but take no role in politics inside or outside the realm of Denmark.

What was the purpose and utility of the biblical texts of J, E, P, and D before they were merged and how widely were their texts and narratives circulated? I am aware of a few references in the Bible to public readings - in particular, during the Josian reforms and after Ezra's arrival in Judea (which I guess was at least arguably pre-redaction), but that falls far short of what must have been the scope and reach of such texts during the centuries prior to redaction.
I'm in the process of absorbing Karel Van Der Toorn's "Scribal Culture and the Making of the Hebrew Bible," and I'm amenable to the notion that scribal culture, both as distinct from and as an element of Israelite general and priestly culture, would have been a primary driver for numerous aspects of the Bible's development. But what I don't think I'm grasping is how the texts themselves would have been utilized vis-a-vis those cultures.
For example, modern scholars believe the Deuteronomic Law Code was "found" in the Temple and read in public as, basically, PR for the Josian reforms. It's easy enough to draw conclusions about how the Covenant Code and Priestly Code would have been utilized, and why they would have been copied.
But why would anyone copy the story of the Exodus, or the Annals of the Kings of Judah, or the Books of Samuel? I would have expected those books to have existed in one copy, where they were written. Similarly, I can imagine some of the songs - psalms and psalm-like poems that could have been part of worship - being copied for simultaneous use by different priests, or upon establishment of a cultic site in a different city. But why the blessings of Jacob and Moses? Why the Song of Deborah?
And if these scrolls were not copied, are we left to conclude that the redactors, including at least DH and the final redactor, utilized the one extant copy of each of the works that were incorporated into their collections? The final redactor worked well after the Babylonian exile - are we to presume that the manuscripts he worked with survived in their sole copies through the destruction of Jerusalem and the ensuing decades of exile? Or that somehow, books that in some cases were written only a few decades before the Babylonian exile had sufficient circulation to be readily available to a redactor a hundred years later?

Hey everyone, ever since I started learning chess, I've primarily played with the d4 opening. However, now I'm looking to switch to e4 in order to embrace a more aggressive playing style. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions for an aggressive repertoire with e4 that I can adopt for the long term. Currently, my rating is at 1200, but my goal is to reach around 1800. Just to provide some context, when playing as black, I enjoy using the King's Indian Defense and the Accelerated Dragon. Thanks!

Genealogy in the Bible is only passed down from father to son Numbers 1:1-18. Jesus did not have this genealogy, he didn't have a birth father from the Tribe of Judah, in the line from King David and Solomon, not Jeconiah. He had a virgin birth according to Matthew and Luke. And even if he didn't have virgin birth neither genealogy in Matthew 1 or Luke 3 can produce a King to be the Messiah. In Luke 3 the genealogy doesn't go through Solomon as required and in Matthew 1 the genealogy is rejected because it goes though Jeconiah.

This didn't happen, the Jews were dispersed widely after the death of Jesus.
