My husband’s parents are near 80 and not prepared (financially or health-wise) for the next few years of their lives. My MIL had a stroke 30 hrs ago, so FIL has been caring for her, managing finances (not well), the works (Yes, he’s a saint). She is mentally not able to care for herself. My husband and his siblings are worried that if something happens to dad, mom will have no care set up. He just doesn’t want to think about it. There’s more, but that’s the gist. I just want to dive in and fix the situation with my in-laws but obviously cannot and should not. How do you sit on the sidelines and watch/listen to the stressful conversations? My husband is financially savvy, so he continually tries to steer my FIL in a better direction, to no avail, and ended up hanging up on him today. It’s just hard to watch. I went into the bedroom with my AirPods in to listen to my current book. 🙃

For me I think the funniest gotta be when this lady came up to me during F2F and asked for a hamburger. I said “Ma’am do you mean a chicken sandwich” and she said no “NO I WANT A HAMBURGER. BEEF NOT CHICKEN!”. I’m tryna hold my laugh as hard as possible and I told her in to most polite voice that we in chick fil a don’t have beef, only chicken sandwiches. And she’s like what kind of fast food restaurant is this, and I’m like a chicken sandwich fast food. She was mad and fuming hot, she just drove off, almost ripping off her front bumper. After she left, me and some of my other friends working f2f started laughing because she was so loud and we were on Red so we stopped taking orders.

So I was at work one day and I work in the mall and we have chick fil a but chick fil a is closed on sundays and also I get tired of it so I doordashed from a local restraunt and when my dasher got to the mall this is whats In the instructions “I’m on Belk side of the mall bottom floor across from bath and body works and next to hibett sports” and the dasher tried calling me and I answered and I kept saying hello but no response so I hang up they call back and the same thing happens so support calls me and tells me their trying to reach and I tell them the whole story and so they say try messaging them. I don’t know why I didn’t think of that but I messaged and no response well apparently the dasher either just left the food somewhere or took the food like it’s a mall each store has big signs indicating what store it is and tbis is a small mall so it’s not huge and so I contacted support and I got a free re delivery but I was so hungry and got hangry when I had to wait another 30-45mins and I’m also a dasher so I understand some struggles but this I was just like “how?”

Okay. My favorite things to do are going to the gym when I can I try to go daily and watching Netflix and going on long drives. First post on here... I've read the rules but please excuse if I missed something. My wife (28F) and I (32M) had dated for about 18 months before we were married, which we've been for over 6 years now. We are a military family so we've moved around quite a lot over the years and have been able to visit her MIL/FIL and her GC (30F) sister twice since then. During the few times I've met them, things were just... off. I was never really included in any conversations or shown any interest in being the husband of their daughter.
Since then, I've learned that my MIL makes comments about me to the FIL who in turn then tells my wife. One of them were being upset that I was "bragging" on Facebook (I posted about an achievement in the Army). I thought that was ridiculous considering the GC got pregnant by "Frank"; a two time felon who ruined the FIL's business when he was caught with drugs in the work vehicle, has warrants in 2 states and walked out of the childrens lives who he had with GC. GC also is near my age, doesnt raise her kids (MIL/FIL do) and uses drugs around the children.
Recently, after 6 years of trying, our first baby was born and her parents were due to visit us. I suffered a death on my side of the family and my wife and I agreed I should go attend the funeral since her parents would be in town to help. During this visit, MIL told wife that I "abandoned her", compared me to and said that I'm worse than "Frank" and said if she ever has another kid with this asshole, then that's your problem.
Mind you, in addition to all of this; MIL is actually the stepmother of my wife and FIL is her birth father. MIL frequently ghosts my wife and doesn't respond or answer phone calls unless it's convenient to her. FIL has admitted he won't talk back to MIL and only calls my wife when MIL isn't around.
I've at this point decided that they will not be apart of our sons life due to the ridiculous insults being directed at me for seemingly no reason. My wife and I both went to her therapist and she agreed that her parents are miserable and want her to move back and be the SG. What do you think? Am I going too far by not allowing them to see their grandson again?

What happened there was basically the UK version of the Salem Witch Trials. In 1612, a little girl named Jennet accused her whole family of being witches. It’s more sad than scary, but the story that I’ve always heard was that on Halloween night the ghosts of the “witches” all gathered at the top of the hill and if you went up on the hill they would chase you down it.
Also, a paranormal show called Most Haunted did a live Halloween episode on the hill and apparently caught a lot of paranormal activity on camera. I’ve been on the hill lots of times, but I’ve never experienced anything paranormal. But I could totally see someone making a Blair Witch type film based on Pendle Hill, since it is pretty spooky looking.

Just did my final order of the night. Was a very large Chick fil a order. Haven't done too many orders so I waited an extra 8 minutes after the timer had expired and tried to contact the customer multiple times. I finally get home and 30 minutes later they're spam calling me and leaving me voicemails mad at me. Gotta love people

I lidurally do not understand why she would eat, film, and feature this company as a self-avowed les-bean. It's understandable that a person would have a hard time finding a company that 100% is in line with their values, but gorl- there are better places in Kentucky to get cheap, shitty takeout. Why that place when it's historically SO anti-LGBT+ ???

idk if this is just an oregon thing, but does anyone else constantly get food that 100% tastes like it’s just been sitting out? both the popeyes locations near me keep everything under a heat lamp all day and rarely make anything fresh for some reason. wondering if it’s like this anywhere else.
