So I’m going through an ectopic after having a miscarriage in March, and this has been hands down, the most challenging thing I’ve ever been through in my life physically, mentally, and emotionally and I’ve never felt so alone.
The night I was in severe pain and had to go to the ER, I went alone while my husband stayed home with our toddler. I came home the next day in pain to an empty fridge, nothing to eat at all, and my husband took no initiative to get/make any food. I bought iHop after not being able to eat all night due to the potential of surgery. When he came home that morning, he ate my leftovers without any questions. I let it go.
The next day I had an appointment to redo ultrasound and decide on the next steps (wait and watch, surgery, or methodextrate). I had to ASK my husband to come with me to this appointment (he didn’t offer).
The morning of, I was up early because I was so nervous. I decided to let him sleep in, and took our son to daycare. On my way back home, I called him countless times for over 20 minutes to meet me downstairs so we could go to the appointment together. Of course he didn’t answer any of my calls, so I left and went to the appointment on my own because I was annoyed with his lack of initiative.
He didn’t call back until I was almost at the clinic, and that drove me nuts. He said he thought I’d wake him up for the appointment, but I know he heard us heading out for daycare and that should have been his cue to begin getting ready. I feel like he should have woken up on his own if he really actually wanted to be there. I reminded him about what the ER doctor advised about me not being alone due to the risk of a a rupture and fainting, and he didn’t have anything to say.
What made it even more embarrassing was that I was so dizzy at my appointment and my doctor advised not to drive myself home, to call someone and get picked up. I called my husband at least 3 times and of course, he didn’t pick up. I ended up waiting in the clinic 30 minutes before they let me go home alone. He called me back HOURS later and I just went completely off. I told him how stupid and helpless I felt with his ignored calls. All he had to say was that he was sleeping. No apology, nothing. When I got home he tried to give me a hug and I refused, telling him a hug won’t fix anything.
Now my LAST straw was the following day (yesterday). I had another appointment to get the methodextrate injection. I told my husband I’d go to the lab at 7 am then come home and we could go to my appointment together which was at 10 am. I did this in the hopes that the lab results would be out in time for my appointment. I began calling him right as I’m leaving the hospital, lo and behold, no answer. I called 4 times as I drove 20 minutes home, no answer. At this point I was so pissed off, nothing could calm me down. He called me back as I was opening the door and said his phone was on silent. I simply demanded the Costco card from him (to get gas since I was really low on it), and told him I was running late for my appointment since I had to get gas. He had an attitude and purposely took all the time in the world to find his card. I asked him to hurry up because I was going to be late, and I was so furious I have no idea what he said. He wasn’t able to find the card and told me to take his car. I took his keys and cried all the way to my appointment, feeling so stupid. I feel like this is something we should be going through together, and it’s already hard enough on me having to go through the pain and emotional turmoil of an ectopic. How he’s made me feel hurts more than anything throughout this experience. Part of me wants to give him grace, but I also feel like he should be mindful that I’m in a very vulnerable place medically and needs to have at least my calls coming through. I feel like I’m not seeing any effort on his end to help me or be there for me.
I’m seriously considering a divorce at this point because I feel like hard times are really telling of a person’s true colors, but I don’t know if I’m being too reactionary.

I’m in a major East Coast city. I’m represented by 8 or so different galleries around the country. There’s a gallery in a smaller city about 300 miles away that has been consistently selling my work for several years that suddenly started not responding in a timely manner to communication from me and not sending any payments for sales. To say art sales can be unpredictable is an understatement, so I just chalked it up to there being a lull in their market, but gradually got more and more suspicious that things weren’t right. I had heard that other artists were also having trouble getting paid for confirmed sales. That, coupled with the gallery’s claim that a sale I was sure had happened months ago had “fallen through” led me to decide to pay them a surprise visit.
I rented a truck and drove the 300 miles and showed up unannounced at their gallery one afternoon. By the time I arrived, I had learned from a third party that the sale that had “fallen through “ had, in fact happened months ago. They had just decided not to pay me. (It’s pretty standard that galleries take a 50% commission.) As soon as I walked in the door, I told them I knew they had been lying to me and withholding my money and that I was removing all my inventory.
I knew that they should have had 20-30 of my paintings in inventory, but they only had 6. The owner told me that the rest of my work was being stored in another location, but I knew him well enough to easily see that he was lying, yet again. I felt there was no point in being lied to and treated like a fool to my face, so I quickly retrieved the six paining that were there and left, telling him he would be hearing from my lawyer.
Once I got back to my computer, my records indicated that there were actually 22 paintings missing, with a retail value of $160,000. I have been in touch with two lawyers who are looking at the details of the incident and deciding what my options are.
I’m 90% sure that there is no other storage facility- they have plenty of storage at the gallery.
I’m hoping to launch a lawsuit as quickly as possible and hopefully either have my paintings returned or be paid for anything they can’t produce. I assume that any communication I have with the gallery should now be through a lawyer. Does anyone have any experience with this type of suit and do you have any advice on what information I will need to back up my claim? Should I be calling the police, or do I need to wait until I have actual evidence of theft?
Most galleries I’ve dealt with seem to be run by trustworthy people, but over the years, I’ve heard stories of art galleries absconding with work and just disappearing. It seems like getting ripped off is an inevitable part of being an artist. This isn’t going to devastate me, but I’m pretty angry about it, and would really like to have either my work or the money owed me. I want to try to avoid any missteps that might compromise my lawsuit, so any advice you have would be much appreciated.

A place I was looking at was offered at 1.8M to buy and 5K/month to rent. Interest rates are 7% so the PITI comes out to 11.7K/month. The opportunity cost of the downpayment is another $1540/month (1 year CD at 5%).
So the total cost of the buy scenario is over 13.2K/month plus maintenance that the renter would not have to pay.
If I’m buying, I’m not betting on future appreciation since I wouldn’t sell and would live there forever. They’ve said the home would never been occupied again by the owner since they moved out of state and rent increases would be tiny to cover property tax changes which around here are limited to 2%. So what would be the point of paying 13.2K a month to buy when you can rent for 5K? An extra 8.2K a month is no trivial matter. That extra money can also be put into more treasuries that earn 5% risk free.

I'm (25F) in grad school for health profession. Just started my 3rd and final year of school with a hospital clinical that is mon-fri unpaid 40 hours a week for the next 9 weeks. This past year I got into my first relationship, and I couldn't be happier about it, it absolutely came out of nowhere at a time I was fairly certain (and kind of happy) about the fact I was going to be on my own for the foreseeable future.
I've always been pretty independent and enjoyed doing things for myself, being alone never bothered me much. Sometimes I thought it might be nice to have a partner, but once I was settled into the peaceful quietness of my parents basement with a decent sized bowl of ice cream and a new episode of my favorite show or video game queued up to relax, I couldn't imagine enjoying anything more. I'd go out to bars/club or other social settings with friends for dancing, fun, and socialization. flirting was fun but I always wanted to go home alone to my own clean bed and not have to worry about staying over somewhere else or having to deal w someone else in the morning. I lived my life very much to my own enjoyment specifications and never felt I was missing out on something. I received all of the socialization I needed from my friends and I was satisfied with that. I always thought I had a decent grasp on how to be a good partner but never cared enough to pursue a relationship just because it seemed like a burden to some degree, I have to make time for them, spend money on them, manage their emotions as well as mine, and in a way if the relationship becomes long term have a part of my identity reside with them which seemed scary. It never felt like something I needed, I planned my next 10 years under the impression of continuing on single as I had my entire adult life.
This is all to say I could not have been more wrong.
The person I fell in love with is the most perfect thing on the planet and I'm not sure if I could ever be as happy as I was alone again, now that I know what this kind of happiness feels like. This is a person that makes my day better just on sight. They are just good. It sounds boring I know, but I don't know how else to describe it. They're so kind and thoughtful and their heart is just so... good. Their love and attention is the most beautiful feeling to experience. And she's a complete badass, I genuinely don't know what I did to deserve this person. I feel incredibly safe and comfortable w her (even though she still makes me a little nervous in a good way sometimes), and I know I could tell her anything (for reference I've never been big on telling people anything personal outside of normal conversation, I've always been very private). We don't have every single thing in common which is honestly great, I love hearing her talk about things she loves that I don't know about, and our values and expectations of life are synchronous. She makes me laugh. We have a really wonderful sense of trust and understanding between us. I want to do everything for her, I want her to fall asleep with me and to be able to hold her in the morning. The way she smells and feels when I hug her makes it nearly impossible to let go. I want to buy everything for her I think would make her happy (even though I probably can't afford it anyway, and we do have a pretty equal way of splitting things). I want to do all of the stuff I did when I was single but with her (shocking revelation, I know).
Cuddling with someone you love while watching your favorite show is better then anytime I've spent out at a bar or other social setting. It's completely euphoric. I love making time for her and will drive anywhere to see her (sometimes we're over an hour apart and I currently work early 7 days/week). I get sad when I cant see her, I still love being alone, but it's not as fun when I am. I think about her the entire time. I love learning everything about her whether it's emotionally tough or otherwise. I've never been prouder to be associated with another person, and I want people to think of her when they see me and vice versa. Oh my god and on top of all that she's absolutely stunning, beautiful, gorgeous. It's objectively undeniable, I thought that before we even became interested in each other. I mean I never saw myself as particularly ugly but I'm a complete scrub next to this person. I know this isn't big news and most people have known all of these things since they started dating as teenagers. But it's been a big deal for me, and it's really exciting. I honestly just assumed I didn't have the ability to feel those feelings. Now my life feels completely different.
Back to the original point of this post though, it's that I'm tired. Clinical has me waking up earlier than I usually do and the hospital setting is draining physically and emotionally, it takes up most of my day and I practically drop when I get home. Not a lot of time or energy left over to do the things I enjoy. No relief on the weekends either I still have to wake up early sat/sun for my paid job. I know some people have it worse, but all of that wouldn't matter to me if I didn't have someone perfect it was keeping me from. I'm about an hour and 20 from this person at the moment, and it's difficult to get to her when we have to wake up so early the next day-- Usually I wouldn't care about going to work tired but this clinical demands my active attention and I just operate better if I can get at least 7 hours. Now the solution isn't so obvious that she come and stay with me more often, she also has a clinical with similar hours closer to where she's currently living. So travelling back and forth over the week becomes cumbersome for both of us, especially after hobbies and such. Because I work on the weekends too, and live with my parents at the moment to save money, she has to wake up early with me on what's supposed to be her day off those days and drive all the way back to her appt, which I feel terrible asking her to do. But I love and appreciate when she does (and I let her know).
I'm not looking for solutions I know this issue will all be over in 9 weeks, but it's just really bumming me out and I wanted to get it off my chest (and wanted to talk about how much I love her for a bit). This person makes me so happy, and it's hard seeing her stressed and tired on top of me also being stressed and tired. We see each other only once a week right now which is a stark contrast from when we saw each other everyday in class, and when she lived closer (was only 30 mins away from my home at that time, we called ourselves spoiled about it). I'm not concerned about drifting apart or anything like that I'm just sad about the time i'm missing being with this person. but I know there will be more to have in the future. Not to brag but I feel like I kind of absolutely nailed it first try with this person, I don't think I'd mind at all being with her for a very long time. I know I sound incredibly naïve saying all this about my first relationship but I don't mind that criticism. It might be true I'm being naïve, but if she is how my heart gets broken one day, I'll always be thankful she showed me what a healthy love looks like and I feel pretty secure about that. In all the time we've been together now it's never become easier to say goodbye to her, and the absolute burning fire in my heart for her as only become larger... but maybe calmer. Whereas the initial falling in love feels unwieldy and beautifully uncontrollable (which is an amazing experience on its own)-- developing our relationship over the months has made the fire functional, capable of warming a home and feeding a village. Large, beautiful, and sustainable. She makes me feel so sure, so secure, and so happy.
I appreciate anyone who reads this or gets this far. I ended up writing much more than I thought. I've been having a hard time in general with other factors in my life and this entire situation has just felt heavier. It's depressing working everyday and only really having free time to eat, shower and sleep. simply wanted to write it out somewhere to unweight a bit and spill it out somewhere in the bowels of the internet.

I (24f) and my boyfriend (27m) are super in love and happy with each other. He’s pretty confident about himself and has his life and career sorted out while I’m overall less mature and wise as him and my life is kind of messy.
He’s recently gotten in a habit of telling me to “relax” whenever I get even the slighted but worked up about something. For instance, we went out to dinner the other night to a nicer, more high scale restaurant. The food was amazing but two dishes came out way over salted and burnt making them unenjoyable to eat. When the waiter came over to ask if everything was yummy, I began to point it out to boom…”relax”.
I found it incredibly patronizing, like he’s speaking down to me and gaslighting me. I know i feel this way partially because he’s older and in a better place in life but I lost my shit at dinner. I pretty much ignored him for the rest of the night after I explained to him why it’s gaslighting and disrespectful until we got home.
The next morning, I’m riding his dck and he’s getting close to cmming and again!! He wants me to slow down my p*ssy’s magic and tells me to “Relax”, fully knowing I got so upset with him last night for telling me to relax. It really rubbed me the wrong as insensitive which I told him and made him bust faster than a teenager.
Later, we were watching StarWars VII and Chewbacca comes on screen and I ask if he thinks Chewbacca is fuckable thinking it’ll make him laugh. He hits me with the good ol’ “relax” which makes me, again, feel bad and pretty empty inside. He defends himself saying it’s a wild question to ask but I really don’t think it is—Chewbacca is tall, athletic, and mysterious. I think he likes disregarding me and it makes me feel concerned for our future together.
TLDR: He’s upset about me being upset with him for telling me to relax all the time and I’m giving him the cold shoulder for it. ANTI?

Natsuki Doesn’t Get a Burger is a short mod following off of Sayori Gets a Burger, though it’s only related in one small way. Natsuki is left a shopping list by her dad and goes out to do the errands, but lands herself in trouble when temptation looms.
The mod’s decently put together. It has a surprising number of unique assets for a short and uncomplicated experience. It uses all non-canon backdrops and music. The writing could use a bit of brushing up for typos and miscoding; there are a couple moments where Natsuki narrates herself doing something unintentionally. Apart from that, it’s in good shape from a technical standpoint.
The story is simple and focused. The mod is third-person, so we follow along with Natsuki’s errands without really being there. Along with the shopping list, she finds a coupon for the same burger place from ‘Sayori Gets a Burger,’ and references to that mod occur when she visits there. The conflict arises from Nats visiting the bookstore and picking up some manga only to find herself unable to hide it back home because her dad is already there. I won’t spoil how that resolves except to say ConsequencesMod has possibly the mildest take on Dadsuki of anyone in the entire fandom.
However, there is one thing I need to pick on the mod for since it makes a serious point of it. Apparently, in Japanese the word ‘suki’ means ‘favored’ or ‘loved,’ and ‘Suki’ is Dadsuki’s pet name for his daughter when she’s good. If she does something bad, he uses her full name, which sounds like ‘not Suki’ and therefore ‘not favored/loved.’ The only problem with this is that it doesn’t actually make sense in Japanese. The word ‘not’ is pronounced ‘le’ in Japanese, so this only really works in the context of English applied to a person with a Japanese name, and it also begs the question of why they would name her ‘Natsuki’ if this angle was intentional, but I digress. DDLC takes place wherever in the world an author wants, including any weebish combination of America and Japan they deem fit. It’s just a little weird to consider in context when it’s supposed to be sorta wholesome, but doesn’t quite add up. Even so, I'd take this over her getting knocked through a wall any day.
Overall, that’s only a nitpick. The mod is basically fine, but not particularly inspiring. I’d call it a nothing burger, but that would be mean (and inaccurate). It does what it can to showcase a small slice of life moment that illustrates one potential dynamic between Natsuki and her dad. It’s meant to be short and sweet, and that’s what it amounts to.

It was one of those brief moments when I was on my own. Just after I separated from my working herd but before I joined my familial herd. I bought some nice fruit salad from a place down the street. As I made my way to my way to the plaza I saw that musical duet was performing there. The duo was made up of a venlil and a Krakotl. And they were performing a popular pop song by some band, ‘I love you like the Herd’ by ‘The Sneeples’ I think? To be honest I wasn't too familiar with the current trends in music, I've always listened to what my mother listened to. Never gave it much thought really. I noticed how many people had stopped to listen to them play.
I want people to see me like that! It would be so cool! To be a star, to guide the herd instead of just following it? Wouldn’t that be spectacular? Or even impress Vemly…
I figure I should find a seat, realizing there isn’t any room in the plaza itself. I have to search Elsewhere.
I look round the corner to see… a human! I have never seen one in person before but here? the closest shelter is a city over. And they seem to be alone. Which seems unusual. They don't seem to notice me so that's good. My curiosity getting the better of me, I made my way to a seat where I could watch the predator without being noticed.
The human was holding their head in their hands, their gaze presumably cast down toward the concrete tiles of the plaza though I had no way to be sure thanks to the glossy black mask that covered their face. They didn't seem to be moving aside from one of their legs bouncing seemingly in time with the music.
My meal was almost finished when suddenly the predator rose from their seat and started walking towards the buskers. At their full height, they were quite tall, but maybe my shorter-than-average stature was to blame.
Their approach caused the gathered crowd to scatter most people. those that remained kept their distance. When the human arrived at the buskers' setup the krakotl singer faltered and forgot the lyrics. The human tilted their head at this and seemed to study them for a moment before pulling out their pad and touching it to the tip receiver before turning to leave.
If a predator can appreciate our music they can’t possibly be so bad right?
Someone must have called the exterminators because exterminator officer Ezin and two other officers arrived on the scene.
The exterminators showed up almost too quickly. usually, they’re really slow, like that time when-
The exterminators raised their flamethrowers toward the human
“Predator! You’re coming with me” Ezin yelled at the human.
The human raised their hands and was quickly restrained by the two officers, with the head exterminator turning to the crowd.
Ezin addressed the crowd
“Civilians! Thanks to my hard work the predator has been restrained and you are safe once more!”
It doesn't seem like the predator didn't do anything wrong… why are they being taken away?
My need to find out what is going on overriding all my better judgment I decided to follow the exterminators to the Deep Lake office.
But first I’m finishing my fruit salad.

I arrived at the exterminator's office and headed up to the front desk. There was a snowy white venlil at the counter.
“You here about the recent incident?” she droned, without even taking her eyes off her pad.
There has been an incident?
“No I'm just here about the human from the plaza” I responded
“Just saying yes would've wasted much less of my time sir” the venlil responded, only now seeming to have found the time to look up from her pad.
“Just wait here and someone will be with you in a moment” She pointed to the seats set up at the side of the room. They were all empty.
even I couldn’t find any more reason to talk to this person so I sat down at the end.
These chairs really aren't very comfortable… no matter, ill be through in a jiffy.
Maybe I’ll have a look at these pamphlets to pass some time.

I spun the stand around and spotted a hand-drawn-looking pamphlet. My curiosity piqued I opened it up.
‘Exterminator Ezin for emperor’
The Venlil don't even have a president. How can you get a role that doesn't exist? And I'm pretty sure you won't become emperor by winning an election.
Anyway, what time is it? I feel like I’ve been waiting for more than a claw, I should really be home by now.
“Anaw, come on up” It was the senior exterminator Koll. I have seen him a couple times on the local news giving important announcements. If you've ever seen a buff venlil, you haven’t. Not until you have seen Koll. It's been said that he once fought an entire squadron of armors, bare-paw, on his own, and won. After which he retired to live a more peaceful life on venlil prime. Though that’s hard to believe, When I saw him in person, standing in Infront of me? I could believe it.
Koll asked me to give a brief rundown of the whole incident, a request which I had no trouble complying with.
After a moment of contemplation koll spoke “Well, That does it then, the incident was clearly bogus and the human will be free to go.”
Koll gestured for me to follow him. We walked down the hall and then to the cell where the human was being held.
The predator looked up at Koll and then at me. Prompting Koll to start inputting the code on the cell, Koll broke the silence.
“Well predator, looks like a witness showed up and your stories match, you're free to go, get out of here.”
The senior exterminator left the room, leaving me with the predator… alone.
The predator rose to their full height. Turning their head right at me.
I've actually never met a human before. What do I do? Are they plotting to eat me? Maybe I should've read that pamphlet.
“Hey, thanks.” the predator spoke softly. Their voice was bassy and smooth, not nearly as loud as I expected.
I thought predators were supposed to growl or be aggressive! They probably don't want to scare me. I'm still really afraid though. Is that rude? Am I a bad person for being afraid?
They continued in their soft inflection.
“I don't think Sargent Fluff for brains would've let me out any time soon, so seriously, thanks for the help”
Sargent fluff for brains? Are they talking about Exterminator Ezin?
I finally mustered up the courage to speak to the human
“n-no p-problem h-human”
The human lifted one hand to their mask, presumably where their chin would be. This gave me a chance to get a good look at them. The flesh of their paw, which I think they call hands, was a smooth pinkish-white, each finger being topped by a wide flat claw that was pink almost to the tip of their finger. Where they became white. Their glossy black mask covered their face entirely but left the back of their head exposed. the human had wavy yellow fur that reached all the way to their shoulders. They were wearing a thick top garment in navy blue, it had sleeves that reached all way to their wrists and had a hood that the human wasn't currently using. Their bottom garment was the same color but seemed to be made out of a rougher material.
The human stuck out their hand In what I recognized to be a greeting gesture.

I placed my paw in their hand and they shook it up and down very gently as if they were unsure about the action themselves.
“I- I’m Anaw” my voice quivered
“It's nice to meet you, Anaw, though I have some belongings I have to collect”
Colton began walking to the front desk of the building. Curiosity once again won out over my need for sleep and I followed the human as they approached the desk. The white venlil was still there, and still seemed to be distracted by their pad, doom-scrolling Bleat probably. The attendant looks up from their pad and looks completely uninterested in the predator staring down at her. She looks back down making a clear effort to ignore the human.
“Can I get my guitar back now?” Colton asked the attendant.
“Confiscated weapons will be kept as evidence.” the attendant droned.
“My guitar is not a weapon! It's a musical instrument. It's personal, I need it.” pleaded Colton.
This finally made the lady look up from her pad with curiosity. Apparently thrown off by the human's response.
The human wants an instrument back? That means that this human must be a musician!
At that moment Exterminator Ezin stepped out of his office, Now that he was out of uniform the full mass of his grey was on display. He wore a bandage around one of his paws. Seems like his shift was over and was on his way out.
How do you even pack so much wool into an exterminator uniform?
The Exterminator must have been listening in on the conversation because he smirked almost predatorily.
Ezin spoke “Predator if you can somehow prove that primitive club isn't a weapon,”
Venom laced his tone, “Then you can have it back.”
The exterminator raised his bandaged hand toward the human.
“But I doubt you'll be able to.” Ezin gloated with the confidence of someone who knew they were untouchable.
Colton didn't give the exterminator the chance to goad them further and made for the exit. Shoving their clenched fists into their pockets.
If the human is a musician, then they must know a lot about music! Vemly is really into human culture, if I could learn all about human music or even learn to play some then she would definitely be impressed!
I followed Colton out of the exterminator's office and steeled my nerves. I have to ask them if they could show me some human music! And then I can ask them to teach me? Before I could change my mind I yelled out.
“Colton! Wait!”
The human stopped.
“C-can you show me?.. Your Human music?”

I struggled with the title but….
I have been friends with my EX Taylor (name change) for almost 30yrs. We met when I was 13yo. He pursued me that summer after 7th grade. I lived in California with my dad, as my parents were divorced. I came to Seattle each summer to stay with my mom.
We ended up being gf/bf before I left back home. We spent the whole summer together. He was my first boyfriend. Mind you I have a syndrome that doesn’t really let me feel sexual towards anyone, it’s controlled now but then I had no idea what was wrong with me, as well as I didn’t wanna be a young mom. (My parents were 18 when they had me.) So after 8yrs of dating we ended up breaking up. So I wasn’t ready for all that. As time went on I fell in love with him and him me, and we got engaged right before 9/11. The plan was to marry in a year. He was a year older then me and in the army. So he had to leave. Wedding was postponed. I hadn’t even told my family yet, though in the end after break up I did and they were surprised. Eventually we broke up because he had a baby with another girl at some point when he was away. We were 21. He ended up Marrying her and had two more kids. He named his kids what I wanted to name mine. He also named his dog the same as mine. We didn’t talk for five years after breaking up. I was and still am close friends with his sister.
20yrs later he is divorcing her. To give a clear view. All this time we have never spent more then 10days together since parting ways. We also for a few years in our later 20s, had a phone affair. (Sexting, sending pics back and forth) I’m not proud of those three years, I hate that I did it. But I was still in love with him hoping he’d leave her. 6yrs ago I finally got over him. He however, never has. He talked to me once or twice a year. He said he couldn’t that it hurt to much. Each time I dated someone or anything. He wanted to be in my life and with me.
He calls me a lot now to get through the divorce. Some major things have happen in both our lives like deaths of loved ones, my breakups, and crazy shit that just looking back baffles me. But through it all we’ve been there for each other. My friends think I shouldn’t and step back. That I’m to involved and that it’s not fair.
A few weeks into this he expressed he still wants me, however I told him things changed. I told him though he’s divorcing I’m not interested in him as more then friends. He wants more and for me to love him again. It’s been 20yrs, I’m still single due to that trauma of rejection. It took therapy and many other things to help let go. (For context my dad rejected me all my life. Even when I lived with him for a short period of time. I also dated another guy after Taylor and I broke up for a year who also cheated on me and had a baby with another girl.) He also apologized for breaking my heart and said I’m the love of his life that got away and he just wants the opportunity to try again. That he regrets not staying with me and shoulda left his wife a long time ago to be with me when the problems started. Due to things in his life he became an alcoholic. I told him I’ll never be with someone who is. This year he finally cleaned him self up from that and is doing things to deal with it. But idk that id want that in my life all the time.
For years he’s called me his best friend. I never have called him that, he’s always been my ex. Maybe I’m wrong and I should but it just seems odd to me. We’ve know each other so long it’s hard to think of him not in my life. My best friends think I shoulda cut him loose a long time ago. That it’s not good for my mental health and that he’s toxic. It just feels hard to let go. I’ve worked on myself and all the shit in my life and in a good place. I understand the concern but also we have so much history. We’ve know each other all our lives.
He wants to move near me. That thought just is crazy to me. To actually spend time with him seems so odd. Like we’ve always been apart.
Idk what to think or do.

I love my boyfriend, he’s sweet but I feel like we have a disconnect in a few spots and I don’t know how to fix it. I also feel like if he left me I wouldn’t be as heartbroken as I should have. The other day we went to a smoke shop and he saw a woman working there, he told me “she’s probably being fucked by the owner so she can work there” I was so confused, I feel like he’s always going so extreme to belittle women. I was like “well why can’t she just work there” and he replied “it’s never like that though”. Or whenever he sees a video of a women doing something immoral he acts as if it’s EVERY woman, “see this is why women this women that” like bro I’m a fucking woman. One time his brother used to live with us and he threw away all my bathroom utensils when we just met and it felt so intentional. I was so upset but stayed calm about it, when I told my boyfriend he took his brothers side. Another time I forgot to lock the bathroom door ONCE and his brother walked in on me and cursed me out as if I WANTED to be seen on the toilet. He told my bf “TELL YOUR GIRL TO CLOSE THE DOOR I DONT WANNA SEE THAT SHIT. He took his brothers side. On top of that , he says he doesn’t hate gy people but his actions says otherwise, same with women he always has something bad to point out even if nobody mentioned them. Even when I reply “I’m your girlfriend and I’m literally bisexual” he says “that’s why I support YOU” it’s so cringey especially because I support EVERYTHING he does. Like WE GET IT gy people aren’t your favorite , you don’t have to mention it every fucking day like fine you can have an opinion but how many times do I have to hear it. And when he says something I don’t agree with , I never come at him with such hostility like he does at me. He also doesn’t like when I wear makeup and wigs but he will tolerate it, won’t kiss me with lipgloss, lipstick or tint on EVER. He states “ I can have a preference okay” but it’s like are you really gonna keep this BS till we’re old? It sounds silly. There are things I get over easily because I know it’s just him. He’s great at producing music but I don’t like EVERY SINGLE song he makes, still I support it either way. I’m a girl that’s on the taller side so my anatomy is bigger and if I’m being honest his dick could be bigger. There I said it. He even told me he hates the size of his dick, yes it’s the smallest I’ve had but I don’t care about it, it’s just you don’t see me complaining about anything you do bro. And when I do I try to give it in a constructive way. I’m really not discriminatory against it but it’s not like I’m complaining about it. He’s had a huge patchy hole in his beard since I met him, never have I once spoken about it, when he mentions it I give him tips and he just ignores them. Sometimes he doesn’t flush the toilet , he doesn’t take vitamins when I recommend it to him because we have been gaining weight which he’s aware of but he won’t change much about it. What pissed me off the most is when I told him I was coerced into giving my virginity and also had some forced used against me and without even finishing what I said he said “well if you weren’t held down then you weren’t raped” it’s like bro even if I wasn’t, I was sexually assaulted, I really rather some type of empathy than you trying to justify my virginity taken out of peer pressure and some force. I asked to go to couples counseling and it’s always “maybe” I finally got him to say yes but I feel like it’s gonna make things worse. He also doesn’t like me hanging out with guys. Not that I do anyways, I would never. But as of recently we only have one car. One of my coworkers that I’ve been friends with for a while now has offered to give me rides because my boyfriend can’t take me home. My bf rather let me wait after work hours and get an Uber home everyday. That’s $20 every night because he doesn’t want me riding with some guy I’d never fuck even if It could save me from a gunshot. I don’t want the man, I don’t want any man except him. He rather me scrape up money we already don’t have enough of. I told him he’s being a little insecure and he told me “ no I’m not , you’re gonna realize every guy wants to fuck a woman even if they’re friends.” Which now has me thinking that he also wants to fuck his women friends cause wtf? Lol. How do I make him realize that he isn’t being equal in the relationship? As far as bills we are very even and he does take great care of me, even covered rent a few months himself and always make sure I’m fed before the day ends. Unlimited kisses and cuddles but then he’s an asshole. I really don’t want to leave him, I feel like we can work on it because to be honest everybody has a shit side to them. I’m tired of starting new relationships and being fucked over. I’ve already blamed myself for my choice of men but it’s because these men are deceitful. They don’t show you everything, how do you expect women to chose wisely when the game is rigged? Anywho , I just want to get it in his head so he can realize how unfair he’s been to me and other people who are just minding their business. Any help?

Btw this is written on a throwaway account just in case for my sanity.
I’m currently back from college for the summer and living with my parents. I want to make it clear that my parents were not bad parents. They’d let me participate in different activities, and would provide all of my basic needs. This is the first week I’ve been back home and being back, I’ve started to realize that my parents may be a bit emotionally abusive. Just yesterday I said something about how I was going to do something, and they mockingly repeated what I said back to me. They also teased me about random things, like I said I’d grab food for myself in 20 minutes, and my dad repeated back, “oh so 4 hours,” but it wasn’t really in a fun joking manner. I also heard them talking about me and how I had all this stuff I brought back to college that I didn’t end up using and pretty much saying that I was spoiled and don’t need more stuff, which yes, there was a lot I realized I didn’t need, but it was mostly different food items that I had left over, and me bringing too many clothes (all of which I already owned). My parents also said that I really shouldn’t need them to help me move in and out of college since I am a capable adult, even though I do live relatively close to the college (about an hour away) and I was moving out on a weekend where a lot of parents were there helping their kids move out, and I ended up coming home after spending about 4 hours moving out by myself and saw my parents just on the couch watching TV.

 Thinking back on my childhood, I remember specific incidents. I remember one time, when I was 9 or 10, that I was crying and my parents decided to lock their bedroom door, and while I was crying outside their door I could hear them talking and laughing about me crying. My dad and I often got into shouting matches when I was younger, which my mom usually blamed on him being away for work often. Every other weekend he was home we’d usually end up in a shouting match about something, and my mom would always tell me after that he has stuff going on and that he’s not actually upset at me but instead what he’s going through. One time I was about 10, my dad and I were shouting and pretty much he was just telling me to stop and go to bed and he ended up shoving me to the ground and he left and my mom finally came over and started talking to me and trying to comfort me and I was crying more at this point and kept saying how he just shoved me and she said well he shouldn’t have done that but he does have a lot going on right now. I think I mentioned once when I was younger to my mom while I was crying after an argument with my dad that I thought my dad was emotionally abusive and said that that’s not okay and that I wanted to call CPS and she said that you don’t want him going away forever do you? So I ended up never doing anything about it. After an argument my dad sometimes ended up giving me the silent treatment after I tried talking to him about it. My dad often called me lazy and useless, incapable, and that I never applied myself. He also said stuff about my weight a lot. He would rarely curse at me, but my mom doesn’t tolerate any language in the household. Once at a doctors appointment I filled out a depression screening while my mom was in the room and I checked a few things and the doctor said that while I didn’t check many things off I should still go talk to someone about why I checked certain boxes. After we left, my mom said you’re fine right, you don’t actually need to go talk to someone right? Like you’re just a bit sad today, so you don’t need a therapist. And so my mental health was never brought up again. There are maybe some signs and symptoms I have now or had in the past from these things. I think my particular ones are at the age of 11 I had thoughts of hurting myself, and throughout middle school to now I’ve always had a low self esteem and body image issues. I also whenever make a mistake always worry what my parents reaction will be and prepare for the worst. I generally, ever since high school, tried participating in as many things possible, typically being at the school from 8am till 9pm, so I could limit the time with my parents. When I’m at home, I like to spend as much time as possible in my room so I don’t have to interact with them, or really only leave my room when they’re asleep. I can also recall specific incidents from my childhood of them teasing me in some way. I also rarely cry now (once every 2 months) and if I do I refuse to do it around other people. 

Anyways, am I overthinking about my parents just being upset with me sometimes like parents are sometimes or were they actually emotionally abusive? Any responses would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
