2023.06.08 23:22 Financial-Map-6625 I got rejected from the JD program at the same school where I did my LLM
I just received the admission decision today, I was rejected from the school I just graduated from two weeks ago as an LLM. I got my GPA which is 3.0 I took 31 credits out of 24 (contracts, criminal law, Arbitration, introduction to the American law, Civil procedure, professional responsibility, international business transactions, LLM colloquium, legal writing and research and independent study) and this is my first time studying in a foreign language. I submitted my application way back in March with my fall transcript. However they got back to me two weeks ago asking me to send my full transcript (after I went to their office multiple times asking about the status of my admission) that means they considered my application very late and they told me there is only 2 spots left. As an LLM I'm not required to take the LSAT to transfer from an LLM A to a J.D because I already did 1 years of law school and ai believe having the LSAT will make my record much stronger. Now, I do not know what to do I have 2 options and please guys help me to decide 1- Applying for an OPT (which I already did) so I could stay here legally for another year, study for the LSAT and take it in SEPTEMBER or OCTOBER and apply to different schools but I'm really scared I will get rejected again and again I know 3.0 Is not alot but taking 10 classes and studying for tge first time in another language (I'm not making excuses it was really hard) hit me hard, I could take non curve clases and get straight A's like fellow LLM'S but I want to take the bar and that take us to my second option. 2-I have fulfilled all the requirements for the bar as an LLM I took 9 credits classes and PR which means I can take the next test In February and If I pass the exam I will be a licensed attorney (I can only take the NY bar exam) and I can spend the upcoming months preparing and hopefully I will pass it. The thing is a JD will give me much more jobs opportunity and will help me in the future and I wanted to use my LLM to get into the JD which unfortunately I did not. If someone said take the LSAT and look into law school admissions decisions then if i did not get accepted apply for the bar in July next year the thing is my OPT will end in June if I did not get accepted I will have to leave the states. what should I do please help me I really really want to do the JD but I'm afraid that I will just waste my time.

"Hi! I inherited a country house in NY state from my grandmother. It's a place where I spent my childhood summers and holds great sentimental value to me. The lease agreement for the property doesn't expire until the year 2040. However, the lessor has failed to fulfill their obligations in terms of property maintenance, such as ensuring running water, electricity on the grounds, and regular grass cutting. They consistently lie and provide excuses, often not answering my calls at all. As a result, we have stopped paying the fees for the past few years. I have always kept our house in immaculate condition and visit the property twice a year to check on it. However, during my recent visit, I discovered that my entire house had been broken into. All our belongings were shattered into pieces, with the ceiling and insulation even pulled out. It was akin to a tornado or bomb going off. The lessor, who lives on the property, never bothered to inform me about the break-in. I contacted the police, and they have initiated an ongoing investigation. The lessor falsely informed the police that the houses on the property were abandoned, which is not true. Additionally, they claimed that the houses on the lot were sold at auction, which is also news to me and not true.

So I hope that makes all the cOviD sheep feel like jerks for how they acted. This smoke is actually terrifying and can kill you. And this would be a reason to wear a mask! There were people at my work building yesterday who’s asthma was getting affected. It was really throwing me off too. Mainly the color of the sky. It wasn’t totally red/orange like in NYC but the sun was red and the sky was like a sepia.
I’m not happy that this is happening and turned NYC into something out of hell but I really hope it’s a wake up call for all the Maskholes who wouldn’t shut up for 2.5 years and were acting like Buzz Lightyear dramatically choking on non-toxic air when Woody opened his helmet. Seriously … if I was a cOviD Karen, I would feel like the biggest idiot because something actually deadly is affecting us, and the air.

- Stuffed animals: I am going to be parting with some gently-used stuffed animals, I collected many throughout my childhood but I feel like I don't need to hold onto all of them moving forward. They still have sentimental value though, so I want to make sure they can go help someone else. They're clean and very lightly used, and I can also wash them before they're donated. I tried to contact one of the family services departments for the county but I wasn't able to get in touch with them. I also spoke on the phone with two local charities but they both said that they couldn't accept used stuffed animals and they didn't know any places that did. I know that most places don't accept stuffed animals without tags or packaging, so I'd really appreciate some suggestions for where to take them!
- CD cases: I have amassed a huge collection of CDs over the years and I keep them in a big binder, so I don't need the cases. I tried researching where I could recycle the cases and there are a lot of resources that say they can be recycled, but I have struggled to find an actual location or organization that will take them. Hi everyone, I'm a 29 year old single guy in NYC experiencing a lot of mental health issues as I go about dating. I come from a very sexually conservative upbringing and was strongly discouraged from dating in my youth from my family. Partly as a result of that, I have:

- Anxiety that I will never find a partner. I have never had a partner in my life, and I worry no one would want to be with me due to my lack of experience. I worry this lack of experience looks worse the older I get. I also am a childfree individual, which means my long term partner pool is smaller than most people. I frequently have mental breakdowns about this (this includes crying, although I do this in private), which keep me up at night and prevent me from being productive at work.
- Neediness issues, I always feel like I need a woman in my life. I know a lot of people say that I need to be happy on my own. I am capable of having happy moments on my own, but I seriously do not think I want to go through my entire life without ever having a partner, I do not see that being a happy life in general even if it has happy moments interspersed through it.
- I berate myself a lot every time something doesn't go well in my dating life (not getting 2nd date etc). This has been happening since child hood. This sometimes leads to mental breakdowns as well
- I get very emotionally invested in women I like very quickly, I have tendencies of imagining a whole life with someone even if I only have a first date lined up
- I have a nagging feeling that I am inherently not good enough as a person to attract the women I like (this may partly be attributed to red pill ideas that I've been exposed to, although I am not full on red pilled).

My friend is trying to sell a house in NYC. He's pricing it right in line with what other sellers nearby are asking (and successful of getting), but isn't having any luck getting a single offer.
He's mentioned that a lot of people viewing the house obviously don't have any intention to buy (not interested in the showing, trespassing etc). I've been to the home, and it's priced reasonably (aka what others have sold in the last two months).
Is there any way to only show to people who provide proof of funds? I told him to request it, but the realtor mentioned it may be illegal to ask for in NYC. I've never heard of this before - is anyone familiar? I've always been asked for proof of funds as a homebuyer.
