Air 2022 tire change a saga
2023.06.08 23:15 No_Tackle_5091 Air 2022 tire change a saga
I really loved this scooter at first amazing ride good battery and distance. But last month I got a flat. So I ordered a new tube, was out of stock from Apollo so they referred me to an American company paid a ton in duties and shipping but got it after couple weeks.
Cue the pain of trying to change the rear wheel. Me and my whole family tried over and over. Gave up called ton of bike places no one would take it. Contacted Apollo and they referred me to one.they tried but then found that the tire was damaged. Ordered one more shopping, more fees, 2 more weeks.
Finally get it found a motor sports place in my town and take it there they try to put the tire on and it is the wrong size. Despite me ordering the right size for my model. They don't have anything in the shop that fits. I am a month in 300 ish in the hole and so incredibly frustrated.
If you do not live on a coast with an Apollo service hub I would not suggest buying this scooter. Like the customer service is pretty good and the scooter itself is awesome when it works. But I have never wanted to toss something ai expensive in a river till today.

Is there any way to bypass the key fob on a kugoo g booster? I don’t have the fob for it- Before everyone thinks I stole it, I own multiple houses and a tenant moved out and left one of these scooters so I thought I’d try and get it running, has a good battery.

2023.06.08 18:51 Javiergar20 New iOS App - Firmware Upgrade *Bricked* City Pro
Hey Guys I already contacted Apollo waiting for a response but figured I would ask.
Upgraded to the new App version released for iOS 2-3 days ago.
After installing new App it showed my City Pro had a firmware upgrade available (i did one in the past to fix the screwed up odometer)
When I tried to install the firmware update, the installing progress window went away, and the scooter beeped, now the scooter wont respond to any button press other than on/off.
Before turning on, it takes couple extra seconds to turn on and shows "E3" error code.
That error it says might be connection cable between handle bar and stem cable, i already tried unplugging and re-plugging it and nothing.
Also when it turns on, the battery has an animation where it gets filled up bar by bar until full then starts again.
I am able to connect to the scooter with the App, the app also shows the battery going 0-100% then starting over... the firmware section was still showing i had the firmware update pending. Now its gone.
Any ideas or has anyone with the new iOS app having this issue? Any ideas how to take it out of the bricked state?

Or can I reset the battery? I’m trying to get my emissions stickers and the shop owner is telling me to drive it 50 miles. The quote for the new sensor was $450 (I installed one in less than two minutes)

2023.06.08 17:14 Shankerman Hot Steam vent for power
https://imgur.com/gallery/xWAHdS9
I use the Airtight Doors mod, so you’d need to seal the room the usual vanilla methods from what’s shown in the screenshots
The battery and steam turbine rooms have hydrogen to aid temp transfer. Between 3000-4000 g pressure is good
Active cooling with a steel AT. Temp control is 150F (65C). AT uptime is around 30-33%
The ATMO sensors keep pressure at 3500 g by recycling the water output back into the vent room or removing any excess. It works with a single ATMO sensor and liquid vent, but I found the power output of the turbines more stable with two of them to keep the pressure equal across the room
Tempshift plates are granite. Probably don’t need as many as I’m using here but granite is plentiful
Steam vent room is a vacuum to start.
The room temp peaks at around 460F (237C) and it creates lots of power. During eruption all 3 turbines are outputting max 850 watts. Even during idle times between eruptions each one generates at least 450-500 watts.

Perroz Low Profile Slick Plate Carrier, Large, Ranger Green Includes the laser-cut cumberbund, 3x 5.56 mag pouch, and slim shoulder pads. Size large. Some salt but perfectly functional.
$250 shipped $225 shipped $200 shipped P365XL OEM Grip Module and Mags OEM grip module, 2x OEM 15 round mags, Talon Granulate on everything.
$125 shipped $115 shipped Will take $80 shipped for the two mags, $30 shipped for the grip module, or $100 shipped for all Griffin Armament P365XL Threaded Barrel with Micro-Carry Comp I have fired exactly 55 rounds through this, picked it up on here a while ago; previous owner said they had <200 rounds through it. In good shape, very minimal salt.
$135 shipped $125 shipped $115 shipped sold to u/Foxtrot4321 FN Takeoff M4 Stock This was taken off of my SRP G2 as soon as I came home from my FFL.
$25 shipped Magpul AFG, M-Lok Very little salt, is as you would expect.
$15 shipped Vortex Crossfire II Minimal salt, I think the only firearm this has ever been on and actually been fired is my Ruger 22/45 Lite. Comes with both mounts, the star hex key thing, battery installed, and rubber lens cap.
$100 shipped 16" Complete Upper There's a lot to go over here. In ( ) beside each part, I am going to list the
approximate new price for reference. I tried to check at least 3 vendors for every item and went with the lowest advertised price.
- Muzzle device: Helius Tactical 1776 Brake ($17.76). I have put 0 rounds through this, got it on here a couple of years ago now. Installed with a jam nut because jam nut > crush washer. Timed properly (or the best I could get it, anyway).
- Barrel: Roscoe Bloodline, 16", Midlength gas, 5.56 Nato ($135). I have put 0 rounds through this. Previous owner said ~300.
- Gas Block: Kaw Valley adjustable gas block ($30). This has 0 rounds through it, which means it will need adjusted if purchased; you will need to remove the handguard and adjust the gas block to your buffeammunition; because of this, the handguard has not been torqued to spec yet; if you want me to do this for you using my H1 buffer and various available ammunition types I have, I can but I will charge you for it.
- Gas tube: Unknown, appears to be a melonite? ($15). See Rosco barrel above.
- Upper receiver: Aero Precision, non-M4E1 ($70). See Rosco barrel above.
- Handguard: Midwest Industries G4M15 ($210). This was taken off of my FN SRP G2. Very light salt. Was on the FN for <100 rounds.
- Dust Cover: Strike Industries Overmolded ($20). See Rosco barrel above.
- Forward Assist: Strike Industries "Strike" ($20). See Rosco barrel above.
- Charging Handle: Breek Arms Warhammer ($45). Very low salt, 0 rounds on this upper, was on my FN for <100 rounds.
- BCG: Toolcraft Nitride C158, w/Logo ($83). This has 0 rounds through it. It has never been installed in an upper other than this one. I bought it for this upper less than 2 weeks ago, haven't shot it yet.
The total cost to build this upper buying new parts, before any shipping and/or tax, would be approximately $646. It will include the pictured 5 slot poly M-Lok rail. I am asking
$450 shipped with the BCG and charging handle, not looking to separate these unless person who buys upper does not want them. If you want any of the add ons below (such as the rail covers), or something like the Crossfire II above, let me know and we can see what we can work out.
ADD ONS - Helius Tactical 1776 Brake, Stainless Steel: $10. Can include a jam nut or crush washer, but I only have black.
- ERGO Adjustable Gas Block set screws: $2 for each package. Bought these, ended up not needing. There is a 4 pack of set screws for the bottom of a gas block to keep in place on barrel, and 3 of the set screws to adjust the gas itself. I do not know if these are made in a "universal" size, but their website shows the necessary info.
- TruGlo Glock front sight tool: $5
- BCM M-Lok rail covers: $1 each. I have 15; please note that one single cover was cut into a 3 slot and 2 slot section to mount the AFG above, but they function just fine.
- FN Takeoff A2 birdcage: $5. Will include a jam nut or crush washer, whichever you prefer.
Housekeeping Notes, PLEASE READ Everything is sold "or best offer". Comment with "dibs", "pm", etc and then PM me; chats will be ignored. "Dibs" implies you are taking it at the above listed price. As of this time, I am not willing to accept any forms of payment other than PayPal unless the buyer has flair that is equal to or greater than mine. As typical, no notes on PayPal.
Another note: I work third shift. I go to bed around 1200/noon EST and sleep until 2000/8pm EST, give or take.

North is blanketing the eastern United States with harmful air, as high winds take the plumes over the border. At the current pace, government officials have said that Canada is on track to experience the worst wildfire season in its recorded history, with 9.4M acres already burned (or around 15x the 10-year average). Critical infrastructure like telecommunication and high voltage power lines are on watch, while authorities have warned that everyone, especially vulnerable people, should stay inside as much as possible.
Atlantic Seaboard: Wildfires out in Canada's western provinces usually impact oil and gas production, but the blazes in the East have forced mining firms like Wallbridge (OTCQX:WLBMF), Osisko (OTCPK:OBNNF) and Patriot Battery Metals (OTCQX:PMETF) to suspend operations. It's also derailing activity down the U.S. East Coast, in areas such as New York, which recorded the worst air quality of any city in the world on Wednesday. The polluted haze even halted flights at LaGuardia, postponed MLB games and Broadway shows, altered school schedules, and prompted companies like Google (GOOG, GOOGL) to issue work-from-home orders.
"We have already deployed over 600 U.S. firefighters and personnel, as well as equipment like water bombers to help Canada battle the fires," Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said at a briefing. "We encourage everyone in the impacted areas to listen to their state and local officials. Check in on your neighbors, check in on your friends and your family. Take precautions, especially if you have health conditions."
Outlook: The situation may put a spotlight on climate investing, though others say the bigger problem has to do with forest management. "In 2022, global investment in energy-transition products and services, such as renewable energy, electric vehicles, energy efficiency, and hydrogen, reached a record $1.1T, a 31% increase from the prior year," AllianceBernstein wrote in SA article Homing In On Quality In Climate Investing Strategies. With regards to the current wildfire situation, smoke and unhealthy air quality are expected to be present in the Northeast through the weekend - until wind patterns shift or the weather changes. The Fed is watching
It's not so easy to shift back to easy monetary policy, or to at least put things on pause. The Bank of Canada unexpectedly raised its key policy rate by 25 basis points to 4.75% on Wednesday, after holding it steady for two straight meetings, as underlying inflation remained "stubbornly high." Amid signals that rate hiking cycles likely are not ready to end, gold futures sank to their lowest levels since March, with U.S. Treasury yields settling at their highest point of the month. Investors are also watching the Treasury's next move to refill its account, with a series of auctions set for today, which has been said could lead to a "potent liquidity squeeze." (11 comments)
Commercial warning
More bank difficulties could lie ahead, according to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, who cautioned that lenders may feel pressure from the weakening commercial real estate market. "Demand for office space since we've seen such a big change in attitudes toward remote work has changed and especially in an environment of higher interest rates," she declared. However, Yellen believes banks should be able to handle the pressure despite near-term pain, adding that stress tests show they have enough capital to weather any commercial property fallout. Earlier, Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A, BRK.B) Vice Chairman Charlie Munger sounded the alarm on the sector, given banks' vast portfolios of "bad" commercial property loans. (7 comments)
AI snapshot
Citadel CEO Ken Griffin believes generative AI will be transformative one day, but the hype around the technology's near-term implications is overblown. Echoing the opinion is billionaire investor Stan Druckenmiller, who plans to own Nvidia (NVDA) for years given its AI outlook. "I do believe, unlike crypto, AI is real. It could be as transformative as the internet," he told the Bloomberg Invest conference. Goldman Sachs also estimates that widespread AI adoption will boost companies' productivity by 1.5 percentage points over the next 10 years. (78 comments)

2023.06.08 14:06 manymanymeny How durable/reliable are electric scooters in the long run?
I am looking to buy a scooter for my daily commute of around 30km on average. Given the fuel prices, an electric scooter seems to be a wiser choice. But a decent portion of my commute is bumpy, gravel roads. There are also a fair amount of uphills. Would an electric scooter be suitable for such road conditions? Based on how they look, I am thinking their build quality isn't on par with the petrol scooters. So my concern is durability.
Off-roading garne type ko road haru ma use garyo bhane kati ko tikcha? Some guy on youtube apparently took a Segway E100 to all kinds of terrains but is it just an anomaly? Also, I hear the batteries are costly (1.5 lakhs for the battery??). How long do these batteries last before they start losing their capacity and need to be replaced? 3 years ko petrol ko kharcha ta euta battery mai jane raicha.
Yeso herda ta petrol scooter nai safer option hola jasto ni lagcha so do suggest some scooters with good fuel efficiency that I can take into consideration. I am currently looking at Ray ZR 125 tara tesma vibration ko issues cha re. Does anyone have any experience with Suzuki Avenis? I know it kind of looks like Shrek's Donkey from the front, but overall seems like a sweet machine.

2023.06.08 06:06 isellmidgets Upgrade from Wolf King GT Pro to Storm Limited
Voro still has my Wolf King under warranty and just a couple of days ago they told me it needs a new rear motor and controller, which they'll replace when they get parts later this month. It took not even 200 miles for that to happen. Super fun to ride, but sadly, it's a big ol' POS.
In the meantime, since I won't be able to trust it even if Voro swears it's fine, I grabbed a Dualtron Storm Limited from Minimotors. The power delivery is very different (square wave vs. sine wave makes a bigger difference than I expected), but it's been reliable so far and every bit as fast as the Wolf. So far my only complaint is that the Wolf had so much more usable bar space while I literally can't even fit a phone mount on the Storm Ltd, but I've solved that pretty easily with an inexpensive bar extender.
Ultimately I opted for range over anything else since I ride 20-ish miles into Boston a few times a week. The Wolf's marketing boasts a 90-mile range, but I ride fast; the one time I was able to ride it to empty in its short lifespan, I made it about 34 miles, which was severely disappointing and really puts a damper on my plans to use it for what I need it for. I got a 10a fast charger before the Wolf crapped the bed and I had naïvely planned to charge on-the-go if need be, but I don't want to have to lug the charger around everywhere I go and scrounge to find an outlet. Plus, even if I find a usable outlet, there's almost definitely nowhere to lock the scooter up while within charging range.
The Storm Ltd, on the other hand, still has 14% battery after 53 miles of riding today averaging 48mph.
So. Yeah. I don't know. In case anyone is trying to decide between a Wolf King GT Pro and something else... My personal recommendation is to get something else. Anything else. I went with the Storm Limited but there are obviously lots of other good options!
edit: autocorrect had changed "its" to "it's" and I can't let that stand.

2023.06.08 05:56 qwerty-po Wanting to get back into it, looking for advice
I have a DX7 with DSM2, but i think it is ver.1 My receiver is an AR7000 with remote receiver.
My heli is a trex 450 clone with a GY401, ICE 50 ESC, and a Scorpion HKI-2221-8 running 3s batteries.. which seem to work ok.
None of this had been flown in about 8 years I think. When I stopped flybarless was just really starting.
My Dx7 battery is toast, I assume I can upgrade it to a lipo with a volt reg.
I'd like to get a new simulator, my old one was Phoenix, and I am on MacOs now.
I am hoping to upgrade to flybarless, and 4s soon, but wondering what I should sell or keep, and recommendations on a path forward.
Thanks for any advice.

2023.06.08 02:48 uncgnome23 When is a battery dead? Can you bring it back to life?
I bought an electric scootebike on clearance for cheap. Everything appeared brand new. No scuffs, scrapes, or anything physically wrong to make me think it was a return or damaged at any point. For the life of me I cant get the battery to charge quickly. Intially plugged into the charger, and according to the lights, it shows no charging. Check voltage on charger, it checks out. Check voltage on battery and its at 5 volts. 5.2 to be precise. I decide to just leave it "charging" for a few days. Recheck voltage and its gone from 5.2 to 5.8. Several days later and im closer to 7.8 volts. Still far from the 25.2 it should be, but closer. Is this dead? Can it be resurrected? What other things can I check? I know i can buy a new one, but i prefer to fix things that can be fixed. If it is dead, whats a better alternative? Thanks in advance!
