Don’t get me wrong, I know he tries his best. He’s stopped eating in college to avoid spending the pocket money his dad gives him and use it to give me anniversary gifts/birthday presents. He’s never missed a special date and sometimes when we go out he buys the drinks/pays for the uber, things like that.
But lately I’ve been thinking about how much I’m spending, and he knows that I somehow compare him to my last relationship and how I think I’m running out of time. I got him a motorcycle so he could take me places and he could stop taking that 40-min walk to college. My parents have chauffeurs and one SUV which I usually use, but my parents never agreed on me picking him up, paying for everything all the time and it’s even a joke in my family that I am the “man” of every relationship I’m in. They love him because he’s funny and super kind, but my mom got really mad about me buying him the motorcycle, so we agreed that he would pay me in installments half of the motorcycle once a month. So to make that payments he started working… with my parents company in a totally made-up position my parents made just for him to work on the days he’s not in college, being superr flexible with schedule and paying him the full work day even if he works 6 hours… Which makes me feel like even if he’s working it’s kind of like… my parents money? Idk
I don’t wanna break up with him but everytime I think about the future I get overwhelmed because even with that job with my parents he makes roughly 200$ a week and I make $1,000. So when he pays me, he has 0 money left and its the same thing: me paying. Because it would be not going out at all because he has no money because he paid me and I have to pay for everything because I don’t want to be at home on the weekends and also do funny to our memories. Also his college has a bad reputation of people graduating after 10 years in the career because since it’s a government college they shut down when there’s riots caused by the students which happens pretty often. I also checked the average salary for his major and its just minimum wage…I don’t know if I can wait for him to be on the same page as me.

I am 33 male 6 ft 250 lbs no prior medical history of issues but I havent been to a doctor in 10 years. My mother passed away in 2021 and I had a period of depression for the better part of 2 years. During that time I gained about 25 lbs.
The good news is I’ve started wanting to live again. I started running 100 miles/month in March. I feel better, but I still am very fatigued some days and its been hard for me to lose weight despite the running. I also sometimes get mild to moderate headaches.
I went to the dentist the first time in 3 years and they checked my blood pressure. It was 168/98. They did a cleaning but refused to drill my cavity because they said my blood pressure is too high, and I need to see a doctor and fix that first. I asked is it that bad? She says yes which scared me.
So I go to see a doctor who got me in same day (normal clinic wellness visit). I haven’t been to doctor in over 10 years. I tell the doctor what the dentist told me. They say I might be nervous because it’s the dentist which is probably true. They take 3 readings, none of which are “good” she says but my third (and best) reading of 142/80 she says thats higher than shed like, but shes hesitant to put me on meds yet. She asks me some questions and thinks I may have sleep apnea and wants me to do a sleep study as she says that can contribute to hbp (i have noticed increased snoring and i wake up 2-3 times at least every night). They also take a blood sample and she says to schedule a physical exam at her office in the next few weeks and theyll take another bp reading, and to look into the sleep study as i was hesitant. She also asked me about thyroid problems, I told her i dont even know what that is and she says the blood test will tell us more.

This is a messy ass situation that I(24) have no clue how to handle. My mom (40) has split even custody for my little brother (10) with his dad. The past year my mom has been in a relationship that she only recently revealed to be abusive to me, and publicly online to friends and family. So many folks backed her and supported her and reached out but unfortunately fell back into the typical abuse cycle of not wanting to end the relationship within 2 weeks. She texted me and her sisters, my aunts, about going to see him again. Knowing that my adult mother would not listen to me and has to make her own mistakes I demanded her to give me her location and to regularly check in with me which she obliged with and on return I couldn’t see any injuries. I’ve been trying to convince her to leave but I know it can be a process to move to that. When my aunts heard they contacted my brothers dad (who they never speak to and also are barely involved with our lives anyways) and he has now filed an emergency restraining order against my mom declaring that she been endangering my brother by seeing this man. Which I would say I agree with, but he doesn’t come around often and from speaking with my brother he seems like he doesn’t mind the guy and he is generally nice to him. Which I believe because my brother and I have a very close relationship because I helped raised him. He has never once said that the boyfriend ever seemed aggressive/violent/ or even upset around him. I recently moved back in and all interactions I’ve been witness to has been fine. I guess what I am trying to figure out is if my brother was never actually in danger and says so would his dad still be able to obtain full custody? He says he wants to have the restraining order until my mom files a restraining order or files a domestic violence report, and for some unknown reason to me she does not want to. I just genuinely know and believe that my mom provides a safe home for my brother and wouldn’t allow him to be in danger. Especially at the hands of a romantic interest. I’ve never particularly had a fight with my boyfriend or caused any problems becase he’s very gentle and understanding.
But when we first started dating I told him about my last relationship and how I wanna get married, travel, and do a bunch of stuff and how I was hesitant of dating someone again because I don’t wanna be the only one doing everything and how I date to marry. He begged me to be with him until I decided I liked being around him, so I thought what’s wrong? And started officially being a couple. I do love him, but now we have a year together and we talked several times about how I’m getting tired of paying for everything and how I would appreciate if things were different.
Don’t get me wrong, I know he tries his best. He’s stopped eating in college to avoid spending the pocket money his dad gives him and use it to give me anniversary gifts/birthday presents. He’s never missed a special date and sometimes when we go out he buys the drinks/pays for the uber, things like that.
But lately I’ve been thinking about how much I’m spending, and he knows that I somehow compare him to my last relationship and how I think I’m running out of time. I got him a motorcycle so he could take me places and he could stop taking that 40-min walk to college. My parents have chauffeurs and one SUV which I usually use, but my parents never agreed on me picking him up, paying for everything all the time and it’s even a joke in my family that I am the “man” of every relationship I’m in. They love him because he’s funny and super kind, but my mom got really mad about me buying him the motorcycle, so we agreed that he would pay me in installments half of the motorcycle once a month. So to make that payments he started working… with my parents company in a totally made-up position my parents made just for him to work on the days he’s not in college, being superr flexible with schedule and paying him the full work day even if he works 6 hours… Which makes me feel like even if he’s working it’s kind of like… my parents money? Idk
I don’t wanna break up with him but everytime I think about the future I get overwhelmed because even with that job with my parents he makes roughly 200$ a week and I make $1,000. So when he pays me, he has 0 money left and its the same thing: me paying. Because it would be not going out at all because he has no money because he paid me and I have to pay for everything because I don’t want to be at home on the weekends and also do funny to our memories. Also his college has a bad reputation of people graduating after 10 years in the career because since it’s a government college they shut down when there’s riots caused by the students which happens pretty often. I also checked the average salary for his major and its just minimum wage…I don’t know if I can wait for him to be on the same page as me.

The database of volunteers collecting applications for rescue from the flooded zone contains about six thousand people, the "svobodnieslova" (Вёрстка) telegram channel calculated.
According to journalists, these people are scattered over 1,700 addresses in at least 12 different settlements. Most of the applications from the city of Oleshki, as well as rescuers, are waiting in Kardashinka, Malaya Kardashinka, Solontsy, Right Solontsy, Naked Pristan, Saga, Kokhanykh, Nechaevo, Peshchanovka, Novaya and Staraya Zburyevka.
Volunteer Ekaterina told reporters that about 10% of the points are urgent cases, people are waiting for rescue on the roofs of houses. According to her, there are about 500 such people.
"A large number of the elderly, including people with limited mobility, remain in the city. The Ministry of Emergency Situations does not organize the evacuation of people, and therefore there is a real threat to the life and health of a large number of people living in the flooded area," the appeal says.
The legal mayor of the city, Yevgeny Ryshchuk, told "Current Time" that approximately 90% of the city's territory was flooded, and the occupying Russian authorities did not help residents with evacuation. So far, nine deaths have been reported due to the floods.
"The occupying authorities simply ignored this situation, abandoned people. For two days now people have been on the roofs of houses. Yesterday, until night, people were taken out. Before that, all boats were confiscated, because of this there was a problem - where to get a boat in order to help people. <...> This all happened even earlier, when the Antonovsky bridge was blown up and the Russian troops went to the left bank. And then they massively took away watercraft from the population. "
“The local authorities interfere with us very much, the Ministry of Emergency Situations interferes. There was a case on a critical street, which is located in a lowland. Five boats were sailing today, a lot of applications were received from there, five boats were not allowed in by the Ministry of Emergencies, they turned around, ”said Yaroslav Vasiliev, coordinator of volunteers, to Layout. Since I didn't have rounds last night, I thought you all wouldn't mind today's being posted early. Over the next two days, rounds will posted at irregular times as well.

Round 12: I'm Only Me When I'm With You

The past couple of years were rough for me, and I was away from gaming, let alone modding TES. So I am somewhat new to the current state of Skyrim modding, again. Now there is Anniversary Edition, rumors of a new DLC and mods involving nascent AI.
My gaming hiatus began right as Special Edition was introduced, and back then obviously few were using it when it came to mods. Today, as of mid 2023, is it worth moving to Special Edition in terms of mod variety?
Consider the following

• My mod list is comparatively modest, it includes around 150 mods that mostly retouch vanilla. It primarily includes
  • Bug fixes and community patches + QoL tweaks (Choice is Yours, Guard Dialog, etc.)
  • Graphics enhancements: ENB, weather mods (like Climates of Tamriel), lightning (like ELFX or Relighting), Real Water, Vivid Clouds and Fog + visual tweaks like Real Shelter, Get Snowy, Lightning during Storms, etc.
  • Basic realism stuff: Frostfall, Wet and Cold, Needs and Diseases, Campfire
  • Unintrusive content like prettified towns and extra dungeons, armor and weapons
  • The only major overhauls I remember are Crafting Overhaul, some perk-tree overhaul, Civil War Overhaul, probably something else at this level
• My PC is 5 years old and runs GTX 1080 with an i7 (don't remember the exact model)
• I have at best completed 25% of the game's content, story, quests and locations included.

I'd still be happy to play my old LE setup once I have an opportunity, because I still want to finally complete the story and quests, because I've invested time in the mod list and my character.

1. So is it worth the bother right now ? Maybe next playthrough?
