2023.06.08 19:05 ReddditOnRedddit Jaksho Kong
Hello everyone! First time poster with a typical alt build post. Here goes.
Obviously DS and TF are the main Wukong mythics, (or DB/Eclipse for lethality troll kong) but I wanted to experiment with his Mythic because I prefer a tankiebruiser kong build, but I find with the recent Maw nerfs that its hard to get magic resist on Wukong, and I typically lose to AP champs (I strictly play ARAM).
I tried building a Jaksho so I could gain MR over time, and honestly the build worked out pretty decently, and I figured some of you may want to try it, or tell me why Im stupid for doing it. And please, do not hesitate to tell me why this may or may not be dumb, Im a bit of a noob. Heres the build: Jaksho, Merc Treads, Black Cleaver. After this I go lethality because Jaksho will still provide you some defensive stats. I’d bought an essence reaver for sheen, a collector and I didnt get to my last item, but I would have gone Rav Hydra or Edge of Night. The build lacks damage early because sheen gets built late, but Mid to late game this build was actually doing pretty well. I was pretty tanky and dealing good damage. Feed back much appreciated. Thanks.

2023.06.08 18:46 joaoCDC2020 ADCs are back to Pro Play
The two first days of WRL in the 4.2 patch just ended, and with them we can see the meta changed from APCs bot lane meta to an ADC flex picks meta. The ADCs buff were a sucess in putting them back in pro play and the mages were put aside to the comeback of Adcs in bot lane, but also with them in Mid lane and Jungle Funneling strategy.
You can see the bot lane priority below:
- Senna - Fasting Senna with a Bruiser, not really a Carry, more like a roaming support. But even being mostly a support, still remains as the highest priority ADC and bot lane combo.
- Kai' Sa - Strongest Carry, Funneling Strategy is very common, most banned bot lane carry.
- Corki - Mid Flex pick, seems to lose to Jhin in priority when the team already have a midlaner.
- Varus - Mid Flex pick, seems to lose to Jhin in priority when the team already have a midlaner. Note; before the patch he wasn't a flex pick and would go for the AP build. Now, he is using his AD build.
- Jhin - First usual pick, presence just in bot lane.
- Zeri - Mid Flex pick, seems to lose to Ashe and Ziggs in priority when the team already have a midlaner.
- Ashe - Second usual pick, presence just in bot lane.
- Ziggs - Only mage to remain meta in bot lane, but with lower presence.
9 and 10.Tristana and Miss Fortune - Appeared only once, hard to say if they will remain in the meta.
Lucian Disappeared - Before the 4.2 patch, he was one of the only ADCs to have a presence in pro play. The funny thing is, he wasn't picked in bot, but in the solo lanes(top and mid). After the patch, He just isn't picked anymore. He looks to have lost priority to Corki, Varus, Zeri and Funneling Kai' Sa.
Support changes - With the new Adc meta, there was a change in support meta too, but contrary to what some people could have guessed, they aren't big. Roaming Tanks, like Nautilus, Gragas, Galio, Braum and Alistar, are still the highest priority supports. However, the enchanters sups come back to the meta and have some good priority, especially when Kai' Sa, Jhin and Zeri are picked. The new faces are Yuumi, Lulu and Karma. Karma is also seen as a mid flex pick.
Swain - Did not seem to enter the meta, picked only once, never banned.
In other lanes - Outside for the Kai' Sa funneling and the Adcs in mid lane, nothing really changed too much. Junglers are the ones that already appeared before, assassins still appear in mid lane (Zed the one with the most presence), and Duelists like Fiora, Camille and Jax still reign in the toplane. Only two thing looks to have changed. 1. Renekton is now the most picked Top laner outside of the duelists. The buff he received looks to have put him as one of the most present champions in the meta right now, he is also a flex pick against assassins in mid lane. 2.Sion started to appear as the only non-support Tank (Nautilus would go AP when jungle). His presence is still shy, but pros seem to understand that he can be a good frontline option against the high damage output of the Adcs.

2023.06.08 17:02 Jecht-Blade Does Winrate matter in aram?
Ask yourself.. does it really matter?
Everyone hovers around 47-60% and it's based on how often they are picked... some of these Champs you guys complain about don't appear much. is the data reliable?
Aram for me is fun playing the champ I got and just focusing on myself and what I can do better.that is my fun. No troll builds none of that, sure I'll experiment within reason but every time I see a "IVERN IS TOO STRONG RIOT NERF". RIOT barely interacts with aram at all and they've mentioned this over the years. Idk what gives you hope that they will.
Playing since season 2 it feels like I've time traveled back to season 4 to see the same complaints flipped on different champions.
You tell me an adc is on 55 % Winrate it needs to be focused on... what were the picks in that game? What picks occurred? Did someone afk and fall behind? Did someone troll? Is it 10 bots just game searching ? You don't know. To an extent it can be accurate but to create these statistic charts you need the full scope and the indepth research of let's say 1000 games where everyone plays smart to finish, seriously the whole time.
Are you just bent up because you lost and your team didn't build correctly to stop this beast from snowballing and you need a way to justify this reason?
It's aram, the matchmaking is awful. The random picks are random. If it isn't fun, play a game that is because riot clearly doesnt and never has given a shit. I havent seen some fun game modes in a while and they have the capacity to do this shit easy not to.mention the money.
I'm open minded to discussion so let's go.

2023.06.08 07:11 Scathus Top 8 Masters Eternal Jax/Ornn Guide
Hello everybody, Scathus here with a new deck guide. Some background if you’re not familiar with me: I am high elo player and deckbuilder. Some of the previous decks that I have innovated or taken a serious part in innovating include: Sentinel Control, Feel the Minah, Ekko Zilean, Teemo TF Monke, Tristana BW Prize Fight, among others.
Today, I’m bringing you a deck guide for Jax Ornn in eternal. While I was not the deck creator, as the deck has seen play since its buffs a few months ago, I was the first to make an actually functional list this patch. Both I and my teammate infinipatrons have crested over 1000 lp each with the deck, and I think it’s one of the best decks in the game to climb and also to take to the Runeterra Open.
Deck Code: ((CUDACAYBAIAQMAQ4AEDAYCABA4AQSAQGAADBCBAGAECAQCYMAQAQEAIGAEDAMGYBAYABQAIGAELAEAIBAECQCBQBDA))
Runeterra.ar link The Deck at a Glance
Ornn Jax is a classic big midrange deck that looks to forge a weapon and overwhelm the opponent with efficient stats and keywords. You will usually look to build up a few powerful weapons over the course of the first 4 turns, before putting the pressure on the opponent and looking to end the game with a giant leveled Jax or Ornn. We also have a variety of efficient Frejlord Combat Tricks, which we use to swing the board in our favor.
Remember: the power of the deck lies in the weapons more so than the units. If your opponent spends a ton of resources to kill a 7/6 Jax - guess what? You now have 1 mana 4/3 quick attack overwhelm weapon to put on whatever you want. This makes your deck much more resistant to traditional removal than other big midrange decks.
Card Analysis
- Jax
- Generally the best card to be in your opening hand. While he’s essentially just a 2 mana 3/2 with quick attack, he has an extremely cheap weapon that is perfect for forging. Try to keep Jax alive at least until he levels so that his weapon gets overwhelm - it makes it much better to transfer to Ornn or a different unit. Jax’s champion spell is extremely strong and you can use it to completely blow out trades, especially if you are playing into a deck that struggles to pop barrier. If you keep Jax alive until the late game, he will become an enormous overwhelm unit that will threaten to end the game by himself.
- Ornn
- The primary wincon against a lot of decks. A leveled Ornn will almost always end the game on attack immediately - very few decks can survive it. He is also too large for any deck without hard removal to answer, and even if he is killed, he has already doubled your strongest weapon with his play effect, giving you value. Generally speaking, you want to get overwhelm on Ornn - either the fishawack improvise weapon or leveled Jax’s weapon - but any large weapon will do.
- Don’t forget that you can play Ornn without copying a weapon to take a big weapon from hand - useful if you have the bone club in hand but haven’t yet played it.
- Try to level Ornn before attacking with him. This is usually done by playing bone club on a 3 attack unit, getting a huge forged weapon, or fish fighting with Ornn after you play him. This is not always possible, of course.
- Weaponmasters (Combat Cook and Innovative Blacksmith)
- Your other sources of weapons besides Jax. Both are powerful - Blacksmith gives you constant healing while Cook forges his weapon for free. I will discuss improvisation below in its own section to help you figure out what’s best for which circumstance.
- Forge Cards (Weaponsmith’s Apprentice, Favored Artisan, Hearthblood Mender)
- These cards make your weapons bigger, obviously. Apprentice and Artisan are two useful early units that give your weapons value and can be used as chump blockers later on. Hearthblood Mender is probably a top 10 follower in the game. He has an absolutely insane play effect and good base stats and is therefore a decent choice to put a weapon on.
- Ruthless Raider
- An odd card out, but I promise that she’s vital to the deck because this card is the best cheap target for a giant weapon. The tough+overwhelm combo means that any large statted weapon will be extremely powerful on her. She is also a good target for the Bone Club.
- Bone Club
- Big weapon go brr. Use this on Ruthless Raider or leveled Jax to have a big overwhelm unit that guarantees an Ornn level up. However, don’t be afraid to discard it without Parts Made Whole - it’s not playable in every matchup.
- Combat Tricks (Catch!, Troll Chant, Battle Fury)
- Efficient combat tricks - go out and win combat. With Battle Fury, you do the normal thing: show lethal on the attack and then battle fury an overwhelm unit/unblocked unit for lethal when your opponent taps out of a response. Battle Fury can force games to suddenly end very well.
- Interaction (Entrancing Lure, Fish Fight)
- Fish Fight is 2 mana slow kill anything in this deck, which is obviously very strong. It is also the only way to get weapons off your units without them dying, which is useful if you want to swap a big overwhelm weapon onto somebody else.
- Lure is obviously best on a quick attack unit, but can be used to pull any backline unit to its death. If you have, try to develop on your attacking turns to bait your opponent into playing important cards/tapping under a response.
- Parts Made Whole
- You don’t always have to discard a weapon - discarding a Time and Dedication from Artisan is also fine, along with any other cards that might not be useful. Discarding Jax’s weapon when you have another Jax in hand is also a common play, since he always brings the weapon back on summon.
- Bellows Breath
- Aka Ornnvalanche. Use this to beat aggro when they overextend or to clear out chump blockers for a strong attack. Remember that it pings twice rather than deals 2, so it doesn’t deal any damage to tough units.
Mulligan
You NEED to find a weapon in this deck. If you don’t draw one of your 9 weaponmasters or bone club by turn 4, you will be extremely sad. Therefore, I would strongly recommend looking for a weapon in mulligan. If you have a weapon, I would then look for early forge cards. Jax+Weaponsmith’s Apprentice is your classic power curve and I would almost always keep those two cards together. I rarely keep combat tricks unless I have Jax and I want to keep him alive. Into some slower matchups where you know you need a strong wincon, it can be okay to keep Ornn (but only if you already have a weapon!).
Improvising
When you play a weaponmaster, you will be presented with a choice of two different random weapons from a pool of eight. One of the hardest things about this deck is picking the correct weapon for the correct circumstances, so I will go through all the different weapons here to help you out as much as possible.
- Fishawack (+2/+0, overwhelm)
- Good when: you have Ornn in hand, you have a lot of forge in hand
- Bad when: you already have leveled Jax, oppenent is a spell-based deck rather than unit-based
- Pot o’ Pain (+1/+2, impact)
- Good when: you need a good blockeunit to trade up with
- Bad when: you need a more aggressive keyword
- Pan o’ Pain (+2/+0, tough)
- Good when: this is the best weapon imo. It beats any ping or removal based deck and scales insanely hard with forge.
- Bad when: another specific option is more compelling under the circumstances
- Shepherd’s Authority (+3/+2, can’t block)
- Good when: you really need to pressure your opponent who plays few units (Karma, Ryze)
- Bad when: almost every other instance. I rarely take this weapon because forge renders the stat buff pointless very quickly.
- Combat Reel (+2/+1, refill one spell mana on attack)
- Good when: you have a lot of combat tricks in hand, you plan to discard the weapon anyway, you don’t really care about keywords
- Bad when: A more relevant choice is presented to you
- The Fix-Em 5000 (+2/+0, quick attack)
- Good when: you want to be aggressive, you have entrancing lure in hand
- Bad when: playing into a removal deck/need a good blocker
- Upcycled Rake (+1/+0, scout)
- Good when: you have Ornn in hand, you’re okay with throwing away a unit
- Bad when: you need a blockekeyword
- Sandworn Amulet (+2/+1, Fearsome)
- Good when: you’re playing into Bandle City or Aggro decks
- Bad when: You are playing into other midrange or big decks
Matchups
The eternal meta is pretty open, but I will put some of my thoughts and mulligans for the common matchups that I have seen.
As for the specific mulligans, assume that what I say is in addition to the generic mulligan I specified above.
- Timelines (BC) - Very Favored
- Mull: normal.
- We were already very favored into this deck before the nerf and will continue to be. Even if they hit early timelines, our units will generally be bigger and higher quality. They have no way to destroy equipments and no way to stop Ornn from killing them.
- Timelines (Jax/Vi) - Very Favored
- Mull: normal.
- This is our deck but worse. Not much else to say. Don’t get in burn range and you can’t lose.
- Annie Jhin - Favored
- Mull: Early units, Innovative Blacksmith, Bellows Breath
- This used to be a very bad mu but we have so much healing now and a 5 mana boardwipe. If you draw Innovative Blacksmith or Bellows Breath, they basically can’t close the game unless they really pop off with stuns.
- If you’re going for lethal, try to open attack to play around stuns.
- Poppy Ziggs - Favored
- Mull: Early units, Innovative Blacksmith, Bellows Breath
- This is basically the same as Annie Jhin, except they play for units rather than stuns and burn. Just look for healing and board wipes.
- Ezreal Seraphine BC - Favored
- Mull: Orrn + Weapon
- Don’t let your weapon be hexbliterated if possible, so always try to keep combat tricks to stay above 6 hp.
- They can’t deal with Ornn at all.
- Don’t forget they can kill weapons at fast speed with Puzzling Signposts, so don’t commit too hard to a single weapon if possible.
- Nasus Thresh/Nasus Akshan - Favored
- Mull: normal, but you can keep Bellows Breath if you have a functional hand.
- You can easily wipe their board on 4 with Bellows Breath, but make sure it happens before Thresh comes down and gets value.
- After Thresh comes down, slow down the game and stop him from leveling as much as possible. You can chill until Ornn comes down, they rarely run Vengeance and therefore can’t get rid of him.
- If Nasus isn’t a 10/10 on turn 6 exactly, your units will generally be bigger and better.
- Akshan Nasus is significantly weaker than Nasus/Thresh, but note that they are more likely to run things like Vengeance.
- Karma Sett (SI) - Favored
- Mull: Aggression - Jax in particular.
- This deck is too slow to win. The stuns and recalls are a bit annoying, but they fold under a swarm of high statted units. Sett rarely gets value in this deck.
- Plaza Guardian Spam (Ez/Samira/Seraphine) - Favored
- Mull: Normal
- You basically pop off around the same turn. It really depends on how many plaza guardians they can vomit out on turn 6 or 7. They struggle a bit to kill your bit units since they generally only run 2 copies of disinintigrate.
- Try to open attack where possible to play around stuns.
- ViktoAphelios - Favored to even
- Mull: Normal
- This is very reliant on their draw and some RNG. Viktor can take over the game if he gets lucky, but also can do nothing. He’s easily killed with your interaction, though.
- Obliterates are very bad for you. Generally speaking, they only run starshaping and don’t maindeck them, but you should still be careful about going too all in on an equipment.
- If you can get a wide and big board, enough for a strong open attack, Targon/PNZ can’t deal with it.
- Timelines (Frejlord) - Even to mildly unfavored
- Mull: Normal
- This would be a completely free matchup, except that you instantly lose to buried in ice. You have to play very carefully around it starting on turn 6 and 7 because it not only kills your board, but also your weapons. Of course, if they don’t draw the card, you win for the same reason that you beat other timelines decks.
- Sett Trundle - Unfavored
- Mull: Aggression
- This has all the negatives of Frejlord Timelines, but also has ionia stun and recall tools that make you sad. The best way to win is try to rush them down as fast as possible to force them to overextend their mana and lose.
- They rarely run avalanche, so I wouldn’t play around it.
- Ryze - Extremely unfavored
- Mull: as much early aggression as possible
- If the Ryze player is even slightly good, he will stun and recall all your big units until they assemble the 5 exodia pieces. Thankfully, a lot of ladder Ryzes are terrible, but still.
- Their recall even destroys equipments - can it get any worse?
Let me know if there’s any other matchup you would like to know about in the comments.
Conclusion
And that’s the guide! Let me know in the comments about any questions or concerns you might have, and I’ll be happy to answer them as they come it.

They struggle a bit to kill your big units since they generally only run 2 copies of disinintigrate.

2023.06.07 22:20 CorieD91 Learning more melee sups
Hey guys! I am an enchanter main (Janna, Sona, and Sera) but I really want to learn melee supports. I'm good with amumu (aram) and absolutely love him. I'm really bad at figuring out when to engage though. I play with friends when I'm learning new roles or Champs but I can't fully rely on them because they have their own role to focus on. Any tips? Amumu and pyke are who I love for melee but u also love Braum and Taric. Any pointers are greatly appreciated! I do know hoe to build their items just basic lane tips and engage tips are highly appreciated since enchanter and melee are two totally different worlds. Thank you!

I am having a hard time finding fun builds in aram. Most of the usual websites have standard builds. Also browsing through the subreddit, may be it is a good idea to keep a pinned thread where folks can post their fun builds?

2023.06.07 15:29 ktmos Trying out some off meta syndra support tech in Master elo.
| So I've been running Glacial Augment + Font of Life and Echoes of Helia on Syndra support. Getting some pretty damn good results so far 3 wins and 2 losses (afk top in one loss and a 10k damage yasuo in 40 minutes on the other loss), managed to top the damage charts on most games (op.gg ktmos). Early Game: Level one is really bad but you always get level 2 first (Q the backline minions) I've caught many people off guard because they don't expect syndra's level 2 to be deadly with Q+E+Glacial Augment. If you dont manage to cheese your enemies her disengage and burst after level 2 still feel really good, her level 3 Q+W+E combo guarantees an enemy recall if your adc is playing something like jhin or caitlyn where they can follow up and Glacial Augment ensures the enemy can't trade back/run away. Mid Game: I feel like her mid game is insane, her pick potential with glacial feels unreal, you kill a target with your adc and you get a free objective, your support items are also insanely cheap so you get fast mid game powerspikes with Imperial Mandate + Echoes of Helia. Late Game: Mediocre but not bad, you should try finishing the game before people start buying MR items and your support build ultimately falls off. I'm still testing it out but so far so good, I recommend you ban Milio due to his level 6 which cucks you and your burst combo pretty bad (and generally cause he's broken) or Thresh since he can flash + Flay you (E) level 2 and it's a guaranteed death. I would pick her if the enemy lacks assasins such as Kayn or Kha that will make you and your adc's life hard (I was versing Kha that's why I picked Lulu instead of Syndra in the last game I've played). So what do you think? Would you try it out? Do you think it has potential? submitted by ktmos to supportlol [link] [comments] |
2023.06.07 14:15 Nintega94 Struggling to get that 2nd M6 token on Nunu. Anyway I can cheese it?
I got the 1st token by complete accident during an ARAM earlier this season, & ever since then, I've not been able to get the 2nd token no matter what I try (Game mode, build, role, anything). This is mostly due to where Nunu's meta ended up
For Nunu Jungle, his only truly viable mythic now is Jak'Sho (& I hate the 13.10 onward Radiant Virtue with a burning passion so I'm not even gonna bother with it), but the ONLY item I remotely like using on Nunu is Everfrost (Due to the E>Everfrost>R combo), but AP Nunu Jungle in general is definitely on the weaker side ATM from my experience, not just full AP Nunu, but my usual Everfrost>Demonic>Full Tank build. Tank legendary items for Nunu are in such a weird, uncomfortable spot ATM since with maybe the exception of Stoneplate assuming you do build Jak'Sho, EVERYTHING is situational, yes even Sunfire. As in Nunu can only really function against either Full AD or Full AP, or at the very least games where the main threats on the enemy team are Full AD or Full AP, so he can just stack only armor or only m resist. If the enemy Physical/Magic split ever goes more than like 80/20 in either direction, you're f$$$ed, plain & simple, you're legitimately forced to go AP unless you can somehow make use of Anathemas Chains & Warmogs
AP Nunu can sorta work in other roles, but I just suck at Nunu in other roles WAY too much to even try it (I tried Mid once in the past, it went absolutely horrible even with the proper early game wave strats. I recently tried Support, it went almost as bad). So with all that said, WTF can I even do to cheese that other M6 token aside from spamming ARAM & hoping I can actually f$$$ing play Nunu?

2023.06.07 04:21 SadgeApe ARAM in the other side of the world
Until recently it occurred to me that this is the only active aram community in the west (as far is I know). I have been playing aram and browsing this sub for quite some time now . I have only dived into the rabbit hole of Chinese aram culture recently when I was doing research on LPL . I figure some of you may be interested in how Chinese players play Arams, so I decided to share some interesting finds and I am happy to be corrected. (Note: I will generalize things such as English speaking aram bros as "the west" just for the sake of simplicity)
- Popularity Same as the west, aram is getting more and more popular. Most of the playerbase are getting older, and not being able to keep up with metas and investing hours into the games. Increasingly more players would rather play arams. Therefore, the content creation scene of Aram is thriving. There are a lot more serious and aram focused videos compare to the west, such as Champion tier list, Item optimization, troll builds, bugs and op strats etc.
- Winrate Teams The popularity of aram is at all time high, however many servers are plagued by premade players called "winrate team, 胜率队". These players, often with >90% winrate will have 4 to 5 premades and queue against normal players. Since these games are not enjoyable at all, some normal players will afk and surrender after spawning in-game. They use a tool called Wegame to check their opponents' winrate. A lot of high ranking players cannot win against winrate teams, causing them to form a winrate teams as well.
- Pushback Aram players are very vocal against winrate-premade teams for ruining aram. People will post videos of them winning against winrate teams and pride themselves for breaking their winstreak. A small amount of players even became vigilantes, and began hunting the winrate teams. These players will [email protected] mins if they face normal players, and tryhard to win against winrate-premades. (Tbf I don't think this is very common thing)
- Who are these winrate teams? A group of aram veterans that want to make a name for themselves and enjoy stomping others. They often compete with other teams for higher winrate. There are even aram tournaments held for winrate-premades. A lot of them are also provide aram boosting service. Player can pay to be in a member of the premade. There are also players who pay the winrate teams to grind for the aram achievements for their accounts. Sometimes 10 players in-game can reach to an agreement and start farming pentas and what not. There are other tricks to farm for achievements.
- How are they so effective? All of them have dozens of accounts, they will dodge in order to get the advantageous comp. The strategy itself is quite simple. A good comp with voice comm will steamroll random players most of the time anyway. They also pick champs that have fast wave clear and that can take towers fast. They like to dive players under tower and adc will hit the tower freely. Coupled with good death timings, they control the pace and rhythms of the game all of the time. Sometimes, they will mess up the death timing of the opponent (deliberately not killing a low health tank etc) in order to have the number advantage all team fights throughout the game.
- Interesting meta? I think the meta overall is very similar to the west as well, abusing aram buffed champs with op builds. There's memey build such as First strike nuke build: AP rengar, AP Udyr etc. The aim is to build night harvester asap by using first strike and treasure hunter. You will start to one shot players and become a menace once you have the items. Some aram analysts seem to think that the game state has returned to pre durability patch. It is better to build for full dmg to burst the enemies. Bruisers should not build defense and they should go full dmg instead, or else they will be moving Heath packs for adcs.
- Trying to crack the code? Same as the west, the player community has noticed the win streak, lose streak phenomenon. There are many theories around this, some claimed to have cracked the algorithm of aram matching making. They claim that not only the system will try to balance your overall net winrate, it will mostly base the winrate from most recent 20 games. Other than winrate, stats such as kda is also taken into account. Theoretically it is better to win with a bad kda. Some also claim the player activeness is also a factor, if the player has not played for a long time, the player will be awarded with more wins.
This is all I can think of now. Overall, the players there are very similar to the west, with the exeception of their Aram scene much more popular and active.

2023.06.06 23:33 Sad-Temperature2920 Confusion on what On Hit/Crit/Lethality/AP for an ADC really means
I'm a newish player trying to spread my wings. I used to only play support but I am looking to get into playing ADC. I've tried a few ARAMs and the two ADCs that stand out to me as particularly fun and suiting my style are Varus and Miss Fortune. Both seem quite forgiving to new players and have easy-to-understand abilities.
HOWEVER, they seem to have different build paths depending on what "style" you play, and I don't really know what that means. What's the difference between lethality Varus, on-hit Varus, AP Varus and crit Varus? MF also has three different build paths: crit, AP and lethality.
Like, I understand the basics that those are all different stats, so you're building items to enhance one stat over the others - whether that's crit or lethality or whatever. But how does that actually get reflected in gameplay? How does crit Varus play differently to AP Varus, and when are they better than on-hit Varus or lethality Varus, etc.
Thank you!

2023.06.06 20:01 skrub55 Give Hail of Blades some respect
I've been running Hail of Blades more recently and it's become pretty clear to me that it excels in two situations.
Hail of blades beats out any other rune by far for early poke. Unless your opponent is at the very edge of your soldier range it basically guarantees you're getting at least one extra soldier auto whenever you trade on a very low cooldown. Taking domination also gives you cheap shot or taste of blood, two great runes for laning. I am 100% certain it beats out comet, first strike, and electrocute in lane. Aery might be better against melee if used well, but that rune is dogshit and does nothing late. Conqueror and Lethal Tempo are obviously still both better in extended trades.
The other time Hail of Blades excels is later in the game against squishies, especially with a luden's build. You have immediate kill pressure against a full HP squishy with a single soldier if you built something like the Luden's+Shadowflame build and have hail of blades. No other rune or item can give you this same burst threat against squishies. Even if you don't go full burst it's still extremely valuable against squishies, though you aren't threatening to delete them instantly. I also find it incredibly useful into slippery champs like Jhin and Ekko, who usually get out of soldier range after a single auto.
Obviously the viability of using Hail of Blades for burst late game depends on both team comps. If you have a solid frontline you can probably afford to sit back and stack lethal tempo and conqueror in team fights. If the enemy has tanks or juggernauts you need to get through then your hail of blades is probably going to be wasted on them. With the exception of low elo where positioning doesn't exist, this usually works best when either team has the soloq classic comp of 4 carry champs and a poke support. Regardless of the late game, Hail of Blades is still the strongest rune early, and the domination tree has late game value in eyeball collection and the choice of ingenious hunter for Luden's and Zhonya's, ultimate hunter, or treasure hunter.
TLDR: Hail of Blades is better than Comet, Aery, Electrocute, and First Strike in lane. Unless you frequently have skirmishes lasting over 5 auto attacks long, it also beats out Lethal Tempo and Conqueror.
Hail of Blades is also the best choice for a burst playstyle, and if either team lacks a proper frontline it can also outperform Lethal Tempo and Conqueror late.

2023.06.06 16:20 FatButAlsoUgly Are tanks considered balanced right now?
Always been an ADC main and never played much ARAM. But in the last few months, I've been spamming ARAM and found that if I picked a tank I've literally never played before, games were incredibly easy and my winrate skyrocketed. So I got curious and checked out ARAMzone champ winrates by build.
Almost every single 55+ WR champ build is either a tank/fighter building tank items, or a champ that does very well against tanks building something like liandries.
From my own experience, if the game goes past 2-3 items, whichever team has more tanks tends to win. I feel invincible playing tanks but I also do SO MUCH DAMAGE without building a single source of damage.
So, in your opinion, do tanks seem fair at the moment?

2023.06.06 10:30 KickerLicker Need some help with builds
I was an aram assasin and a normal support player untill now, i know how Talon works as i have played him plenty in aram. How do i play him in normals? I liked electrocute for the dmg pre 6 as it did secure me kills there, but i see people running first strike and conq. What items to build and runes to run? For example vs 4 squishies or multiple bruisetanks? Also how do i farm, i seem to get poked out by almost everyone. Had a matchup with Yone and Lisandra, pre six i got bullied vs both. They seemed to always survive on very low with almost perfect combos. I go all in if enemy gets hit with w2 for example. As support my roam timers and conditions were different as well, i know i have to shove and roam but cant seem to do that. And i was thinking of getting tp instead of ignite.

2023.06.05 21:03 stevetheclimber The /r/Mindcrack Time Capsule - 2023 Edition
Hello everybody, and welcome to the 2023 edition of the Mindcrack Time Capsule, the tenth annual version of this long-lived tradition!
As a quick description, this is an annual post where we gather up all the information on the current state of Mindcrack, seal it up, and then open it back up one year later to look back on all the changes that might’ve happened over the course of a year, and to preserve info before it gets lost to time. There’s a lot of info collected here, and so this post also serves as the best source of info on the current state of the group with information not written down anywhere else; whether you’ve been away years or actively follow the group there’s likely info here that you won’t know and it’s a good way to get caught up on the important parts of Mindcrack.
With the intro out of the way, let’s get to the actual time capsule! The current state of it follows:
—
Today is the 5th of June, 2023.
General Information
A current concise definition of Mindcrack is "A group of friends and content creators founded in 2010 who come together for gaming content and regular charity events, primarily based on Twitch."
Mindcrack currently has
24 official members with 18 active as content creators, and around 19 Friends/VIPs active in the group, though there is no official list on who all is considered a Friend. Mindcrackers and Friends are essentially the same and differ only in name.
The latest member to join officially was OMGChad on the 31st of October, 2014, and the latest member to leave was BTC (BlameTheController) on the 12th of November, 2015, however these stats are somewhat misleading. For the last 12.5 years there has been a steady stream of new friends that each gradually became part of the group as well as some that parted ways, for the first 5 years these had specific dates tied to when they officially joined and left, but since then the newcomers have gradually become active within the group in the same way without being tied to any single date for various reasons. Thus, the latest person to become a part of the group is difficult to pinpoint.
Charity
There have been
ten full Mindcrack Marathons to date and a multitude of other charity efforts, both from individuals and the full group. In total Mindcrack has raised over
$2,088,731.75 for others through their group fundraising streams since 2013, of which
$1,955,259.30 has been for the charity Extra Life (totals missing $0-5K). The latest full marathon was on November 14-20 and ran for 88 hours, raising
$128,386.51 for Extra Life.
A complete list of all totals raised during Mindcrack group fundraising streams
can be found here, the source message is pinned in the Mindcrack Discord and regularly updated.
The most recent charity event was held two months ago for Extra Life and was Mindcrack's first time running
Extra Life United, the annual gathering in Orlando where Extra Life gamers come together to connect with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and participate in a variety of tournaments. For ELU 2023 Mindcrack hosted the entire event, running the gaming tournaments, stage entertainment, and the official stream which was essentially a spring Mindcrack Marathon. ELU 2023 also featured the return of the Minecraft Building Competition, and Pakratt led team Mindcrack to another 1st place finish against 5 other teams despite an ill-timed computer failure, earning
$10,000 for the team’s hospitals.
The
Mindcrack Patreon has now been supporting Mindcrack's charity efforts for over 3 years, allowing the marathon to grow in size and production quality. Currently the Patreon has 267 Patrons pledging
$2,370 per month, with 59 Patrons on the $25 tier, 1 on the $500 tier, and the rest split between $5 and $10.
Kurt's Far Lands or Bust journey has continued on as always, with Season 10 currently coming to a close after a 54 day FLoB-a-Thon filled with adventures and over 1.5 million blocks traveled in just over a year. He is currently at
7,396,358 blocks traveled towards the Far Lands as of May 15th, 2023, sitting at 58.9% of the way there. The latest numbered episode was
#847 on May 30th, 2023. The series has raised
$472,939.92 for 7 different charities since 2011, however Season 10 did not end up supporting a charity.
MCGamer and the Zeldathon Team have raised
$3,203,023 for 12 different charities during their 34 charity events. The latest Zeldathon was Zeldathon Daybreak which raised
$125,800.00 for Direct Relief from August 2nd-8th, 2022, and they also held Side Quest: Dampe’s Twilight Tour! for Halloween from October 28th-31st which raised $12,600 for Gamers Outreach, their first time supporting the charity. The next Zeldathon will be Zeldathon Echoes, scheduled to start on July 6th raising money for charity: water.
There's also a multitude of individual charity efforts in Mindcrack; several people in the group hold streams supporting their individual Extra Life campaigns, and there's frequently one-off streams for various charities, such as Taffy’s recent subathon for St. Jude and Extra Life’s Dungeons & Dragons stream last month which Aurey joined. A complete list wouldn't be feasible to collect, but their efforts are greatly appreciated. In total everyone in the group has raised
over $6 million for charity over the years.
Regular Series
The Mindcrack Podcast is hosted by Sevadus and Guude releasing two episodes every week, consisting of a public episode every Monday and a Patron-exclusive episode every Thursday. Additionally, Patrons at the $25 tier can watch the recordings live with live chat. The latest public episode was S2E135 which released today on June 5, 2023, and the latest premium episode was episode 134 released on May 25, 2023.
Cone, Kurt, and Zeekay host the podcast
Ran When Parked which normally releases new episodes every other week, the latest episode was episode 94, however there hasn’t been a new episode in 2 months.
As of tonight Coestar's StreamADay is sitting at Day 3,471, and Phedran's daily streaming streak is on Day 2,072. Coe still holds the second longest daily streaming streak on Twitch as he approaches the ten year mark.
In the last year Subathons have really picked up, with Arkas, DumbDog, Guude, Justin, Kurt, McLaffyTaffy, Millbee, and OMGchad each having at least one, as well as many one or two day marathon streams from others, and they have resulted in many collabs within the group. Another recent fad is IRL streaming, with several in the group getting dedicated mobile streaming setups to go out in the world and stream, and Guude has almost entirely replaced his gaming content with IRL streams recently.
A large number of limited collabs appeared in the last year which aren’t currently running, most notably Mario Kart Mondays returned as a one-off appearance, the Bike Dads returned for a short period starting in the very same week, and DumbDog brought back The Checkpoint League for S2 which included Chiblee, Jaaski, and Justin. TFC Tuesday is also currently on hiatus. There are also a variety of collabs which frequently make appearances without a set schedule, including games such as Mahjong Soul and Mario Party.
The following is a list of the more stable weekly collab series within Mindcrack currently:
- Armo, Breon, Coestar, Kingster, and occasionally Ryuski play PUBG for Sunday Gunday every week, and PUBG also makes frequent appearances throughout the week with other squad combinations.
- Breon, Mhykol, and Ryuski are joined by Fortain and Omnirach every Tuesday playing games together, currently playing Space Engineers after previously playing Minecraft: Legends.
- Monday Group Games have just recently returned on Tuesdays, with several Friends and Staff playing Among Us with the Mindcrack community.
- Coestar and Guude's Two Bananas for Sale continues as always after recently hitting their 5 year anniversary, playing games together or with Patrons every Friday night. Their joint Patreon currently raises $584 per month thanks to 34 Patrons.
- Arkas, Guude, Nebris, and Pakratt continue to play Divine Journey 2 every other Saturday and just passed their 8-year anniversary playing together, however their sessions have been inconsistent since the start of the series.
- Pause and Beef have once again joined with Etho for a new Team Canada series recently, playing the Minecraft CTM map Starblight Desert.
- Guude and JSano, known as Guano, still regularly upload GeoGuessr videos on YouTube.
Servers
Season 9 of the Minecraft vanilla server is currently ongoing, but Season 10 is expected to start in the very near future after the release of 1.20, and the final server tours are already taking place. The current season started on December 11th, 2021, and the server is running on 1.19.4 with some extra plug-ins to allow $25 tier Patrons on the server. This season has had approximately
789.5 hours streamed by Mindcrack so far; the latest stream was by Soccer on January 15th. Mhykol hosts a server map at
https://mindcrackmap.com using BlueMap.
The most recent full modded server was
Crackpack Season 4, Mindcrack's 7th modded season which was active from November 2019 until January 2020.
Dadcraft’s most recent server was Minecraft Vault Hunters; Chiblee, DumbDog, Jaaski, and Justin joined others on the server earlier this year.
Adlington, Arkas, Cone, Dire, Doc, Kurt, Phedran, and VintageBeef all have
fan servers for Twitch subs and/or Patrons, but some might not be active at the moment.
Ultra Hardcore (UHC)
There have been 33+32 (Thirty-one donation UHCs and S4b) seasons of Mindcrack UHC.
Breon, Coestar, ConeDodger, and Kingster are the winners of the latest UHC season, Season 33, which was streamed on the 26th of February, 2022.
Amethyst, BigGiantCircles, and HonneyPlay are the winners of the latest donation UHC, the 31st of its kind, which was streamed on the 20th of November.
PauseUnpause is the most deadly player in regular UHCs with
36 kills, and Arkas and Coestar are tied for the most deadly player in donation UHCs with
38 kills each. Nebris and VintageBeef are tied for the most wins in regular UHCs with
9, and Kurt has the most wins in charity UHCs with
7. (
Latest UHC stats by Guardax)
Seasons can be categorized as follows: 24 teams of four, 15 teams of two, 14 teams of three, 8 free-for-all, 2 PvE, 1 teams of five, 1 teams of ten.
This was the first year since 2015 without a spring charity UHC, as running Extra Life United took precedence.

There are currently about 28 people part of Mindcrack that stream on Twitch regularly(past 3 months), and about 7 that upload YouTube videos with non-streamed content.
In the last year there were approximately
32,950 hours streamed on
Twitch by about 41 Members and Friends, with
2,880 combined hours streamed during last month. During that year there were 875 unique categories streamed and 3,589,000 hours watched on Twitch which is equal to 410 years.
The most streamed games in order were Minecraft, PUBG, Words on Stream, PlateUp!, and Noita. Minecraft had the most streamers with 32, most hours streamed with 4,994, and second most hours watched with 427,540; the category Just Chatting was also among the most streamed and had the most hours watched with 561,200, and Travel & Outdoors and Special Events were also among the top.
Here's a chart showing monthly hours streamed by Mindcrack members from August 2015 to May 2023;
here's a similar chart with Friends added starting May 2020.
According to the
Mindcrack website, the total
YouTube subscribers across all official Mindcrackers is
9,042,471, the total number of videos is
71,787, and the total views is
2,418,417,594. The website hasn't been updated in years and these numbers have not changed since the last time capsule, so they are at least one year out of date.
The total member count across public
Discord servers in Mindcrack is
27,789 which includes significant overlap(13,537 for just Mindcrack Members). In total there's been approximately
10,587,460 messages sent across all 36 servers including from bots, but I don't have numbers from every server. Cone’s Discord has overtaken Coe’s as by far the most active server, with over 340,000 messages in the last year alone.
SethBling is the most subscribed on YouTube with
2 million subscribers as well as the most followed on Twitter with
360,297 followers.
Sevadus has the most Twitch followers with
410,340 followers.
Darkosto has the largest Discord server with
8,299 members, and among the Mindcrack Members
OMGchad has the largest with
1,955 members.
Subreddit
mindcrack has approximately 45,000 subscribers. Discord servers and Twitch chats are the primary places the active Mindcrack community's interactions are based, so the subreddit sees minimal activity.
The Moderator Team of mindcrack consists of 10 humans and 2 bots: GuudeBoulderfist, pakratt0013, stinusmeret, Zisteau, pajam, Lost-Chord, Compieuter, ArmoAram, stevetheclimber, emilythecool, MindcrackTwitchBot, and CrackBot / AutoModerator.

Miscellaneous
Docm77 and VintageBeef are also members of HermitCraft, and Arkas, Chiblee, Coestar, Jaaski, Justin, and Pause are all members of Dadcraft. After making a game on the HermitCraft server, Beef recently released a physical trading card game available for purchase.
SethBling currently holds 2nd place for the Super Mario World 0 Exit speedrun with a time of 41.350 seconds. He also holds records for several speedrun categories he created. In December Chiblee got the world record for time to first WooHoo in The Sims 4 without expansions with a time of 24.410 seconds; this has since been pushed back to 2nd place.
In the lives of the Mindcrackers and Friends there’s been many changes over the last year; Sevadus and Trent’s wedding will be later this month with other Mindcrackers attending, others in the group have started dating, there’s been many new pets across Mindcrack, and there’s been lots of travel and a bit of moving, including Pakratt and Honney who are currently in the middle of moving. Because of changes in the economy, some people in the group have gotten new jobs and slowed down their content.
Throughout the year many people in the group have met up in a variety of places which has seemingly become more prominent thanks to an increase in IRL streaming. Some of these were just meeting as friends such as Mhykol driving to Breon’s place or Soccer and Shelbs visiting Arkas, while others were for Mindcrack events such as ELU where many of them stayed extra days and streamed local activities together.
There have been no public updates in the last year on Mindcrack's progress towards becoming a non-profit that's publicly been in the works for years. This long transition period is seemingly one of the main reasons that new Mindcrackers haven’t been added recently, as the definition of membership was always anticipated to be changing soon and in essence already changed years ago.

Thanks for reading through the tenth time capsule!
There’s still time to add more though, if there’s any info that you want to add you can add it! Whether it’s extra info on the group, predictions about the future, comments on the members, or anything else, feel free to leave it in a comment and I’ll add it to the time capsule.
There’s a lot that goes on across the full Mindcrack group and I’ve barely been able to watch any streams this year, so if you see anything I've missed, put down incorrectly, or forgotten, be sure to let me know and I'll fix it!
