Shitty Dark Souls is a community that celebrates the awesomeness, and often shittiness of the game Dark Souls, as well as the rest of the 'Souls' universe. Whereas /DarkSouls is a community around Dark Souls that is more discussion oriented in nature, /ShittyDarkSouls is about playful, and charming comics that mock and/or poke fun at the Dark Souls universe.

2023.06.08 23:58 Spider-Man2024 A tale of betral

Once upon a time in Albuquerque, New Mexico, a city known for its vibrant culture and blue skies, an unexpected turn of events unfolded in the lives of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. Walter, a brilliant chemist turned notorious methamphetamine producer, found himself embroiled in a web of deception. Rumors began to circulate about an imposter who was masquerading as Heisenberg, Walter's infamous alter ego. This imposter had been causing havoc in the criminal underworld, tarnishing Walter's hard-earned reputation and undermining his authority. Determined to reclaim his name and protect their business, Walter approached Jesse with a proposition. "Walt, what are we gonna do about this imposter?" Jesse asked, scratching his head in bewilderment. "We find him, Jesse," Walter replied with a glint of determination in his eyes. "We need to put an end to this before it spirals out of control." With that, the unlikely duo set off on their quest, determined to uncover the truth. They combed through their network of contacts, interrogating anyone who might have information about the imposter's identity. Their investigation took them to the darkest corners of the city, where they encountered dangerous criminals and unpredictable situations. As they delved deeper into the mystery, Jesse began to notice subtle changes in Walter's behavior. He became more secretive, his eyes filled with a peculiar intensity that Jesse hadn't seen before. Doubts started to creep into Jesse's mind, but he pushed them aside, attributing them to the stress of their mission. One fateful night, while following a lead, Jesse found himself face to face with the imposter, cornered in a dimly lit warehouse. The imposter revealed himself to be none other than Walter White. Shock and disbelief washed over Jesse as he struggled to comprehend the magnitude of the betrayal. "Walt, what the hell is going on?" Jesse stammered, his voice trembling with a mix of anger and hurt. Walter's sinister smile sent chills down Jesse's spine. "You were always expendable, Jesse. I needed to eliminate any loose ends, and you're no exception." Before Jesse could react, Walter lunged forward, a knife glinting in his hand. The two engaged in a desperate struggle, their previous partnership dissolved into a battle for survival. The warehouse echoed with the sounds of their fight, a stark contrast to the silence that enveloped Jesse's shattered trust. In the end, Walter's cunning prevailed, and Jesse lay motionless on the cold warehouse floor. The imposter, now unmasked, reveled in his victory, a twisted satisfaction gleaming in his eyes. But as Walter stood over Jesse's lifeless body, a wave of remorse washed over him. The weight of his actions finally settled upon his shoulders, and the man who had once been a mild-mannered chemistry teacher crumbled under the weight of his sins. Alone in that grim warehouse, Walter White, the imposter, confronted the darkness that had consumed him. The legacy he had fought so fiercely to build now lay in ruins, stained with the blood of his former partner. And so, the story of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, once bound by a common purpose, ended in tragedy and betrayal, leaving a scar on the Albuquerque underworld that would never fade away

2023.06.08 23:53 MistressAthena69 Feedback of a new player.

As a new player, I have quite a few inputs of feedback. Since this is Beta, I'm hoping this is the place to do it.
I feel as though there seems to be way too much benefits to attackers in the form of how many tickets they get, how fast and easy everything is to destroy in terms of fortifications, etc, and how easy it is to just flank, and mow down defenders. All of this seems quite unbalanced.
As a whole, I'd like to see defenses be more durable, as well as sandbags, and wire be more dynamic in placement. This makes using TnT, flamethrowers, and vehicles to assault and destroy defenses more required, than just mowing down the defenders, and easily destroying these emplacements with a small sneeze.
Other notes:
1) More information on what stuff means in upgrades for squads would be nice. This is completely confusing for new players, and some things are not explained at all, for example, what is "Reserves". Is that how many times I can bring it out in battle? I've never seem to have hit a time I couldn't, so what this exactly means is confusing.

2) Flamethrowers are completely broken and overpowered. The instant I touch a flame I'm dead, because by the time I put it out, I'm on fire again anyway because being anywhere within 10 nautical miles of another flame instantly puts me back on fire.
I think these weapons need to be more niche in use, and much quicker to run out of fuel. They should be used in situations where the enemy is heavily dug in, and you need to clear out a dense concentration of them. Not a tool to use on the fly, to literally lawnmower the enemy out of buildings and cap points indefinitely.

3) Paratroopers. Having them able to literally just paratroop on the next cap is a bit busted... I've seen it numerous times, and it makes it impossible for the opposing team to fall back, and and actually setup defenses.

4) Workshop upgrades seem a little.. linear, and restricting.
An example is the Grenadier Regiment I have. I can unlock a Sniper, Engineer, or Radioman, as well as another further down in the upgrades.
however, the Workshop, only allows me to buff, or upgrade the Mannlicher.. Some of these units don't even use that weapon.
a) Only 1 unit actually comes with that weapon. THe rest come with K98. Meaning I have to waste equipment tokens outfitting the rest of them with that weapon. Or just give up any and all upgrades for those units.
b) Any purchased soldier also comes with the K98, not the weapon that that squad gets buffs for.
c) Down the road I can unlock other forms of rifles, which are arguably better, or potentially better for how I'm trying to setup that dynamic squad.. Being able to have radioman, AT, Snipers, Engineers, etc.. allows this squad to be built quite dynamically.. And yet, its all thrown away and worthless because the Workshop says I'm only going to be the best with 1 type of weapon, which 99% of the units don't even come with.
My suggestion, is that if you want to force a squad to be proficient at a specific weapon, allow the base units in that squad to start with that weapon.
Or allow the players to choose which weapon they want that squad to be proficient with. Whether its the Mannlicher, Kar98, etc, with additional upgrade paths for other weapons suitable for that squad further down the upgrade tree. Example having a Workshop upgrade further down the path, for the Gewehr 43.

5) I mentioned before that defenses are too weak to really matter. Maybe that's why nobody bothers building any. If the emplacements, sandbags, wire, etc. are all made more durable, I think this would go a long way to slowing down the combat a bit more.
90% of my games, has been zerg rushes to the cap, and 1 team just rolls the other, because there is never a time or opportunity to build them. The enemy is immediately on your cap, or on your next cap almost instantly.
This is doubly so for emplacements like the Anti Vehicle blockades, X's (forgot what they're called).
I think slowing down the combat just slightly, or having a momentary moment, where the attackers cannot push forward yet, letting the defenders fall back, and at least put up some quick temporary defenses would help. This doesn't need to be any longer than 30 seconds or so, but something to give a little breathing room, and distance between the two again.
The maps are simply too small and too compact, to allow anything else to really work imo, but something really should be done to help the defenders actually defend.

6) Binoculars, or a "Radioman" with Binoculars, able to "paint", or mark enemies for allied planes. Only planes can see these marks, and they'd light up an AOE area on the ground for a short period, where any enemy units in it, are lit up for the aircraft to see.
This doesn't need to be a huge area, even a small area would be helpful, when there is a zerg rush konga line of enemies, marking a spot with the binocs, so the enemies keep getting light up as they cross would help pilots see what's going on better, without it being completely broken, and free win.
If this was limited to just the radioman, it would also help limit the abuse of it, and be very centric towards what a radioman's job would realistically be.

2023.06.08 23:53 DietrichVanMeier 23 M Europe - History and Literature Enthusiast

Hi. I'm looking to talk to new people, maybe make a friend
They are:
History, especially the 19th-20th century but with more broad and general knowedge in other time periods. I'm not an expert or anything but I am pretty passionate about it and tend to read/listen about one event or the other on a pretty regular basis.
Literature, especially old novels. I recently read Demian (my all time favourite book), Day of the Oprichnik, Heart of Darkness, the Perfume and Little Prince. Some of my other favourite works would include: "The Picture of Dorian Gray", "Faust part I" (need to get to part II) and "No Longer Human". I also like to write short stories and book reviews. I'd also really like to read the same book with someone and discuss it. I just started reading Grimm's fairy tales.
Languages. I know three, with one being a bit rusty. I'm currently working to scrape off the rust and then when I'm finished with that will begin to learn a fourth language. It's fun to go through different works in multiple languages. For example, I read the aforementioned Faust part I in all three.
Games. I recently played Cyberpunk 2077. Now that the dust has settled and the bugs mostly removed...It's not that bad! The main questline at least, Fallout 76 (Very average, I'm dissapointed with what they made the "RPG" system) and will try out Deus Ex Manking Divided again ( Got inspired since it's somewhat similar to Cyberpunk). I was waiting to play Elden Ring but it ended being too stressful for me. Go here and get beaten up go there and get beaten up, repeat...Besides that I'm a big fan of Paradox strategy games...like EU IV and HoI IV (also thinking of making my own project for HoI IV). I am definitely looking forward to try out Victoria III, after they add more content to it. I also got Modern Warfare 2, since the first MW had great multiplayer gameplay.
Anime and Manga. In recent times my interest has waned but I still watch the occasional series here and there. Like Cyberpunk Edgerunners (Which I found to be rather mediocre) and the very good new season of Bleach. Some other favourites include: Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Death Note, Fate;Zero, Psycho Pass , Higurashi (season 2 is a bit weak but the first one is a masterpiece of horror), Code Geass, Attack on Titan and others. My favourite Manga is Berserk...I hope it gets a good ending..the first couple of new chapters were...a bit rough but the new author seems to have got his footing.
Anyway, that should be enough information to give you a good picture... Before I go, I would like to ask for you to include the title of the last book you read in your reply. A small request, I feel. I'll be ignoring those that don't.

2023.06.08 23:50 Gbreeder Incarnated prisons - etc.

So, fellows attacked us - Yah'wei's bunch.
We also cleared out Sheogorath / Legolas / Beetlejuice / Joker - that guys stomach awhile ago now.
We did that to others too.
But, Sheogorath got very hungry. Giving people their brains or whatever back also meant that they were suddenly fully back in control and angry.
The brain stuff, was kinda creepy.
Anyways.
We retaliated against Yah'wei. Technically, he was acting as a slave driver or ruler.
And telling people lies or whatever - plus the whole genocide of places in the astral, my own relatives places and whatnot.
We ended up getting a starved Sheogorath to eat bad guys that we rounded up.
Yah'wei's people trap others souls and bodies in black boxes. Then they place them into swords or contraptions and weaponize or use them for whatever purposes.
They gave people's kin and allies swords full of their own "missing family / friends".
Anyways, we swept through all their torture dungeons and broke all the black boxes and swords and whatnot.
Their contraptions are all more or less dealt with.
I did mention that the people I'm with did manage to sneak in and incarnate.
Most people, are all let in by the "Angels" or celestials. Those guys seem to have forced A LOT of people to incarnate and them immediately imprisoned them in swords or wherever else.
Beings like Vai'daiilikk for example.
He look a lot like the cloaked reapers with no faces and a scythe in some mythologies or whatever.
I've mentioned a being named Botin Edomines Hellscree Maaktrashisha Traysayfusche being called the Reaper King or other names.
It does appear that the cloaked guys are a lot older than him, but Hellscree can actually defeat a lot of their "Kings" in multiple groups.
The phantom guys from the lord of the rings may have been these reapers descendants.
Vai'daiilikk, would be a King. He's a sort of fellow that likes to kill. He was in a sword.
While sweeping through all the areas we did find a being simply called The Grim Reaper. A King from the same wave / race as Vai'daiilikk.
Sometimes he has apprentices.
So his apprentices help guide people to certain afterlifes. Or they used to.
It seems like he was attacked at some point, and after that beings were all sent to basically hell.
Most of his people after that simply collected souls and saved them / made them parts of their faction. Some of them would guide souls to that place / faction.
I guess he started rebelling when he heard about me in the astral, and about others doing whatever. Others did so too.
So a lot of troops were just all readied because of multiple planes around them getting ready for war.
We had actually found a lot of pieces of "The Grim Reaper"'s soul chunks and whatever awhile back along with a bunch of others.
Regardless, they've joined up with us - we swept through their stuff and whatnot.
I'd say that we are pretty much done sweeping everything.
The very bad / people who tried making a forced stage / show / game or being in Earth militaries that took over Earth and oppressed her - sociopaths, murderers and whoever - those incarnated fellows were placed into a prison that we had Sheogorath eat / tricked him into eating.
The madness stuff won't reach them, we used Wabbajack that we took from the outside of Sheogorath's whatever along with other totems to seal them over all those fellows seal thing. And Sheogorath can't touch it either.
The only non incarnated beings in there are sentient mirrors, buildings or whatever.
But yeah. A lot of beings sealed in weapons or wherever else - we simply moved them into that whole place after getting them out because they aren't good.
A lot of incarnated fellows were freed though from the boxes and whatnot and are just free now.
Non incarnated warmongers, genocidal whatever and the like though. They were sent wherever - whoever else went to vaults, new ones.
Some wanted to go to them as usual due to trauma.
We also recovered stolen weapons or caches - that sorta stuff. Lot of sentient weapons, tools or whatnot all used together to do whatever.
So they get scrubbed and are sent wherever.
Lot of sentient robots or robotic individuals in sort of prisons or scrap yards being forced to do whatever - or as weapons.

2023.06.08 23:49 Byte_Juggler Overhyped. Wish.com MMO

Unpopular opinion, but the open world and generic side quest element and mob scaling to your level in all zones, makes my experience feel incredibly shallow.
Also you can't earn cool looking items. You have to go through macro transactions. F that.
Considering just uninstalling and doing another Elden Ring rerun.

Retro Joshi #481: Jd’ August 19, 2001, GAEA Augst 19 - 26, 2001, JWP August 31, 2001 & NEO September 1, 2001
2001/08/25 Jd' BS Japan (08/19)
Week two of this taping looked awful so I skipped it. Fang Suzuki & Sachie Abe vs. Ariya & Obacchi Iizuka and Ayano Omori vs. Haruka Matsuo comprised that show. First week was more interesting. 2nd Generation Athtress Yumi Oka Debut Match: Keiko Furuta & Teruko Kagawa vs. Yumi Oka & Chiaki Kashida (7:33). Some of these athress matches have been fine on a very low level, but this wasn’t one of them. Oka was easily the worst one so far and had no idea what to do at any point. DUD. Sumie Sakai Requested Special Match: Sumie Sakai vs. Megumi Yabushita (20:21). Worked as a total grudge match with Yabushita playing the role of the Bloody early on, though not as well because she’s not a complete maniac devising all kinds of wild spots. It turned their typical submission vs high spot work. It worked better than you'd think but they don’t really seem to ever take their work to the next level. It was another good and entertaining match from them though. ***.
GAEA G-PANIC 52 (08/19/01 - 08/26/01)
8/19: GAORA Cup Tournament 1st Round: Mayumi Ozaki vs. Meiko Satomura (13:34)
Ozaki’s actually working at a reasonably high level this year compared to the last couple of years. This was a good and energetic match. The two spent most of the match answering each other and blocking the big blows. The finish didn’t work great with Ozaki countering the Death Valley Bomb into a sloppy DDT. It was a good match though. ***
GAORA Cup Tournament 1st Round: Aja Kong vs. KAORU (10:34)
Remember that excellent match they had in 2000? Yeah, this was not that. They played off a bit of what they did in that match but it was pretty clear Aja didn’t give a shit and was just going along with whatever KAORU had in mind. So it was just a total spotfest brawl with a ton of Police interference. It was okay for what it was, but that was about it. **1/4
GAORA Cup Tournament Final: Mayumi Ozaki vs. Chikayo Nagashima (6:17 / 13:34)
They showed all of that KAORU nonsense and chopped the tournament final in half. What they showed was their typical fast-paced high level work but the editing killed it. Still worth *** though.
HHH 2nd Title Match: Kaori Nakayama vs. Sakura Hirota (5:43)
Sabu Hirota. The only funny bit was Hirota accidentally destroying her belt, Nakayama won by hitting her with the other garbage belt. 1/4*
8/26: AAAW Single Next Challenger Tournament Semi Final: KAORU vs. Aja Kong (9:50)
KAORU beats Aja twice on the same show, and this made their match earlier in the show look like a technical masterpiece. Just awful garbage wrestling. I can’t believe they showed the finish in slow motion, KAORU missed that shitty uppercut by a mile. *
AAAW Single Next Challenger Tournament Semi Final: Meiko Satomura vs. Toshie Uematsu (11:42)
This match was pretty good for a while, but Ozaki kinda killed it when she told them something, which prompted them to start badly brawling and using weapons. **1/4
AAAW Single Next Challenger Tournament Final: Meiko Satomura vs. KAORU (11:40)
Shitty KAORU garbage match where they just do a bunch of random stuff again. Fuck off. KAORU sucks, that’s it, that’s the review. *
They showed an angle where Chigusa returns and turns heel.
JWP 8/31/2001
Kaori Yoneyama vs. Haruka Matsuo (9:13)
We seem to be hitting the dregs of JWP. Haruka is decent when compared to the athresses, she didn’t do anything wrong unless you want to nitpick at some sloppily executed stuff, but Yoneyama has 5 times the impact behind everything she does, even her basic stretching. This was a fun rookie level match though. *1/2
Kobina Ichikawa vs. Yuka Nakamura (14:01)
Mostly boring stretching and comedy with some lousy brawling and spots thrown in. Yeah, you don’t want to watch this. 1/2*
Command Bolshoi vs. Tsubasa Kuragaki (14:40)
A lot of stretching, but turned into a decent match in the closing minutes with Bolshoi pressing for a submission win and Tsubasa trying to turn it into a striking and spot match. Bolshoi was too clever for her though. **
JWP Tag Title Match: Ran YuYu & Misae Genki vs. Azumi Hyuga & Kayoko Haruyama (21:42)
This was more like it, Haruyama was there to get slaughtered and that’s what happened early, she fired up pretty well though. The best action was supplied by Azumi and Ran, but Genki was good too. What was odd was that Azumi and Haruyama were in the heel role, doing the heel spots and Haruyama was interfering frequently, though at least that gave her the chance to be effective. Azumi & Haruyama won the belts, which is actually kind of a shame because Ran & Genki were a cool tag team. Genki nailed them with a chair after the match. ***
NEO Summer Vacation Doesn't End 9/1/2001 Tokyo Differ Ariake
NEO Kitazawa Tag Team Title / NEO Itabashi Tag Team Title Match: Yuka Nakamura & Yuka Shiina vs. Tanny Mouse & Yuki Miyazaki (15:14)
This was okay. Our boot scootin’ baby actually seems to be improving a bit, she still works like a second year junior but she’s getting more fluid, either that or Miyzaki and Tanny are just carrying her better. Tanny was okay until she started with the comedy spots. Miyazaki was the best one in the match as usual, and Shiina was solid. **
Acute Sae vs. Chiaki Nishi (2:40, 6:10)
The thing with comedy wrestlers is they get stale after you've seen the act a few times and that's definitely happening with Nishi0. Sae beat Nishi for a bit, and then Nishi went outside and Sae chased her all around the building, which caused a double count out. Then they had just restarted the match. Sae went and killed Nishi’s stuffed toy and they had more so they used those as weapons and they ended up chasing each other around the building for a second time. All this nonsense took around 10 minutes total and it felt like an hour. DUD
Kyoko Inoue vs. Chaparita ASARI (4:53)
ASARI ran around doing her spots, threw a bunch of chairs on Kyoko outside and tried to make the most of this. Kyoko was awful again, really sluggish, barely went with the spots and sold nothing anyway. I’d say ASARI deserved better than this. 1/4*
Mima Shimoda vs. Yoshiko Tamura (10:20)
A little different to their previous matches, this one was a Shimoda 10 minute sprint and a good one. Tamura opened with the red mist and got a jumpstart but then got beaten around the building. Once they were back in the ring it was mainly back and forth spots. Pretty exciting and good match. ***
NWA Women's Pacific & NEO Title Match: Misae Genki vs. Lioness Asuka (20:40)
They worked a pretty good mat based match in the first two thirds and then we were off with the table spot and high spots in the last third. Lioness ended up getting fed up with Genki and thrashing her on the outside, though I’m not sure she ever put Genki over as enough of a threat to warrant resorting to it in the first place. Genki got one last burst in after that with a pair of G Drivers, but Lioness just crushed her. Match was good but never really felt competitive enough. **3/4

2023.06.08 23:46 Elder_Lichmc My two gold coins

Hello everyone! Here are some suggestions that come often to my mind when playing the game:
  1. Metals through portals: After defeating a boss, the corresponding biome metal can be carried through portals.
  2. Dedicated equipment slots: for weapons, shields armor... etc.
    1. Derived from this:
      1. Dual-wielding: Let one handed weapons to be dual-wielded. Secondary attack becomes offhand attack instead of secondary attack of main weapon. Blocking, parry... etc stats still those of main weapon.
  3. Improve ranged aiming system: Either modify where the projectile comes from the model or adjust the crosshair accordingly.
    1. First person aiming or zooming in would be welcome too.
  4. Everything that consumes stamina should have a related skill which reduces stamina cost of that action, even no-combat actions like farming, etc. (Honestly, I think that after plating about thousands of onions one should become somehow better at it)
  5. A way to moor ships or at list tie them to a post.
  6. Increase base raid difficulty:
    1. Increase number of mobs per raid.
    2. Increase number of higher level mobs per raid.
    3. Allow mobs from different biomes to "ally" for raids after you defeat their corresponding bosses, resulting in bigger and harder raids.
    4. It's easy to cheese most raids digging ditches, as most mobs cannot jump or fly. They should have some skill to circumvent this.
    5. Add dvergar raids, happening after you steal your first extractor (like they try to get it back or just avenge dvergar you killed).
      1. If someday siege weapons are added, make it so dvergar use them on raids.
  7. Regarding magic:
    1. Add secondary skill to casting weapons.
      1. Staff of embers: shoots a cone of flame in front of you as long you hold the button (like a flamethrower). Has a "build up" until it starts casting. Damage and eitr consumption start low and increase geometrically.
      2. Staff of frost: emits a gust of cold wind, pushing enemies away from the caster and applying a freezing effect. Cone AOE, no damage, very high knockback.
      3. Staff of protection: creates an static dome which is only passable for allied entities. Same stats as the shield cast, doesn't move, blocks movement.
      4. Dead Raiser: allows you to recall your current summons to your location, no matter the distance. Consumes very little eitr and hp (otherwise doesn't make sense).
    2. If dual wielding is added, magic could be also double wielded applying the same principle: your secondary attack will be offset staff main skill.
    3. The cost of summoning skeletons doesn't match their strength or usefulness. I understand they become stronger with the skill, but I think that they should be stronger in their early stages.
      1. Other idea: hold the button to summon. The longer you hold, the more eitr and hp you invest and the stronger the summoned skellies. This would add some risk-reward to it. Sometimes I need summons to fight, but sometimes I just need something to distract pursuers... etc.
    4. More summons. I'd love a summoner build.
    5. Healing spell/spells based on blood magic. Sacrifice a part of your HP to heal your summons and allies.
    6. A spell that restores stamina in an area (affects the caster too) at the cost of HP.
    7. Staff of Lightning:
      1. Main skill: shoots a lightning bolt in front of you. If it connects, jumps to the nearest possible target. Chance to stun targets. Number of jumps depends on staff level. Damage and stun chance on skill level. Wet enemies receive extra damage. (Basically good ol' Chain Lightning)
      2. Secondary skill: stomp the floor with the staff, releasing an electric shock in an area around you. Enemies receive damage and have a chance of being stunned.
    8. Enthralling spell:
      1. Main skill: charms a mob which becomes an ally for the duration of the spell. (Apply level/size restrictions for balance)
      2. Secondary skill: you gain direct control of a mob, but your own body is left behind defenseless until you release it or your eitr depletes.
    9. Getting enough soft tissue is currently very difficult for a coop playthrough. I don't ask it to be easy, but there should be other sources of it at least.
    10. An upgrade for both Wiplights and Wisp torches. There should be a higher tear which clears the fog in a larger area.
  8. Let us ally dvergar temporarily. Maybe throwing a big stack of coins at them, "taming" them temporarily.
  9. Bigger and more complex dungeons. Exploring dungeons is a fun part of the game, but would benefit from variety and complexity.
  10. Add new mechanics, mobs, dungeons... whatever to previous biomes after you defeat subsequent bosses. The game would benefit from making every biome interesting for the whole progression of the game rather than just being an almost linear progression.
  11. NPC bases. Not just the fuling camps. I'd love to raid and siege villages, forts etc. In the end, why would you have to be the only ones in Valheim, or even the first ones? Maybe others just settled.
  12. Rowing. Having several norsemen staring at nothing next to empty oar holes becomes frustrating.
  13. Fishing: add fish nets, fish traps... some other fishing implements.
  14. Other ship types, like a cargo ship or a simple boat with oars. "Jumping" from a mere raft to a karve feels weird.
  15. Backpacks, sacks, bags... carrying equipment in general.
  16. Pikes or long spears. Later middle ages have already been introduced, so I don't see why shouldn't we have such weapons.
  17. Camouflage: accessories made from biome resources which grant a bonus to stealth while you are in that biome.
That's it for now. I will be happy to have your thoughts on these :)

2023.06.08 23:42 ChickenAndBeer4life Gameplay tips

New to this series. Used to playing Witcher 3, Elden ring, Skyrim type games. I’m level 5 Druid and just morphing into bear and smashing stuff. Few questions if someone can help-
Where are the other players? Am in on a solo mode or do they come later?
Is there a weight limit to carry stuff?
Any Druid tips? Do I need to carry this totem around? Does it even do anything?
Playing Xbox and does the right joystick do anything? I can move with the left one but is there no point of view movement?
Thanks!

2023.06.08 23:37 Dadoftheyear2018 Are there any really really rare items to look out for when playing?

Ive played a lot of grim dawn in the past and right now im hoarding items for future builds, im selling a lot of green items and unsure when it comes to monster infrequents. From any long time and experienced players do you happen to know which items are worth holding onto or are incredibly rare? For example say parts of the Kriegs set. Dark ones set etc
I understand when you have a lot of time in the game you tend to hold onto level 94 gear which is what im trying to aim towards as over the years ive stored set pieces when in reality you can powerlevel quickly when you know what you're doing and those level 40 sets or whatever become useless.
Im sure the ring dropped from Alkamo (something along those lines) is super rare drop rate on that monster but in the same sense throughout all of grim dawn are there any big big items which are valuable to traders and builds? Thank you all

2023.06.08 23:33 HikerGal01 It feels like rupees are much harder to come by and everything is much more expensive than in BOTW. how to afford armor / house???

In botw money was pretty plentiful. You still had to save up your rupees and sell stuff off to buy new armors, but in botw there was never a feeling of "ooh, I can't afford that, I'm not going to buy it this game, I'll get by on potions for the rest of the game instead."
I've had moments in totk where I decided not to board a horse because those 20 rupees just feel like so much more in this game. I get that they're trying to adjust the balance, but in my opinion, the rupee shortage makes gameplay really grindy and unfun.
I have a couple amibo that help by supplying some meat and stuff, but they only work once a day and I don't want to spend a bunch of real life money on amibo. plus, the stuff the amibo drop don't sell for so much anymore.
I just want to goof around and build a mansion in tarrey town and ride my homemade hovercraft around the world. I don't want to grind battle taluses and then wait at campfires for the next blood moons so I can kill the taluses again.
Is there a duplication glitch or something that I can do to get a bunch of items? How do you earn your money in this game?

2023.06.08 23:32 phezthegrand Father in law debacle

To start, me and my FIL have had our ups and downs through the years. From what I have heard he use to be a great father when my husband and sister in law where younger. But the man I know, IV drugs, no job - living off the survivors checks from his wife who passed away from IV drug use, giving away every cent of that to "girlfriends" on the internet that promised him the world only to never show up, and so much more. He did all of this and expected me and my husband to take care of his every need, cook him food, shelter, cigarettes, our internet where he could talk to the "girlfriends", rides anywhere he wanted to go, and to come and go as he pleased.
You can skip this next part to get to my dilemma or read for a little context this is a summary not everything he put us through
《A little of his story: He had a fully functioning house, water, electricity, gas, heating and ac. Started really getting into drugs, and the "girlfriends" well there went the money for the bills and food. Around this time we decided to put a trailer on some property he owned and in return keep up and maintain the 3 acres (because he wasn't and the city was on him). When signing the land rental agreement he unbeknownst to us put we had to pay him $400 to stay on the property. So we paid that to him but he also wasn't paying the property tax on the land, we paid that too. All the while every summer and winter when it got to hot/cold he stayed with us rent free ate our food and made himself at home. Coming and going as he pleased sometimes with our vehicles...gone for days. We decided we had enough of living by his terms since we were on his land and he felt like he could access our home anytime he felt like... so we got a house. While the trailer was in selling limbo he broke into it, rented it out falsified our names to have utilities cut on. ~ fast forward a bit he sells his house and gave the money to a "girlfriend" and started drawing early retirement. Still giving every penny to different "girlfriends" and dumpster diving for food. With the trailer finally off his land he made essentially a homeless camp and invited his druggy friend to slum it up with him. Still coming to our house during the summer and the winter to survive and mooch off of us. We'll his druggy friends kick him off "his" property (it got sold at auction). He started living with other druggy friends but they had no running water food, anything really but a house and electricity. He starts taking the bus to our house and randomly showing up for food. Somehow my husband convinced me to let him live here instead of like a homless man. I agree.》 ☆I'd like to add while all of this was happening we found out our son was level 3 autistic needing significant supports, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, ABA therapy, so we had our hands full☆
Back to the main point... he came to live with us, I expected withdrawals from the drugs, well after a few months I noticed he wasn't getting better, 3 months of begging him to go to the doctor even me putting him on medicaid where he could go... refused right until 2 weeks ago when he could barely breathe. I bring him to a quick care they take and x ray and tell us to immediately go to the hospital. Hospital 3 blood clots, and what they suspect to be level 3 or 4 lung cancer (won't know until they do an out patient biopsy). They do a few surgeries 1 to remove the 2 blood clots in his lungs 2 to put a filter in his heart. He is currently in rehab to build the strength to come home.
■ Problem ■ During the hospital stay my sister in law swoops in after having nothing to do with her dad for years, doctor told her her dad would have a year to live, doctor told my husband 4 to 9 months to live. Sister in law knows someone who has stage 4 lung cancer and has been alive for 3-4 years with it thinks the doctor doesn't know what he's talking about. I asked if we should put him in a home after rehab, i have a lot to juggle with my son. Sister in law shoots down that idea with a bit of an attitude, and says he WIL stay at home as long as possible. ○keep this in mind○ I explained to her I'm putting our son back in speech therapy and occupational therapy during the summer (school provides it during the year) and we have had a disney trip planned for over a year now, my sister in laws wife is a teacher and says she'll help. We find out he is getting out this Friday (tomorrow), we leave for Disney Sunday and don't get back till Saturday night. I explain he cant stay at my house unattended especially just coming out of rehab. He is now on oxygen and has to use a walker, I just know in my bones my father in law is going to fall. I say he can go to your house for a week and come back or you can come stay at our house for a week till we come back and then I'll take over care. NOPE my sister in law says, he can't come to her house ... I put my foot down ... he isn't staying here unattended. She responded with well I guess he's just going to have to go into a home.
FIRST OFF I NEVER WANTED TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR DYING FATHER, I am disabled and have my appointments to attend as well as my son's therapy appointments to attend but you just expected me to take care of him till he died. I got over it and accepted that I was going to be his caretaker, even though this shouldn't have been my responsibility.
It all boils down to it was okay when I was going to take full care of him, but when you need to take care of him for 1 week (7 days) he has got to go into a home.
I am livid, am I in the wrong?
