Before I even begin, I want to specify I am mostly posting this just to rant/vent as I have no one in the world to talk to about this.
My very first day ever today was a disaster. First batch was 58 items, and I couldn't find about half of them. By the time I would have everything figured out it would have been WAY past the allotted deadline. I figured I should just cancel this order and someone more experienced can pick it up... the app wouldn't let me cancel! I sat there in the parking lot for 10 minutes contacting support to do so, and by this time I had been out for 45 minutes.
I shortly after accepted another delivery from the same store: 6 items. I got this. All was going fantastically, until I reached an area I have never driven in before. Little did I know, this area has MOBILE FUCKING TRAFFIC CAMERAS mounted to police vehicles that I am 95% confident caught me going over the limit. By how much only the Lord knows as my speedometer is not perfect in the aforementioned old car.
At this point I decided I was done for the day and am now sitting at home. After looking up traffic ticket/defensive driving course fees in my city, I've determined that I just spent two hours of my life to make NEGATIVE $230 DOLLARS.
I feel like crying. Every time I try to make a little extra dough on the side I end up getting screwed and being worse off than where I started. Fuck this world entirely.

Recently someone called my office to verify my employment, I had taken the day off, this is a small business, my boss text me and told me about it. I had no idea why so the following day I got the number they called from and called back to ask why? Found out it was a debt collection group trying to garnish my wages from a hospital bill from 2011. I did in fact go to that hospital in 2011, I was in a car accident and went just to get checked out, it was a quick visit, in and out. In 2011 I was in a union and had some of the best insurance a union could buy, I don't ever remember getting a bill from this hospital after the visit, maybe I should have expected one but I guess I thought my insurance took care of it. Flash forward to now and I've gone back and fourth with the collection company about a payment telling them I'm not paying 3 times what the original amount for the visit was. It was a $800 bill in 2011 which I don't believe the visit was ran through my insurance, shouldn't have been that much. They tell me there is no way I didn't know about the bill because in 2015 they where garnishing my wages when I worked at a company I have never worked for. I've found all the documents posted online from this, me and another guy in my city share the same name (besides the middle name and variation in spelling) the online dockets have a different spelling also. I called the company and have a letter from their HR confirming I never worked there. They garnished the wrong person's wages... now last time I spoke to the collection group I had thought we came to an agreement that send me a bill for x amount and I'll pay the thing cause I am sick of dealing with this, but I asked them to send me the original bill from the hospital cause I still have questions about this as far as my insurance from back then and what was covered. I don't feel like the original bill was correct. 3 weeks go by and nothing in my mailbox last week the mail carrier walks in with a certified letter at my office, again small company I get handed a manilla envelope and read the name it came from and said nope, not signing this send it back. They brought it back a couple days ago and I again would not sign. We had came to a dollar amount I agreed to pay as Long as they could provide the original bill... they never sent it and chose to try to garnish my wages instead. Do I have a case to fight this in court?

Landing at LAX at 6am, but don’t pick up the rental car until 1:30pm.
Any ideas on what to do or where to go? Would love a shower but see there’s nothing available at LAX itself.

My darling mother is mad at me and my partner (who lives in the home) for not being approved for food stamps. Me and my partner make too much for stamps, even with the addition of the rent we pay, we couldnt get approved again and somehow that's my fault. She keeps trying to guilt trip me and my partner into buying fast food for everyone which adds up quick. Together me and my partner are paying roughly 1,600 dollars in rent. We are also saving for our car to be fixed (transmissions are expensive) so we get maybe 400-500 dollars each a month to put towards our car and she wants to take that money to put towards food when we cant do it. Her husband (my step dad) is a manager and makes over 5,000 a month but he apparently doesn't have money for anything and what little money he does have my mom spends on my little sister, buying her toys, outfits and video games. The rent is 3,200 so we split it, she and her husband pay 1,600 and me and my partner pay 1,600. Surely he should have enough money out of over 5,000 dollars. And no, they are not doing drugs, yes I am 100% certain. Anyways, about my car, she keeps asking when I'm going to get it fixed and that I "should have the money by now" bc their car is starting to act up so she wants to us mine. I'm not sure what to do. I want to move out but that's hard without a car and when I do eventually get my car fixed we'll have to save up for the apartment plus moving costs. We have nowhere else to stay unfortunately and we dont qualify for housing. I feel so trapped by the situation.

Spouse and I are going to Jasper &Banff this August and have everything reserved pretty much- flights- hotels, rental car- shuttle to Lake Moraine &Louise and Maligne Lake cruise. What gondola should we pick? The Jasper Skytram, Banff Gondola or Lake Louise chairlift? Leaning towards Banff gondola but would love recommendations.

I didn't get a prom. I graduated highschool 2020 so its obvious why I didn't and at the time I was fine with it. I had gone to my friend's junior prom when I was a sophomore and my other friend's senior prom as a junior and I had so much fun at both proms so when covid happened I wasn't bummed like other kids in my grade because to me it was just another dance. I've always been a tomboy too, wore suits to my friends proms because dresses felt weird for me and I was friends with a lot of guys. I was the only girl on my wrestling team and the only girl doing tech crew and thats where most of my friends in the same grade came from. I was never really one for dances anyways. I found them awkward and usually sat in a corner because I didn't enjoy the music and didn't care for many of the people there.
But my rationalization wasn't the truth. I had a blast at my friends junior and senior prom because I was with my friends and I danced with them even though I didn't like the music because the energy was amazing. I didn't go to my junior prom and maybe that's where some of the disappointment comes from. I come from a low income school district and a most of my friends in the same grade didn't have the money to go to junior prom. Tickets were like $60 or $70, pretty much all of us either didn't have our license or didn't have a car we could use. I had gotten my suit through piecing it together at a large discount clothing store so clothing wasn't really the issue it was just lack of resources and money to go there.
So started the friend pact. We all agreed to do get summer jobs or do side gigs to build up money over the summer so we could do senior prom. The group was about 7 or 8 of us going together and we also planned to save up money so for senior week we could go camping as a group. I picked up shifts at my job, babysat, coached youth wrestling, petsat, did some sound and light work offered through tech crew. By the end of summer I could have bought the $90 tickets for senior prom for the whole group and have enough to buy a prom dress I had fallen in love with that was a few hundred dollars which was huge to me. Everyone saved up. And then covid and there went prom and there went senior week and before I knew it I was off to a college I dropped out of after two years of trying.
Now I live in a house being rebuilt but close to my family and while I now work a job doing what I'm actually passionate about and making great strides to move in the direction I want to in my career, I sit here at age 21 typing this out with plans to go dress shopping with my little sister for her middle school dance, and my little brother making plans with his friends for his senior prom next year to be in coordinating outfits and I feel jealous. I'm so happy for them that they will get to have these memories and experiences and I get to be part of it. I'm taking her dress shopping, I will be sewing and making part of my brothers outfit. But I can't help but be upset about how I won't get those memories when I'm supposed to have them.
Now my some of my friends have moved away, one started a family, some are really busy with their schooling or jobs, and I watch as the ones close by post on their story that they're bored and who wants to hang but they don't respond to my texts. And I know I'm not entitled to their time, to hear from them but it stings seeing them post pictures hanging out together and I'm not part of it and I stopped reaching out when after two years of wishing all of them a happy birthday on their birthday I got nothing even when making posts and reminders about it when I didn't need it for them and conversations about things we should go do when we all get together stayed as conversations. I made good friends in college I'm still in regular contact with despite them all being in different states and friends in my job but I'm jealous I don't get a prom. I'm jealous that my last memory of all my friends being together was us making plans to watch the college wrestling championship matches and celebrate my birthday instead of it being us at prom. I'm happy my siblings won't have this experience.

I hit rock bottom 4 months ago. I went to jail and cried myself to sleep on a ham sandwich because county doesn’t allow pillows. I pissed away 40 thousand dollars, that i was going to use towards a down payment on a house, to my fines due to my dui. I lost everything. I lost my friends, my lover, my family, my car, and everything else I loved. I can’t go drive to the gym, I can’t fish, I can’t go to the beach, I can’t do anything. I realize the repercussions of my actions, hate alcohol more than anything, found god, started going to church, but started working at a brewery to come up with some extra money. I went over 100 days without alcohol. I started drinking again when i started working there. I thought my willpower could overcome anything. The alcoholism overtook me. I denied “tasting” the number one selling beer, but then one SINGULAR sip led me back. I couldn’t even smell it without needing to get wasted. I was doing so well. I haven’t gone a shift in the past month without downing at least 3 double ipas and getting drunk. Im lying to my family and my boyfriend. I’ve lost all my gym motivation. I am after the AMG CLA 35. I was going to go for the CLA 45 2023 model for the grill when I found out the 2024 model 35 and 45S would have the same grill unlike the 2023's. So I set my sites on the 2024 AMG CLA 35 model to save about $10K MSRP. I have a contact with a Mercedes Benz salesman who said he does not have the option to factory order the 2024's yet but he suspects he will soon and that I could come in and place an order for an allocation to have by January-February.

I have never factory ordered and will be factory ordering to lease. I have very good credit, I have never personally checked my "Auto" FICO, but at Audi in 2020 the FM said it pulled as an 801 and 803 Transunion and Experian, and my regular FICO on Wells Fargo shows as 798. Extensive credit history 5 previous car loans with 0 late payments (4 leases 1 purchase). I have $8k-$10K to put down if need be depending on the deal.
My question are: Having never factory ordered, how do i negotiate? haha Is it just very difficult to get a good deal on a factory order? I feel like I have less leverage, they KNOW it is the exact car I absolutely love hahah how can I respectfully go in and try to get a fair price? Also, I used 5 of the most popular lease estimators including edmunds and all 5 of them spit out to me roughly the same payment range (using the 54% residual and the money factor I found in the edmunds forums) however the Mercedes lease estimator spits out a number about $100 dollars higher than all of the others? Is that Mercedes just trying to give you a high number to have more room to come down on price and make you feel like you got a better deal when you are sitting at the dealership? I would obviously love to come out with a number closer to what the online calculators are spitting out, what is your experience with this discrepancy in general?
TL;DR How do I negotiate on a factory order, if they know I love the car because I hand picked everything lol Also, Online lease calculator are all in agreement spitting out numbers about $100 a month lower than Mercedes lease estimator. Is it possible to think i can get the lower price?

I don’t care what anyone does in the bedroom. We have people sleeping with the same gender there was a man recently who came out having sex with his car love who you love folks. We're moving between apartments, and that Sling Bag had my keys to the new appt in it, so when we circled back to the old apartment to do some cleaning and to move the last few things in there, I set it down in my room.
For some reason my mother saw my bag, scooped it up into one of the garbage bags (without telling me), and packed it into the trunk of her unlocked car where it remained unattended for 30-ish minutes after we got home. We suspect it was then that the bag was stolen.
I didn't realize I hadn't come home with it on my back until it was too late because I was busy and it wasn't where I left it.

My nearest costco is 30 minutes away. I have never used delivery services so I am clueless about how to go about it. I would like to place a costco order, likely 200 dollars without any really heavy things. To me this is a long drive and then a bunch of stuff to take out of the car....what kind of bribe...umm tip should I offer to make this a decent order to pick up. Time is not of the essence, i am hoping someone does it just to get out of the heat of the afternoon.

So I try a hard push, leaning forward enough to get it into that zone where it locks open.

So, my father passed away in 2020, three years ago.
When he passed, my stepmother never once offered anything to me. The only things I have ever received that were his was a bag of his socks(no joke) and one of his old police badges from when he worked as a police officer.
In my state (Virginia) the law states that if a parent passes away without a will(he never had one, died suddenly at 56) that the spouse gets 1/3 of the estate/assets and the kids get 2/3 to split.
My father liked to spend money and collect very expensive "toys".
Tools, Guns, Cars, Motorcycle, Clothing, etc.
I wrote it off the first year as my stepmother just being in grief and not knowing what to do. The second year, I started to think that maybe she was going to get things together and pass them out to me and my sister. Well, she got remarried in January and it's starting to look like she is not going to give me anything.
I spoke with my ten years younger sister today about it. If my stepmother still had his tools, guns, motorcycle, etc. My sister told me that my stepmother has promised her his motorcycle when she graduates college next year.
My stepmother has never once offered me anything of my dads besides those socks and the badge. I know his "assets" are worth thousands of dollars, the guns alone are worth quite a bit of money.
I am thinking about speaking to an attorney Monday morning to see what my rights are three years after his death, to see if I have any legal claim to an inheritance.
