I notice sometimes when the AC is on, my sinuses have been bothering me a bit. Today the AC was running for a while (to get down from 76 to 74 degrees it took maybe about an hour) and I noticed my eyes and throat were stinging a bit too. When I Googled it, I saw that the physical symptoms I was having could be caused by a freon leak, although it sounds like the time it took to cool the house (1000 sq feet) doesn't seem abnormal.
I looked by the inside portion of the furnace/ ac blower (where the evaporator coils are) and there wasn't any moisture that I could see (although last year we had some water in the crawl space sort of under the furnace area, but I thought that might have been due to a sink issue we had had previously).
I was reading that it can cost between $100-$300 for a freon leak test, but I don't mind paying if that's what it might be and it could be affecting my health. I just wanted to see if that seems like a probable cause, or if it could be something else before I pay for somebody to come out. And if I should stop using the AC until we can get somebody to come out.

I also noticed there are leak detectors online for around $20, and I was wondering if those work at all - or if I'm better off just calling a professional if there's any doubt.

Background:
The Maryland Port Authority has to constantly dredge the Baltimore Harbor, shipping terminals, and shipping channels to keep them open. Much of the dredge removed from the Baltimore harbor and Patapsco River near old industrial sites is contaminated with heavy metals, oils, and other toxic "forever" chemicals. The Maryland Port Authority (MPA) has to dry and store this dredged material in special "containment sites" because it is unsafe for human exposure. (See https://maryland-dmmp.com/). Before the 1970s, this material was often dumped back into the Chesapeake Bay. After ecological awareness arose in the 1970s and dumping was regulated, MPA was forced to create diked land-based dredge containment facilities to dry and store dredged material.
These sites, once created, are forever contaminated. MPA has done its best to create these sites where they make the least impact - often in already-contaminated abandoned industrial areas. MPA also creates conservation areas to make amends for the harm, makes clean dredge available for shoreline restorations and construction projects, makes contaminated dredge available for re-use research, and in some cases recreates islands lost to erosion (Hart-Miller Island, Poplar Island, and James and Barren Islands) using dredged material.
After significant pushback from communities near Hart-Miller Island for decades and years of litigation, MPA shut down the Hart-Miller dredge containment facility before its completion and shifted their attention to creating dredge containment sites near Baltimore in already-contaminated industrial areas next to Fort Armistead (Cox Creek DMCF) in Anne Arundel County and in Masonville next to Brooklyn. Ongoing dredging activities and plans to fill these sites to heights of 60 feet or higher with contaminated dredge and their runoff are already a significant concern for the quality of the water and the aquatic life in the Patapsco and its tidal tributaries. A potentially even greater concern is that because MPA is running out of land-based locations to contain contaminated dredge, it now plans to create Confined Aquatic Dredge (CAD) sites in the seabed of the Patapsco River to essentially bury contaminated dredge underwater in the sea floor. The first MPA full scale CAD site is planned to be built one mile off the shore of the communities of Stoney Beach and Riviera Beach near the entrance to Stoney Creek.
The planned Patapsco CAD site will be up to 220 acres in size. MPA plans to remove clean seabed material from the site for several months and make it available to construction companies and for shoreline restoration efforts and then replace it with contaminated dredge material for several more months sometime in the next year. MPA asserts that unlike historic dredge dumping, this CAD site will be "capped" and "safe". However, there will inevitably be a significant release of contaminants and turbidity into the Patapsco from this activity and permanent impact within and near the CAD site. Contaminated dredge material suspended in water can't be totally contained. Moreover, long-term ecological impacts from leaching and seabed shifting can't be predicted.
Concerns:
Northern Anne Arundel communities near the planned CAD site are very concerned about several potential issues related to its creation:
  1. The noise from planned 24/7 dredging for several months at a time as well as spotlighting at night since this will be over a mile closer to Stoney Beach and Riviera Beach than the shipping channel.
  2. The safety of residents in nearby waters to swim, fish, and engage in watersports on the Patapsco and in Stoney Creek, Cox Creek, and downstream tributaries during and after dredging from exposure to chemical and biological toxins released into the water.
  3. The impact of such dredging on aquatic life and ecosystems including waterfowl that depend on it.
  4. The long-term ecological impact on the CAD site, nearby shorelines, and the tidal waters around it.
  5. The potential short and long-term geographical extent of ecological and human exposure to released toxins given unpredictable winds, currents, storms, tidal swings, and sea level rise.
We have questions related to these concerns and would like a greater understanding of how impacts will be measured and mitigated and what the potential risks to our communities might be - including being exposed to chemical and biological toxins. Of particular concern if this program moves forward is how will toxins be measured, where will they be measured, how will communities be notified if toxins in the water around their shoreline reaches harmful levels, and what might the long-term effects of such toxins be that might settle around our shorelines?
While we are concerned, we also appreciate that MPA is creating conservation sites such as the Swan Creek Wetlands next to the Cox Creek facility and making clean dredge material available at little or no cost to communities engaged in shoreline restoration efforts - including Stoney Beach which is planning an important natural shoreline project to protect a highly eroded natural area at our point where the Patapsco meets Stoney Creek. This greatly reduces the cost of shoreline restoration.

I've got a zone with pressure issues, so I'm assuming I've got a pipe issue somewhere. I also replaced a broken saddle valve last year, so I assume there could be others. The system is about 20 years old.
I've seen the fancy heartbeat sensors for tracing pipes and finding leaks, but I doubt any of the contractors I've dealt with would have such a toy. How about running a wire down the pipe from the manifold and using a metal detector? I've had limited success with the metal detector finding the swing pipes.

2023.06.04 06:16 No-Government-5361 Paranormal experiences in a new house

We purchased this house that was built in the 1920's its pretty charming on the outside and its technically 3 stories. Most of the experiences have happened in the basement where my girlfriend and I stay at but aren't limited to that area. The basement is essentially its own apartment, it has a bedroom with two walk-in closets, a laundry room, a kitchen, a bathroom, a wine cellar, a maintenance room, and a living room area. When me and my girlfriend first moved in with her mother we had the basement to ourselves. (Keep the living in your moms basement jokes to yourselves, we own the house too 😂)
Anyway first night of moving in we both had night terrors of an old frail lady in white walking around in front of the bed. We were creeped out but just figured it was nothing. Few nights later we were getting more stuff unpacked and organized in one of the walk in closets and we both heard whispers right next to our ears. My girlfriend ignored it but right after I said "did you just hear that" and repeated the whisper sound. She got freaked out because she heard that noise exactly.
Fast forward to maybe a month or two in, we heard shuffling upstairs almost like someone walking around with slippers. Her mom wasn't home so figured someone maybe broke in, (honestly this house is old and likely an easy target for a break in) but hadn't triggered the alarms or glass break detectors. I grabbed my Glock 19 and checked upstairs and when I got to the stairs that lead to the third floor I could hear the shuffling right next to me. The shuffling was going up the stairs and eventually stopped when it got to the top. After this the same thing happened again the following day.
At this point I'm pretty confident this house is haunted, my girlfriend and I can feel it. We tried researching the previous owners but really couldnt find much but maybe I just haven't searched well enough.
Fast forward to the next encounter, me and my girlfriend were doing dry fire training in my living room late at night on a weekend my girlfriend's mom was out of town. (My girlfriends mom leaves every other weekend to go hang out with her boyfriend and he comes over on the weekends that she doesn't visit him.) I'm a stickler for firearms saftey, I triple check every firearm to ensure its unloaded as well as the magazines before I train and I make sure to leave ammunition in another room while I'm doing my dry fire. So we are practicing draw stroke, proper presentation, getting to the wall, target transitions, and tactical/emergency reloads and my girlfriend hears someone whisper "be careful" next to her ear while she's timing me. I didn't hear anything so when she told me what she heard, I grabbed her and went to the room to load my firearm. I got freaked out when she told me because my first thought when she told me that was somones breaking into my house and is whispering to their buddy to be careful. (Keep in mind its 1am or 2am me and my girlfriend were on a nocturnal schedule for the weekend so we can get more time under nods.) Anyway she explains it was next to her ear and not coming from outside or anything and I calmed down.
Next encounter I had was by myself when I was getting ready to do the dishes. I had my ear buds in and they have the ambient noise feature where you can still hear with them in. I heard a deep breath in my ear. It made me jump and I turned around thinking it was my girlfriend trying to mess with me or something but there was nothing there. I wasn't listening to music when it happened either so have no idea what it was.
The last encounter we had was when my girlfriend and I were hanging out upstairs with her mom and boyfriend. We were just listening to music and having a couple drinks and I grabbed a glass of water and sat it down on a small table to my left. The glass knocked over on its own and we all watched it happen. Firstly it tipped over towards the table not off the table, I got up and tried jumping and stomping near the table to get it to wobble and nothing, I tried to tip the glass over by bumping it and it wobbled but didn't fall. I tried hitting the table with my knee or elbow but nothing. When the glass fell on its own it just knocked over it, didn't wobble first or anything. Everyone saw it happen and nobody saw me bump it or anything and I didn't feel myself bump into it either.
To my knowledge thats all thats happened so far, we kept trying to tell my girlfriends mom about the weird stuff thats happened but she wrote it all off until the night the glass tipped over on its own. Its possible she's had experiences but if thats the case she hasn't told us about any. Maybe these experiences are nothing maybe they are I have no idea. I do plan to try and capture evidence by setting up cameras inside so if I capture anything I will post it here.

2023.06.04 04:10 peterflys Advice on Replacing Old Ademco/Honeywell Security System (residential, 12 zones)

Hello everyone, thank you all so much in advance for your help.
I recently purchased a home that has a bit of a unique situation with its security system so I'm in a predicament and could definitely use your help.
The home was built in the 60s, but had an Ademco 4140 installed circa 1989 with quite a few wired sensors installed. From what I can see just by looking around my house, it looks like there are 5 window sensors and two door sensors that appear to be "wired up".
There were more sensors, but various windows and doors were replaced over time and the sensors were stripped out. But it looks to me like two of the three doors have wired sensors on them, and five windows have window sensors. There is also a huge siren horn in my attic that is wired up to a siren card in the 4140 panel.
But something I think a little odd happened. A few years ago, some contractor came in and basically cut the power to the 4140 motherboard and replaced the Ademco keypad with a Honeywell wireless system, I think a Lynx 3000 or something similar. I thought this very strange, why cut off all that infrastructure installed? Plus, for those two doors I noted above have wired sensors attached to them? When the contractor "upgraded" this system, they tacked on new wireless sensors. Strange.
Anyway, a second wireless system basically got tacked on top of the wired one, the wired one was basically shut off, but the wireless system was much, much more stripped down. That system basically has only three door sensors, one motion sensor, and one fire detector.
The problem is, over time, since the Lynx was installed, most of the wireless sensors have broken. Proximity sensor doesn't work, and two of the three door sensors lost either the sensor or the magnet. Fire detector has a dead battery. The way the Lynx system currently is, only one door sensor actually works, nothing else on the Lynx works.

I would like to DIY my security system upgrade. The question is what should I do?
Options 2 and 3 seem like I would be basically wasting the wired infrastructure already in the house. Option 3 also seems like it wouldn't add much value to the house. I think a mainstream system would be more valuable with regard to the resale of the house.
But option 1 seems a little daunting and most likely the most expensive option because (i) I would still need some wireless capability so I wouldn't "just" be buying a 20p, and (ii) I would be reactivating sensors that are 35 years old and haven't been used in 15 years. Will they work? If they don't work, the 20p motherboard would be a huge waste because I don't have the time or $$ to push new 22 AWG through my house. I won't be able to do that. But the multimeter tests should help to determine if they work.
I want to DYI the install. I will probably work with a no-contract monitoring company once I get everything going, but my goal here is to be in complete control of the hardware and the equipment. I know generally what I'm doing, I know how low voltage works mechanically, but I'm not an expert. It will take time. Lastly, regardless, I would like to minimize any drilling/drywall cutting. I would really need to use the wiring already in place if I get a new 20p or equivalent motherboard.
Another interesting thing: the 4140 motherboard shows that there were wires for two keypads leading into it: one in the family room, one in the master bed. Both of these keypads are gone. I would love a new keypad in the master bed (currently the Lynx is in the family room and is the only keypad in the house) along with the one in the family room. But I'd need the master bed one to be wireless. There aren't any wireless keypads that communicate with the 15p or 20p, are there?

I recently adopted an 8 week old puppy, and he's a very vocal dog in and out of the crate. It has been a week since then and I have attempted to make the crate a positive thing but he still will bark for around a half hour till he wears himself out and falls asleep. After he goes to the bathroom, I play with him till he starts falling asleep then cox him into his crate then close the gate. Then he'll go nuts barking/winning and chewing on the crate (its a completely wire cate so he can chew on all of it) and his mat that's in there. I've tried putting a blanket over top which does help him stop barking faster, but once removing it he goes nuts again so I end up leaving it off all the time. I've also have tried putting on movies on low volume so it's not a quiet, empty feeling house. Once he wears himself out he'll sleep till he needs to go to the bathroom then he'll wake up and then repeat the cycle. I'm always in the room when he's in his crate, so he doesn't bark before I open the gate (except at night) as he sees me coming over. He also has toys (his favorite stuffy, a bone, and a rope toy) in there, as well as a blanket from his foster home. He also gets fed inside his crate 3 times a day (6am, 12pm, 6pm). And if he's awake and not barking inside his crate, he gets treats. I do NOT use the crate for punishment either, so I have made the crate a fairly positive thing in his life. I'm assuming he just wants attention cuz even outside his crate he'll bark at me if he feels I'm not giving him enough attention (I do NOT reward this behavior, I ignore his cries and nips until he stops, then I'll give him attention). He follows me around the house when he's outside his crate (he is already crate trained and I have a "house" leash that when he's outside his crate he always wears so I have access to him easily all the time). If he lags behind me and I close a door before he can get in, he'll go nuts till he can reach me again. If I'm sitting on any chair, he wants to be in my lap, if he can't have that after barking at me for it, he'll lay on my feet or sit in-between/under my legs. If I'm standing still for "too long" (30 seconds+) he'll sit in front of me staring at me, then start barking if I don't reach down and pet him or pick him up. When he barks for what he wants, I ignore it. But it really is driving me insane breaking his habits of this. He IS getting better about it, but still a very vocal dog (only vocal to me though, I've already started socializing him with our neighbors and their dogs, as I play fetch with him outside and my community sits outside talking, he gets very quiet and calm around them, always sitting between my legs never making a sound or moving. He'll smell the other dogs but then come back to me almost immediately). He also picks up tricks very quickly and no longer needs treats for the ones he has been taught, and loves when I give him puzzle toys, but training him to not bark is a constant battle. Some times it's non existent and other times it's 24/7. Is there anything I can do to get him to quit barking or something I'm doing wrong that ends up motivating his barking? This is the youngest dog I've owned before (as usually I get a year or two old dog) and a different breed then what I've grown up with (the foster parents believed his mom is boxer and that the dad is dalmatian due to him being all white and only now starting to get black spots. The mom looked max half boxer. But my vet believes a chance to be a cur or hound instead of dalmatian), so I'm unsure if this is honestly normal for these types of dogs. I know he's going to be a bigger dog, so I really want the barking to be cut off before then. My parents have told me to use spray bottles and just to dominate him (putting him on the ground) but that seems cruel and am trying to shy away from it. If anyone can tell me if I'm doing something wrong or something else I could try, very appreciative to know.

I was flying back from Warsaw. I did have a business class ticket, but still. Anyway, I went to a priority security line with very basic metal detector security and like two people in front of me. No stress. Passport control was easy with no line. Customs was like a 15 minute line in the US, but he just looked at my passport and that was it. This is what I'd consider a reasonable amount of security, and I don't remember ever having this easy of a time.
I once had a flight back from a layover in Hamburg, and boy was I ticked off from this experience. After going through your typical US style security.. Shoes off.. pose in front of that ridiculous machine, light pat down.. whatever.... at the gate there was an even WORSE security. And for this it didn't matter where you were sitting on the plane. Only crew were exempt. They THOROUGHLY patted us down, and any bags we brought on the plane were emptied and searched intensely. I was really annoyed.
So my impression from this was the Poles are cool and the Germans suck considering one was my best airport experience ever, and the other I got on the plane infuriated. Ironic that they can treat me that way too considering I'm Jewish. As if they didn't do enough to us already!!

My dad died in April. He was poor, lived in subsidized tribal housing prior to moving to a VA nursing home in early January. He received $1930/month in SSA. He was always financially responsible but in February we identified he was going to die within the year and stopped spending what money he had left on his medical bills - the nursing home was taking 85% of his income. I had his mail sent to my house and he’s approximately -$25k in medical debt to various facilities just in 2023. He used a variety of VA, tribal and Medicare part A benefits.
Anyway, I’m sure none of that matters. I got a letter from a law office asking to speak to the Executor to pay debts the estate owes. I suppose that’s me, but I haven’t filed anything with the courts. I received a $5k life insurance benefit, no questions asked. SSA sent me a letter stating he had money due to him, either SSA or Medicare premiums, so I filled out the form they sent. I know he has a bank account. They have been thoroughly awful through all of this and literally refused to communicate with me. In March I took a whole day off to drive to this credit union, provide my POA and get added to his bank account. They responded to my request a week after he died. I did get his statement and there’s about $11 in his checking account (going down $2 each month) and I think he has $1000 in his savings. I don’t really care to take another day of PTO to deal with this, so I let it be.
I’m not really sure how estate stuff works. No one can really tell me. It seems like a lawyer wouldn’t really be worth the money, but please feel free to tell me otherwise. Once I got his death certificate, I closed his ATT and Cox accounts and mailed copies to his debtors, but I am still getting bills in the mail for him. Can I just tell the law office to get in contact with the credit union and have at it? He had no other assets. We sold his car before he died.

Rules: 1.There is only 1 door in the pizzaria. 2.The motion detectors will tell you where the animatronics are. Ther are no cameras. 3. The security guard must hold the door while closed. If not, even if the door is closed the animatronic can open it. (Kinda like Fnaf 3) 4. There can be 1-2 animatronics. And there is 5 nights.
Times: 1. One timer is for the door closing. The player can only close the door for 30 seconds. 2. The door has a cooldown time for 30 seconds. The player cannot close the door while it's on cooldown. 3. There is a power countdown. Whenever you close the door, the timer will start. Its 4.30 minutes. 4. Every night is 8.55 minutes. The security guard must survive.
Lore: A year ago a they planned for a new pizzaria . It was going to be the NEW area for pizzarias. Hi there,
Sorry about the title "Do I have a serious problem on my hands" was my question.
I am not very knowledgeable about electrical and am trying to understand what has been going on in my home and am a bit concerned about my electrical being a potential fire hazard. Any insight is much appreciated.
There are over 10 receptacles/switches on each 15 amp circuit, which I think may be overloading the circuit. When a circuit overloads, the breaker doesn't trip, the entire circuit just stops receiving power; there are switches and outlets all on each circuit, so when one fails the power to all of them stops and a lot of diagnostic has to take place to find the problem outlet or switch. The other day, everything on a 15 amp circuit stopped receiving power (circuit has: kitchen pot lights x 3; kitchen accent lights x 3; basement stair lights x 2; bathroom light x 1 + 1 fan; 1 x living room outlet) only the kitchen pot and accent lights were being used at the time (and a charger with nothing plugged in was in the outlet) the breaker did not trip, (I did not think the outlet was in the circuit as it already had ten switches on a 15 amp circuit) when my daughter plugged the tablet into the charger that was already plugged into the outlet, all the lights came back on and the circuit began working again?
I had an outlet blow (smoke and burn marks on the outlet) when the vacuum was being run in the upstairs hall while two other sets of lights were on. This caused all the outlets and lights after that outlet to stop receiving power, but again the breaker did not trip. The outlet being replaced fixed the circuit, and I no longer use that outlet to vacuum.
I dont know if related, but I have to replace at least 2 switches per year, which I have gathered from talking to others, is not normal switch wear and tear (my house is 15 years old and maybe has 40 switches total).
I have experinced flickering and dimming of lights pretty regularly, especailly upstairs, and also my chime began loudly buzzing one day and the entire house started smelling very strongly like burning plastic, I turned it off at the breaker; had I not been home, I worry that my house probably would have burned down.
The smoke detectors were also never wired in for power, and neither was the thermostat. The detectors have the wiring to the area, but were never wired in, which is a pain as my upstairs ceiling is 15 feet/vaulted, and the detector is very hard to reach over the stair. The thermostat is also only a 3 wire and uses batteries; not improper, but is this because the circuits are already highly used?
The four-way switch in my upstairs hall was either improperly installed or has failed (3 switches for one light). When one switch is on, it disables the other 2 switches.
I am wondering if these are the kinds of problems that lead to fires? What can I do to remedy this?

DLC Setting: Halcyon has founded a new organization called The Plasma Sea Empire. Jackdaw is planning on finding operatives to help, and taking down The Plasma Sea Empire to set back Halcyon.

DLC Plan: Jackdaw decides to seek for help in hopes of infiltrating, and destroying The Plasma Sea Empire. Jackdaw hopes by taking out The Plasma Sea Empire will cause Halcyon to finally surrender, and collapse.

The Prison:
The Plan: You are tasked with finding a former Phoenix Operative named Haze who has some information on The Plasma Sea Empire.

Plan A: Step 1: Infiltrate the prison by rewiring its security system. Step 2: Find the cell block. Step 3: Find Haze. Step 4: Find, and interrogate the Warden to get the authorization code. Step 5: Enter the authorization code into the control panel. Step 6: Escape with Haze.

Plan B: Get the Explosive Charge. Step 2: Attach it to the gate, and detonate it. Step 3: Find the Cell Block. Step 4: Find Haze. Step 5: Wait for Haze to deactivate the lockdown protocols. Step 6: Hotwire the Police Helicopter. Step 7: Escape with Haze.

"Be careful Kid there's no room for error today. You will have to get this operative out, so we can get our intel on this new organization."

The Yacht:
The Plan: You are tasked with infiltrating a Yacht seen far out in the ocean. You have to Eliminate, or evacuate 2 enemies for us.

Plan A: Step 1: Take out a guard on the outside of the yacht. Step 2: Grab the disguise from the guard. Step 3: Get inside the yacht, and search the server room. Step 4: Take out the captain, and take his disguise. Step 5: Meet with Daniel Techno. Step 6: Extract or Eliminate Daniel Techno. Step 7: Escape.

Plan B: Step 1: Find the Panic Room. Step 2: Find a way to get it open. Step 3: Eliminate Daniel Techno. Step 4: Try to Hack into the Servers. Step 5: Shutdown, and take the servers onto the boat. Step 6: Escape.

"From the intel from Haze we have discovered someone very important to The Director of this new organization. Let's pay his son a little visit shall we?"

The Jet:
The Plan: From the intel we gathered we have sent you to get on a Private Jet belonging to The Director of The Plasma Sea Empire. You are tasked with infiltrating the ship, and take out a key figure to The Plasma Sea Empire.

Plan A: Step 1: Find a way inside The Captain's Quarters. Step 2: Take the Captain hostage, and interrogate him. Step 3: Knock out the Captain, and take his disguise. Step 4: Head to the front of the Jet. Step 5: Change the coordinates of the Jet's destination. Step 6: Grab a parachute. Step 7: Escape before the guards notice the changed coordinates.

Plan B: Step 1: Run to the Front of the Jet. Step 2: Find the current coordinates of the ship. Step 3: Send the location to Sparrow. Step 4: Wait for Sparrow to arrive. Step 5: Take out The Captain. Step 6: Plant explosives onto the Jet. Step 6: Get into the helicopter before the Jet blows up.

"Good luck Kiddo. There's no room for error to happen today."

The Facility:
(Loud Only)
The Plan: You have to plant explosives inside The Facility to stop The Plasma Sea Empire's operations. However since we cannot disable the motion triggers the alarm will immediately activate once you enter.

Plan A: Step 1: Head to the armory. Step 2: Take all of the explosives inside the Armory. Step 3: Plant all of the explosives inside the Facility. Step 4: Head to the Control Room. Step 5: Hack into the server, and give access to the servers for Phoenix to search. Step 6: Wait for the Hack to finish. Step 7: Head back to the elevator, and Escape before the Facility explodes.

"Hope you brought some good equipment with you. You're gonna need it."

The Mines:
(Stealth Only)
The Plan: Head inside The Mines and eliminate the Miners to stop them from constructing their new Facility. However if they spot you they will tell their Commander to activate explosives inside the Facility causing it to explode.

Plan A: Step 1: Head into the mines. Step 2: Take the disguise of a Demolition Team Member. Step 3: Disable the metal detectors at the Outpost entrance. Step 4: Head to the Control Room. Step 5: Take out everyone inside the Control Room. Step 6: Hack the servers. Step 7: Take out every worker. Step 8: Escape.

Armageddon:
The Plan: You have to go inside The Plasma Sea Empire’s main base of operations. From doing this we can finally put an end to Halcyon once, and for all. You will have to take out the Director Nova Techno, so we can finally take this organization down.
Plan A: Step 1: Head inside the Base. Step 2: Find the Break Room. Step 3: Get the Commander's Keycard. Step 4: Head inside of the Commander's Quarters. Step 5: Take the Commander Hostage, and interrogate him. Step 6: Knock him out, and disguise as him. Step 7: Meet with Nova Techno. Step 8: Eliminate or Capture Nova Techno. Step 7: Escape.
Plan B: Step 1: Wait for Haze to hack the Lockdown Protocols. Step 2: Head inside, and take out the commander. Step 3: Head to Nova Techno's Panic Room. Step 4: Take out Nova Techno. Step 5: Wait for Sparrow to arrive in her helicopter. Step 6: Plant bombs all over the base. Step 7: Escape before the base explodes.

"We only got one try to do this. Do it right, and make Phoenix proud."

The Ending: You ride on the helicopter in the air with Sparrow as you, and Nova Techno watch as the base explodes. Nova Techno will be in the cutscene or not depending on how you did the mission. As you ride back to the phoenix base. Haze then sits there with you watching too. As you and Haze talk, you decide to head back home. Now the Freelancer can finally retire for good this time, and have a peaceful life again.
