2023.03.25 05:14 GeneralUri10 what's the counterplay to my teammates dying to widow as support?
my job as support is fine/fun sometimes because even if my teammates make a mistake, my job as support is to help them and patch them up. nobody's perfect so its fine if they take some damage here and there or if they need help in other ways.
but when my team just gets instantly deleted from full hp to nothing in an instant, even if I'm playing cover as support, I understand my dps a lot of the time cant. but, I can't heal an instant head shot the microsecond they peak out of cover to play the game. and then it's frustrating for me because I can't even play the game either because instead of supporting/healing I'm just watching my teammates respawn with no counter play. at least with other things a well timed suzu or burst healing can save a teammate if I realize they are taking a lot of damage. but with widow, I literally cant heal an instant headshot. it just feels like I can't do anything when my team dies to widow instantly.
now granted, I play brig mostly so of course she's not good against widow in that regard, but I feel like supports are best supporting their team and the risk they take trying to peak to challenge widow just isn't worth it, especially since dps would be better off challenging widow. either I go lucio and my team doesn't have speed boost/healing or I go Baptiste/kiriko and risk peaking/challenging her

2023.03.25 05:13 kbxads Castle in El Salvadorado
The Bitcoin City in sunny El Salvador will be the prequel to the real Bitcoin City moon base. This is an excellent exercise in writing and imagination. It's fun to mull about your second favorite dream, the first being settling in Moscow. Inevitably, Russia will make BTC THE legal tender and start demanding BTC only for Oil/Gas/Grain/Neon, etc. But till then, or even alongside, settling on Bitcoin Beach would be akin to heaven too.
I have not yet moved to ES but I have thought about it countless times. The 3 BTC limit earlier (which must be like 5 BTC right now) is something that many people can afford, not just the 1%. Maybe 20% of people in the world can do this if they really want. $100k is not that big of an amount. Even poor people in India have houses that cost this much. I'm solo mining and maybe I will hit 6.15 BTC if the fates are kind, or maybe I will get enough fiat to buy enough to move to ES and live a good life.
I suppose moving will not be ridden with bureaucracy like in the usual 'western' countries. And everything, the basic necessities, like water, electricity, internet, roads, cleanliness, hospitals and schools will be available. One thing that scares people about ES is MS13 and other Hispanic gangs, and El Presidente is taking tough actions against this only negative of ES. So everything seems to be in order.
You just take a toothbrush and memorize your seed phrase, buy a one-way ticket to ES and that's it. You reach, invest 3-5 BTC in a local business that employs at least 3-5 people and buy whatever is affordable in Bitcoin City or Bitcoin Beach or anywhere you like in ES.
With Bitcoin, even If another El Presidente wanted to devalue the currency and steal the people's resources (like the Roman Emperors after Ceaser started doing), it won't be possible. Hopefully, no price fixing beyond the essentials would be done. Nothing could possibly go wrong, other than the big bully next door. But with a defense pact with either Russia and/or China, that problem can be taken care of.
From the pictures I have seen, Bitcoin Beach looks just like Goa, it is even on the same latitude. There are water bodies, lakes rivers, highlands, plains, and a vast coastline, it's perfect. A huge highway can be built on the coastal plains from ES to Oaxaca and this could be the neo-riviera of the world. The possibilities are endless.
Bitcoin City can be the model for future global city-states. As it is, people the world over are congregating in cities so much so that certain cities have more power than the entire states they are in. It must have electric vehicles. It should not be over-capitalistic and combine the best of capitalism and communism in a fine balance. Essential industries, defense, space research, hospital, and schools must be state-owned. Specialized sectors can be private. It must be a utopia. A Bitopia.
It is a blank slate on which things can be built in a planned way. All other big cities in the world suffer from centuries of mismanaged haphazard development. It is a chance for a new life, away from the woke culture and political oppression, it is the new New World. El Presidente has a big task on his hand - how to correctly build the promised land. More power to him.
It must make cannabis legal, the drug problem will automatically get solved. Those who want to destroy their minds and bodies with chemical drugs should be allowed to do so in a secure facility away from the population on some mountain. Give them as much as they want and let them remove themselves from humanity.
It must be a beacon of hope for the intelligent people of the world, but most of all, it must be a beacon of hope for the impoverished people of South America. No longer should they need to go wash dishes in a fast food restaurant in racist USA. They are a proud people of ancient civilizations, where is all their Aztec gold? Who took it? No matter, Bitcoin is the new gold, and if all goes well, ES will be swimming in bitcoins.
And it can change Bitcoin mining forever too if a fund of 100 billion dollars can be created, to give to a manufacturer who will build and distribute 1 billion home miners of bitcoin, which gives a capacity 10 times the total mining power in the world right now and completely changes the bitcoin game. A box powered in almost every urban home of the world. A small electricity bill is added which is the cost of a few bulbs. ES will need to plot out a parcel of land called The Bitcoin Country which will be land sold by Govt. to a billionaire/fund/crowdfund. That country will be built with only bitcoin businesses, no chemical food grown by farmers, no GMO, no pharma, only mushrooms weed ayrurved shamans, etc. and only natural Healthcare, with fruits vegetables poultry fishing also grown there itself a self-sufficient bitcoin Country of a million people, like The Island 2.0.
Basically, 100 billion will be the cost of a factory, workers, technicians, chips raw material, and courier of 1 billion USB devices and hubs. So if a person who can do that, deliver that, other than 100 billion dollars, what else could such a person want? Imagine if Elon Mush does this instead of buying Twitter and basically changing the world economic system within 6 months. How many billionaires are there in the world? There are 56 million millionaires. There will be 1 million plots of land for sale in bitcoin, and whoever scores a bitcoin block, which is a lottery that happens every 10 minutes, gets a free plot of land too. Since this network of solo home miners outpaces the power of everyone else 10 to 1, every 9 out of 10 bitcoins every 10 minutes will be owned by one of these homes. That means even at the current discount prices they are worth over 150k dollars instantly and can afford the high cost of land in a financially sovereign country which will be costly for companies and businesses Whoever does this will actually spend nothing and in fact, the Box factory will make huge profits as people will buy 2 more on top of the 1 free box they get to multiply their monthly income which will be used for paying for internet, shopping, TV Netflix, Amazon, etc. Basically making all monthly payments free for people for like the cost-of-a-good-dinner extra electricity bill every month. If 1 single company tried to pay for this much power for a big facility in one place, it would be a very huge number and the electricity will be too costly. But when distributed across the globe in every urban home, it will actually stabilize the electricity grid and create a new power to digital money network, something like what Nikola Tesla imagined.
When the world is suffering from an energy crisis, ES has rightly chosen to harness limitless clean natural high-intensity Volcanic Energy. It beats everything else including nuclear if the right harnessing technology is applied. South America is a vast untapped resource, an ancient land that had ancient civilizations predating even the Indian and Chinese civilizations. And the neighborhood has had some good immigrants since WW2, let's not forget, unlike the USA which got the English and the French. It may soon turn out that Mexico will indeed build the wall and Americans will pay for it.

2023.03.25 05:13 livelifereal IPL 2023 Season Preview Part 4: Sunrisers Hyderabad
| This 10-part series strives to be cricket's build-up to IPL 2023. The idea is to provide meticulous, team-wise previews that include every essential detail a fan needs to have. Delhi CapitalsChennai Super KingsMumbai IndiansSunrisers HyderabadRoyal Challengers BangalorePunjab KingsRajasthan RoyalsLucknow Super GiantsKolkata Knight RidersGujarat Titans - (These links will be updated as every subsequent part is published) Sunrisers Hyderabad Owners: SUN TV Network Home Ground: Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad Captain: Aiden Makram Coaching Staff: (only major names) Name | Role | Brain Lara | Head Coach | Simon Hemlot | Assistant Coach | Muthiah Muralitharan | Spin bowling and Strategic Coach | Dale Steyn | Fast Bowling Coach | Ryan Cook | Fielding Coach | Hemang Badani | Batting Coach and Scout | Recap of 2022 Finishing Position: 8th Played: 14, Won: 6, Lost: 8 2022 was a topsy-turvy ride for SRH, to say the least, and it began way before the actual tournament started. They were so gung-ho about building a team around Captain Williamson that they eventually let go off Rashid Khan: one of the best T20 players in the world. Then they allegedly ignored their pre-auction plans at the time of actual bidding. In the tournament, they started with two embarrassing losses but went on to win the next 5 matches convincingly. Next, they were delivered a finisher by Rashid Khan which kickstarted a 5-match losing streak. Though his picks (Abhishek, Markram, Tripathi) did well, Williamson himself struggled for form the entire season weighing the team down. | | | Top Run Getter | Abhishek Sharma | 426 runs | Top Wicket Taker | Umran Malik | 22 wickets | Preface to 2023 To Hyderabad fans, the upcoming season feels like a new sunrise. After five consecutive seasons of playoffs finish, the last two years felt like a nightmare to them. This time though, the chatter in the build up to the tournament is not of mismanagement, but of new beginnings. While it is - in many ways - a new look team altogether, there are three protagonists that are being talked about the most. First is Aiden Markram: the new captain who recently led SRH's sister team to triumph in the SA20. Second is the West Indies all time great Brain Lara: team's head coach this year and the mastermind under whose direction the new look side was assembled. Third is the much talked about English prodigy Harry Brook: for whom SRH broke a bank at the auctions. Them supported by a plethora of fresh domestic faces give the Orange Army TM the hopes of sunshine this season. - Jersey/Kit for the Season
Enthusiasts of cricket fashion breathed a collective sigh of relief as they saw that SRH are reverting to black trousers and won't be wearing the eyesore of orange pants they wore last year. Mayank Agarwal, Umran Malik and Washington Sundar sporting the new jersey Having said that, the word on the street is that their training jersey looks better than their playing kit. These two are also probably talking about how good this training shirt looks Abhishek Sharma during a training session The Orange Army TM kicks off their season with an afternoon game against RR on Sunday, April 2nd. They play RR, MI, KKR, DC and LSG twice this season. Their only games against GT and CSK are away matches, while their only fixtures against the two "red and gold" teams - PBKS and RCB - are home games. SRH's complete fixtures - Expected Conditions at Home Ground
The Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket stadium has always given memorable matches. From Sachin's 175 while chasing 350 against Australia in an ODI to Kohli giving it back to poor Kesrick Williams. From IPL's best bowling figures ever (Alzarri Joseph's 6-12) to the famous MI vs CSK final in 2019. This ground has a knack of producing memorable moments. Though, conditions very much depends on what kind of wicket is offered on a given day, generally you'd find batting belters here. The pitches do tend to slow down towards the back of the season assisting a little bit spin. In the 7 home games SRH played here in 2019, they breached 200 three times. Funny enough, that's the same number of times teams were skittled out for a sub 120 score here that season. Team for IPL 2023 - Updates regarding injuries/unavailabilities
Player Name | Likely Period of Absence | Reason | Replacements Announced | Aiden Markram | First Match | Centrally Contracted SA player; likely to be picked for Netherlands ODIs | None | Mayank Markande | Not Known | Finger Injury; missed the Irani Cup due to it | None | Marco Jansen | First Match | Centrally Contracted SA player; likely to be picked for Netherlands ODIs | None | T Natarajan | Not Known | Has been out of action since October 2022 due to injury | None | Heinrich Klassen | First Match | Centrally Contracted SA player; likely to be picked for Netherlands ODIs | None | Note: Replacements can only be announced for players who will be missing the entire season. Aiden Markram✈️ (captain), Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mayank Agarwal, Washington Sundar, Rahul Tripathi, Harry Brook✈️, Umran Malik, Heinrich Klaasen✈️, Anmolpreet Singh, Adil Rashid✈️, Akeal Hosein✈️, Upendra Yadav, Sanvir Singh, Samarth Vyas, Vivrant Sharma, Mayank Markande, Abdul Samad, Glenn Phillips✈️, Abhishek Sharma, Marco Jansen✈️, Fazalhaq Farooqi✈️, Kartik Tyagi, T Natarajan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Mayank Dagar. Likely First Choice XI: 1. Abhishek Sharma 2. Mayank Agrawal 3. Rahul Tripathi 4. Aiden Markram✈️ (c) 5. Harry Brook✈️ 6. Heinrich Klassen✈️ (wk) 7.Washington Sundar 8. Adil Rashid✈️ 9. Bhuvneshwar Kumar 10. Umran Malik 11. Kartik Tyagi/T Natarajan IP Options: Sanvir Singh, Abdul Samad, Vivrant Sharma( Note: Impact player cannot be an overseas player if there are already 4 overseas players in the playing XI) (i) A well-balanced squad: On paper, SRH seem to have all bases covered. A decent set of openers, a drool-worthy middle order, able finishers and a formidable bowling attack - they seem to check all boxes. Moreover, the crop they've garnered this year has good mix of youth and experience. They seemed to have made prudent bids for each role rather than splurging their purse on a couple of names with big reputation. (ii) Variety and experience in bowling: A certified IPL legend (Bhuvneshwar Kumar); An express pace speedster (Umran), A 2-metre left armer who can swing it (Jansen), miserly finger spinners (Sundar & Akeal), wily ol' leggie (Rashid) and a more than decent support cast (Tyagi, Farooqi, Natarajan, Markande and others). What more do you want? (iii)The engine in the middle: The stand out feature that the fans are, perhaps, most thrilled about is the middle order. Tripathi, Markram, Brook and Klassen form a very potent line up and each of those men have individually grown leaps and bounds in stature in the last one year. Furthermore, SRH have Philips, Samad and couple other impressive local cricketers as backups. And in case you feel the lack of a left hander among these is an issue, remember Sundar can be floated in the order as per convenience. (i) The Injury Chronicles: Mayank Markande missed the Irani Cup due to a finger injury, while Natarajan has been out of action since October 2022. Although, there are no other major reports of injuries from the camp, the dubious track record of Tyagi, Bhuvneshwar, Philips and Sundar is well known. Fans would hope that the players can stay fit and last the season so that SRH's chances stay ripe. (ii) Undersupply of characters proven in the IPL: As impressive as Umran, Abhishek and Markram were last year, in all fairness, they've all had just one good season in the IPL. Klassen, Rashid and Philips have a combined IPL experience of only 11 matches in which their numbers are appalling. While Brook has been setting the world on fire, he's yet to play a match in India. Adjusting to conditions is one thing, coping with the cutthroat pressure the IPL brings is another challenge these blokes will have to overcome. Game Plan: Possible Punts The upcoming ODIs against Netherlands are a must win for South Africa with regards to qualifications for the 2023 World Cup. Having already been shocked by Netherlands last year, SA don't want to take any chances and have hence decided to go with a full strength squad. This means Jansen, Klassen and captain Markram won't be available for the Orange Army TM's opening fixture. While it's just one game, a bad start can put you in a bit of rut. In a tournament where everybody talks of "momentum", SRH would want other players to stand up and get them off to a winning start. Upendra Yadav and Glenn Philips would be likely to take the place of the absentees while the toss up for captaincy could be between Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mayank Agarwal. - Mayank and other local lads
By this time last year, Mayank Agarwal was on the top of the world. He was a regular in the Test side and was being paid ₹14 crore to captain an IPL team. But he has come tumbling down a few steps. No more in the Indian team, his franchise released him and though SRH picked him up, he's getting less than 60% of his last year's salary. He'd have a point to prove. So would Anmolpreet Singh who was with the Mumbai Indians since 2019 but got only 3 matches in 4 years. Other than them, the franchise also picked a bunch of rookie domestic players whom they would want to put their long term investment in. Vivrant Sharma: their latest acquisition from J&K; Sanvir Singh: Punjab finisher who strikes at 186 in T20s and Samarth Vyas, who this season became just the fifth batter to score a double century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, would be the favourites. Wicketkeeper-batter Heinrich Klassen has been in red hot form. Whilst his brisk, match-winning hundred against WI made headlines, it didn't come out of the blue. Before this, Klassen had a stellar season of SA20 amassing 350+ runs at an average of 60 and strike rate of 164. In his last match of the season Klassen scored a 43-ball century and helped his team post a score of 254 in 20 overs. With Tripathi, Markram and Brook/Philips in the side, Klassen is likely to be given the finisher's role batting at 6: which he has been successful with on a few occasions in the past. However, Klassen was regularly batting at 3 in the SA20. Given the kind of impact he can have and Markram and Brook's credibility in playing the finisher's role, SRH could - at some point in the tournament - promote Klassen up the order and ask him to have a whack. Last time a franchise promoted a keeper-batter-finisher up top, it became a milestone moment. Share this with SRH fans you know and feel free to express your thoughts in the comments. 2023.03.25 05:12 bdubbs95th Advice for GF with ADHD
My girlfriend friend(21 F) and I (23 M) have been dating for over a year and some change now. She is such great addition to my life and together, things just click you know? We've been living together for 6 months now and I'm seeing her have a hard time getting out of bed, eating properly, sleep properly, and starting basic chores. For the summer, she will do commercial fishing with her grandfather in Alaska and have a lovely time. She would be focused, lively, and bright. But when she comes back home to WA, she loses sense of direction and desire. During the winter time she'll slip into seasonal depression. I do my best to either give her space, a distraction, or a someone to talk to. She wants to start college again but her mother and father are separated and do not have a good record of signing documents. But most importantly, her biggest hurdle is her undiagnosed ADHD. Under her mom's healthcare, Apple Health, all the therapists are booked up and she can't get a diagnosis which extremely hinders her to be productive. Her, being self aware of not being productive then leads a slippery slope to being depressed and/or ED. Since these obstacles feel so big, she will not even start because even the thought makes her break down. I want to be a supportive bf and get help/support systems so she can be happier. Any help would greatly be appreciated ❤️
TLDR;
GF has undiagnosed ADHD and her healthcare provider can't help her. Looking for advice.

2023.03.25 05:11 Is_This_Available89 Perspective from a *former* parent
I am going to try to keep this as short as possible but it’ll still be long cuz I’m a wordy bitch. I posted a few years ago from an account I’ve since deleted, but that was when I was in the middle of it, so this is perspective from a few years later and a happier place. I know there may be people saying YoU dOnT CoUnT hErE SiNcE yOu TeChNIcAlLy WeReNt ChIlDfReE aT OnE PoiNt.
I don’t care. This is perspective for the fence sitters or whoever this may help. That’s my only reason for sharing my story. To help anyone who may benefit. If that’s not you and you don’t relate, okey dokey, you can skip. Mostly, I staunchly advocate for a childfree life to all the currently childless women I can.
For context, I am a woman in my thirties.
Throughout all my 20s, I desperately wanted to be a mom. For the life of me I no longer remember why. But so desperately that I was wildly depressed when it turned out my husband and I weren’t likely to have them. Long story short, I turned to foster care. I didn’t feel I needed to have my own to be a mom. I just wanted to be a safe haven and happy place for children. I thought maybe if someone needed a permanent home one day, I’d adopt.
I ended up with a multiple sibling group for my very first placement. They had been in foster care their whole short lives. They were truly good kids and I loved them deeply. But OH MY GOD did I flip the switch immediately. Ten years of wanting to be a mom turned off INSTANTLY. I can’t tell you how fast I realized parenthood wasn’t for me. I stuck with it for almost a year though because I didn’t want to give up. I wanted to be there for them, hoping their bio parent would get it together and be able to take them back or that the system would finally decide to find an adoptive family for them. None of that happened. It just kept going. And the further I got into parenthood, the more depressed I got. The more sick I got because I was always sleep deprived and stressed and eating cold macaroni out of a fucking pot because all I had time for was dinner leftovers. The less time I had alone with my husband, the less fun I had, the less free time I had, the less LIFE I had. It was ALL just parenting.
I realized the way I romanticized parenthood when I was younger, and I realized how until recently, it never really seemed like it was openly talked about how EXTREMELY EXHAUSTING and life sucking it is. Yes, you should know parenthood is hard, but growing up, it was mostly romanticized. Motherhood was “the most important thing you could do”. It wasn’t IF you have kids but WHEN you have kids. And that makes me so angry. I’m GLAD young women are realizing more and more today that IT’S A VALID OPTION SIMPLY NOT TO DO IT.
It was the hardest decision of my life because I desperately wanted out of parenthood but I desperately loved those children specifically. I realized how I was drowning though and losing my ability to be a functional parent (or human.) I had to let them go and help transition them to a new foster family. I still think about them to this day but I’m 100% confident and glad of my decision to be childfree forevermore. I actually get very very stressed when I read stories of regretful parents because all of those stories are biological parents who really cannot get out of it. At least I had that option. I can’t imagine what would have happened to me or a child had I just straight up adopted or worse, opted for in vitro. (I’m staunchly against in vitro now by the way.)
My whole point of sharing this story is not to convince people who are already sure of themselves not to have kids. I had some people weirdly offended last time? Like I DONT NEED YOU TO TELL ME. I ALREADY KNOW MYSELF! Okay great, then this isn’t for you? This is for the people who are unsure. If you are unsure…parenthood is not for you. This is for the people who may have been like me back in the day, reading stories on here to find out if you’re normal for not wanting kids or feeling wrong for not wanting kids as a woman especially. YOU ARE NORMAL. YOU ARE SMART. YOU ARE VALID.
But also, this is for those reading these subreddits for perspective , but who do think you may want children. Foster children ARE NOT Guinea pigs. Don’t just try them on for size. They’ve already been through so much. But if you are truly leaning towards the parenthood side of the fence, consider helping the insane amount of children ALREADY HERE under some unfortunate circumstances instead of making copies of yourself when the world is already so full. You might end up loving it and being great at it and helping some lives, or you might end up learning a lot about yourself like me, but in a situation you can exit if you need.
Bottom line, when people ask me now if I want children I tell them absolutely not and share my story. I see friends get pregnant and regret it and thank my lucky stars now it was never me.
Ironically, I now work in a preschool and I actually have a lot of fun and bond well with the children because I get to go home and sleep and enjoy my otherwise childfree life and have the energy for it. As a childless woman in childcare you get asked A LOT if you’re gonna have your own or if you have baby fever, and I adamantly say HELL NO.
I love that childfree lifestyles are gaining traction, that regretful parents are being more open about their stories, and that forums like this exist. I think conversations like these are so important, and this is just my little contribution from my perspective because I still haven’t come across anyone with a similar story.
And with that, I’m off to another weekend of dancing, going to fun shows, and sleeping in because I’m childfree and enjoying life. Thanks for reading my stream of consciousness if you made it this far.

2023.03.25 05:10 redcent_throaway AITA for not tipping.
My friends and I occasionally will go out for dinner and a more up market place and then spend a night on the town. We take turns at paying for the dinner and last night it was my turn. There was a new place that had opened up on the waterfront that had a great menu and also came highly recommended from other people we knew.
Our dinner at the restaurant was fantastic, the food and service was great and they had a nice selection of beer on tap. We stayed for about 2 hours and had a great time. I had roughly worked out that the bill was $300 so certainly not cheap. When I went to the counter to pay the card reader screen first asked if I wanted to tip 15, 30, or 50 percent.
I don't tip, I never have and don't think I ever will. Even had the bill not been so expensive I wouldn't have tipped. I pressed the decline button that took me through to the screen where I could pay. Once I finished paying the staff member said "Wow, thanks very much" in a very rude and sarcastic way. I shrugged and told him that it wasn't my job to pay him and that he already has an hourly wage and that I didn't appreciate his tone.
When I got home that night I sent an email to the restaurant to know that their staff member had been rude to me for not tipping. However I'm beginning to think I might have been wrong as the he did seem very pissed off with me.
So, AITA.

2023.03.25 05:09 Kuronoma_Sawako Is it possible to be a full-time student while having full-time work?
Greetings, everyone!
I recently got accepted in a scholarship in Europe to do my masters as a full-time student, and everything is paid + allowance. I really want to go because it opens a lot of opportunities but at the same time, I'm thinking if I can continue my work there while studying.
My work sched is flexi-time. I'm required to render 40 hours a week but its up to me how I spend it to some degree so this won't be an issue. It's also fully-remote. I'm really hoping I don't leave my job yet because I really like it so far (WLB is good, nice workmates, fully-remote, and compensation is really nice i.e., almost at par with abroad salaries which is another reason I'm having a hard time letting go).
Do you think this is doable? I don't mind not being able to travel or socialize as much as the other students if that's what it takes to achieve this.
If everything goes south, I guess I'll either stop my masters, or I resign in my job.
Has anyone ever done something similar to this before? Any feedback is much appreciated. Thank you!

2023.03.25 05:09 Jax_Masterson Does anyone else thing it’s weird that the entire web3 team has left GameStop?

You have Jordan Holberg leaving with the Feet Pics thing, plus this comment.

Is it possible that they’ve ‘done the job’ and are moving on to better things? Who is firing Spike and Jordan if there are internal issues?
I know the ultimate use of NFTs is tokenized stocks that remove GME from the corrupt tradfi system entirely, but it can’t be a good sign that everyone is gone.

2023.03.25 05:08 Lightgliterr Social life and money, how to budget?
So I’m a college student and probably will finish my masters degree by spring 2024. I have money from my part time job but I had to get rid of my spending on streaming services (I had 2) Amazon prime but I won’t let go of Spotify premium. Because even tho I have the student discount these things add up.
Commuting to school also costs, phone bill, groceries, a few other things. I live at home luckily so I don’t pay all the bills.
But with social life I’ve had to talk my way out of events or plans that included taking a bus or Uber somewhere and then going out. Idk how I had money for this stuff years ago as a high school kid but now I can’t find it in the budget? I admit I love getting coffee out. I don’t eat out a lot and when I go out with friends sometimes the hang out is around free or low cost activities, other times it’s spending a bit.
I’m not in debt and I’m helping out at home but I also wanna occasionally go out. I think I need to work on budgeting and I feel scared what people will say because sometimes I talk my way out of events when really I just don’t have it in my financial means to go out. I would love some help <3

2023.03.25 05:08 LoneWolfInCyberia Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi, writer, freedom fighter, activist, is killed in communal riots in Kanpur, just 2 days after Bhagat Singh was hanged.
| “I am a fighter against oppression and injustice, I have fought all my life against oppression against inhumanity and may God give me strength to fight on till the last” https://preview.redd.it/xi3lo3i27tpa1.png?width=220&format=png&auto=webp&s=ef5b49c24c899ffc95f6ab711c38657b7d7e826a Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi was born on Oct 26, 1890 at Hathgaon in Fatehpur district, his father Jai Narayan was a school teacher. Coming from a very humble background, he was also a devout Hindu, and highly nationalist from a very young age. He did his schooling in Mungeli ( now in Chattisgarh) and later Vidisha, he however had to drop out due to financial difficulties. He later worked as a clerk for some time, and afetr some time, managed to get a job as a high school teacher. His real interest was however in journalism, and regularly contributed to magazines like Karmayogi and Swarajya. It was around this time, he adopted the pen name of Vidyarthi, which became his surname later on. His mentor was the great writer Mahabir Prasad Dwivedi, who was also known as the doyen of modern Hindi journalism. Dwivedi, offered him a job as a sub editor in his monthly Saraswati in 1911. His life would be interwined with another freedom fighter, Jatindranath Das born 14 years later on Oct 27, in Kolkata, who at just 17 years was an active member of the Anushilan Samiti, took active part in Gandhiji”s Non Cooperation movement in 1921. A brilliant student he passed his Matriculation, Intermediate exams with distinction. https://preview.redd.it/02der1ng7tpa1.png?width=220&format=png&auto=webp&s=b81310fcd260c9825fdd8f71aee9f0287cda115a Jatin took active part in Gandhiji”s Non Cooperation movement in 1921. A brilliant student he passed his Matriculation, Intermediate exams with distinction. He was arrested while doing his BA at Bangabasi College, Kolkata in 1925, and sent to Mymensingh Central Jail( now in Bangladesh). It was there that he undertook the fast for better treatment of political prisoners. After 20 days, the jail superintendent apologized, and agreed to his demands. The fast got him noticed, and he soon came into contact with the revolutionaries of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association( HSRA). He was mentored by Sachindranath Sanyal, who also taught him how to make bombs. Vidyarthi was however more interested in political writings and later joined Abhyudaya, a well known political journal of that time. In 1913, he came back to Kanpur, where he would spend the rest of his life as a fiery crusader for freedom and justice through his writings, taking up causes. He founded Pratap, the well known weekly from Kanpur in 1913, and soon began to take up the cause of ordinary people. He became the voice of the downtrodden masses, be it the peasants of Rae Bareli, or the mill workers of Kanpur, standing by them at every stage. And Vidyarthi was no armchair activisit, as he faced lathi charges, was arrested 5 times, had to pay heavy fines. Yet none of them deterred him from his cause, as he relentlessly fought on behalf of the masses. He felt that the freedom movement had to move from a tiny English educated elite to the masses, for it to be truly effective. It should not be just a few individuals, but should reflect aspirations of the masses. The much-despised peasants are our true bread-givers [annadata], not those who consider themselves special and look down upon the people who live in toil and poverty as lowly beings . He met Gandhiji in 1916 at Lucknow and threw himself into the freedom struggle fully. One of the leading lights of the Home Rule movement in 1917, he was sentenced to two years RI, for championing the cause of the peasants of Rae Bareilly. was very close friends with both Bhagat Singh and Chandra Shekhar Azad, though he personally believed in a non violent struggle. When Bhagat Singh was in hiding, it was Vidyarthi who not just gave him shelter in Kanpur, but also gave him space to write in Pratap. The Beech Wala Chowk Temple in Kanpur, was where Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi used to host his meetings, he was the one who encouraged Shiv Narayan Tandon to join Congress, and who would later become Kanpur’s first Lok Sabha MP. Vidyarthi founded the Mazdoor Sabha in 1928 which he led till his death, and in 1929, he was elected as President of UP Congress Comittee. He openly condemned Maulana Shakuat Ali for saying that the freedom struggle was anti Muslim. Jatindranath Das was arrested in 1929 for the Lahore Conspiracy case, and put in prison along with Bhagat Singh. It was here he would be known for his 62 days fast unto death demanding better treatment for political prisoners. The condition of Indian prisoners was terrible, unwashed uniforms, unhygienic food, rooms infested with rats and cockroaches. While the British prisoners got good treatment, the Indian prisoners lived in conditions which were sub human basically. He began his fast on July 13, 1929, the jail authorities tried to feed him forcibly, he was beaten up regularly by the prison guards. His hunger strike was in response to Bhagat Singh’s fast on the same issue, soon it spread among the undertrials too, and the news spread all across the nation. The Punjab Government was forced to accede to some of the demands, for instance giving medical facilities to some of the undertrials. He meanwhile went into a critical stage following his fast unto death, and it was only Bhagat Singh’s intervention that made him break the fast temporarily. He was too weak however by that time. With the authorities however refusing to release Jatin Das even on reccomendation of the comittee, the hunger strike continued, along with Bhagat Singh, Dutt and others. And finally on September 13, 1929 he passed away in prison, the first Indian freedom fighter to fast unto death. Durgavati Devi, also known as Durga Bhabi, was the one who led the funeral procession of Jatindranath Das in Kolkata. It was Netaji who paid for the expenses of transporting Jatin Das body from Lahore to Kolkata by train. Thousand turned up in Kolkata to pay respects to Jatindranath Das, on his last journey, his fast unto death had an electrifying impact. It was not just Kolkata, there were crowds all along the route, that thronged to have one last look at the man who gave up his life for the cause of freedom. In Kanpur it was Vidyarthi who organized the crowds that came to have a look at Jatin Das’s mortal remains. Vidyarthi had tried his best to save Bhagat Singh from being hanged, and also arranged a meeting between Chandrashekhar Azad and Nehru in Allahabad, which however ended on failure. The continous imprisonments also took a toll on his health. When Bhagat Singh was hanged on March 23, 1931, protests broke out in Kanpur. Unfortunately the protests turned into an ugly communal riot, and Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi rushed back to Kanpur, to control the disturbances. In the midst of one of the worst communal riots ever in Kanpur, he threw himself into the middle of it, trying to control tensions, saving many victims, but unfortunately he was killed by a mob while trying to control it, just 2 days after the hanging of Bhagat Singh. Unfortunately post independence, Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi was largely forgotten, except in his home town Kanpur. Even in the media, nothing much was done to perpetuate his legacy or memory, considering his stellar contribution to journalism. The award given to renowned journalists every year since 1989 is named after Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi. The medical college in Kanpur too is named after him, as also the erstwhile Phool Bagh now called Ganesh Shankar Udyan. And on 18 July 2017, the Kanpur airport was named after him by the CM, Yogi Adityanath, a fitting tribute to one of Kanpur’s most famous citizens. Incidentally, the famous actor Ashish Vidyarthi was named after Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi by his father. 2023.03.25 05:07 bdubbs95th Advice for GF with ADHD

2023.03.25 05:07 From_TheGecko Positive IUD experience
I spent years reading stories and building up the courage to get an IUD and I wanted to give back! I want to present my experience as a possibility - no matter your experience I'm proud of you for taking care of your reproductive health!
Before I have researched, built up certainty, and chickened out repeatedly for over 5 years. For BC I started with Yaz, which I took for 4 years, I thought Yaz killed my libido so I switched to Ortho tri-cyclin (after enduring some teasing from my PCP...who soon after stopped being my PCP), I hated the constant spotting so I switched after 2 years to nuvaring, which I didn't hate and used for 4 years. I brought up switching to an IUD with my PCP and asked a million questions. She was very helpful and coincidentally was the clinic's de facto IUD expert. I highly recommend asking every question you can think of. Her confidence definitely boosted mine.
Procedure It just so happened that my appointment was scheduled for 4 days after I removed my nuvaring at the usual time and day 2 of what is usually 4 days of flow. My placement was in the afternoon, so I ate a good lunch and drank a ton of water (I think because of nerves). I took ibuprofen before as directed by my doctor. Deciding which one was one of the harder parts of the process. Shout-out to my PCP who started the conversation with "do you want kids?" and suggested the longest-lasting options. I don't know why it threw me so much when I was told to undress from the waist down - probably just habit from pap smears. The PCP inserted the speculum and cleaned my cervix - awkward but not a big deal. Next she measured my uterus. I'll be honest - this hurt worse than I expected but it only lasted 5 seconds and I focused extra-hard on my breathing. I'd describe it like being jabbed with a hot poker. Insertion was a less intense repeat of measuring. I did reach a moment where I thought "I'm not sure how much more of this I can take" and then she announced she was done. Again, I focused on taking slow, deep breaths.
After I did drive myself home (although my husband was on call to come get me if I needed) I had a moment where I thought "I could probably go back to work" but I didn't since I wasn't sure if I would start feeling worse. Once home I cuddled up with a heating pad and took a power nap. I didn't have much appetite but I did eat supper. The next morning I would say I felt 95% of normal. At work I was extra whiny but the pain didn't interfere with doing my job. I definitely had multiple times where I had intrusive thoughts of "that's not supposed to be there" and "just pull it out" I felt probably 98% of normal the next few days. I had mild cramping for about 2 weeks, especially when I would sit for a while or didn't have something else to think about. I had a breakout of cystic acne but it's cleared and seems more balanced I had one day of heavy spotting then nothing.
As of now I'm so glad I went through with the procedure.

2023.03.25 05:06 wquqjxn BF flirting with COWORKER.
TL;DR - my boyfriend has a coworker who has been constantly messaging him, and flirting with him for months. I’m not sure if he has feelings for her at this point or what but it’s become a huge fight in our house. Her feelings matter more to him than mine, he made that clear today by saying he wouldn’t stop messaging her because it would cause for a hostile work environment for him. Not caring that it’s already causing a hostile home environment for us…
I desperately need advice. My 24(M) boyfriend and myself 23(F) have been together a year. I work remotely and he worked as a semi driver when we met. Back in November he finally got hired for his first work from home position and we were both so excited. The excitement didn’t last too long.
When he started this job there was a girl his age in his training class. I didn’t think anything of it, because that’s life. You work with men and woman. About a week into his new job I noticed the same girl was messaging him on slack, every day. And a lot. Slack is like Facebook messenger for the office. I asked him what they were talking about and if I could see it since her name was constantly popping up. And no one else in this class was messaging him. He played dumb for a few minutes but let me look. This girl was sending him messages that I’ve never sent a coworker. They were acting like high schoolers txting. Sending memes, tons of smiley faces, she sent him photos of her parrot, her dogs, told him where she lived. Even invited him to come stay with her and her husband if he ever made it down to florida. (My boyfriend doesn’t even send me emojis when he texts, he only did in the very beginning when we were flirting)
After reading the messages I was so upset. I couldn’t believe they were flirting like that and I pretty much told him that. He laughed it off and said I was nuts and there was nothing wrong with it. These message exchanges go on like this throughout training and anytime I bring it up it’s a blow up fight between us. This girl lives 14 hours away and his argument is he couldn’t possibly cheat or flirt with someone that far away. He also insisted that they had to chat everyday since they were in training together. I ask him to dial it back and to stop messaging her so much when training was over. I also stopped asking to see the messages because I was just making myself sad at this point.
Well here we are 6 months later and this girl is still a problem. She pretty much messages him every day several times a day. Still a ton of flirty smiley faces, memes and just finds any excuse to talk to him. He plays into it as well. I asked him to stop messaging her all together because is it VERY clear she’s flirting with him. (And their job doesn’t require them to talk at all) We just had another blow out fight this week regarding this. Probably one of the worst ones yet. He said he’s not going to stop messaging her because she’s a coworker and he needs to be a team player. He said it will make it awkward for him during work meetings when she can see him on camera if he just send a thumbs up or general acknowledgment so she gets the hint. He said that it will create a hostile work environment for him if he doesn’t help her with work or respond to her messages.
I’ve called him out and think this is BS. It’s a hostile relationship between us at this point because he refuses to make any changes or care about how this has made me feel for 6 months. I asked him today to not respond to her message just to see how it would go. They had a meeting (the whole team sits and listens to the manager talk, they don’t interact at all, just listen basically) and she sent him a meme and a follow up message that said “omg is it just me or did she not answer your question lol 🤣☺️”. He didn’t respond, due to me asking him not to. (Also the first time he hasn’t responded to her) She texted again, another meme. But quickly deleted it when he clicked on the chat. He said he had no idea why. A few more hours pass and she texted again, a copy of an email she was working on. It was a simple email that was already done, and literally had NO reason to send it to him. I questioned him about why she would send that, and he said she’s just trying to help him out. He completely denies that she’s being flirty and said he wants to respond to her last message because it’s rude not to. I told him that this is a clear indicator that shes flirting with him because she sent multiple messages when he didn’t answer to get him to respond.
Sorry this story is so all over the place. But there’s so much more that goes into it. Not sure if I’m crazy or not but I am feeling so betrayed and overwhelmed. Don’t know how to handle this situation.

2023.03.25 05:06 Kuronoma_Sawako Is it possible to be a full-time student while having full-time work?
Thank you!

2023.03.25 05:06 Redpahnto My boss made me feel like crap.
I work at a sandwich chain. I started last week.. My boss (the owner of the franchise) came in for closing today and basically made me feel like utter crap. He complained that I wasn't going as fast as he was, that I should he faster Then he said I was moving like a slug and maybe I should go home and get some rest. Then he asked why I hadn't finished my training videos. I told him I had school assignments and then he basically made me tell him my whole schedule. Then he sat me down and told me to do some training videos on my phone. My phone has slow data because I used all the high speed data my plan allowed me. Then he asked why I sat there for 10 minutes and didn't tell him it wasn't working. He then accused me of wasting time for free money. Then he asked me how many texts, emails and calls I got every day and then showed me how many missed calls and messages he had. Then he said I was taking advantage of him and was only working there so I could get money. Then he complained that we wasted 20 minutes talking and how he wanted to go home to his family. I promised him I'd finish the videos by Monday and then we went back to closing. He also said he didn't want to fire me about 5 times. Sorry, I know this was a lot but I just needed to get it out. TLDR: Boss made me feel like crap for not being as good as everyone else and accused me of wasting time for free money.

2023.03.25 05:06 fkthewholeleft Job caught me outsourcing. Getting fired!
Hey all. I work as a staff engineer at a MANGA company. I’m paid pretty low at $500k a year with a $235k sign on bonus and $400k in stock.
I outsource my job to people in the Philippines for around $30k a year (robbery I know!). After I actually contributed to the codebase myself, I caused an outage (my code was too good for these other engineers to understand).
Now I’m being fired and my severance package includes a year of pay and $200k stock. Unfortunately since I can’t prove my income I won’t able to get a mortgage for my 35th rental propriety. I’m going to look so stupid. So my question is should I take a job with Meta for $450k and $300k stock or with Google for $600k and no stock but 30%l bonus?
