2023.06.02 19:35 Chinchillin24 [WTS] Knife purge
https://imgur.com/a/sWH4yoW Need to make some room (and cash) so listing some of these for sale -- no trades at this time, please. All knives come with original packaging/stuff.
Spyderco Military (SV 400): Excellent condition, with no obvious blems on the frame. The blade has been sharpened to near-mirror on a TSProf and is pretty darn sharp. This is the newer CQI version with the larger body screws. Really neat knife, but I use my 4V one as my user. Well centered, no lock stick. Lockout is solid at 50%, although there is a touch of vertical rock -- I actually sent this back to Spyderco and they told me this was expected and there is no risk for lock failure.
WE Ziffius (SV 350): LNIB, really nice button lock action. It's an amazing knife, and has one of the most robust lock-ups I have experienced on any button lock. Well centered, no lock stick.
Heavily modded 3V AD20.5 (SV 300): Basically my ideal AD20.5 build. 3V blade with custom hollow grind, purple ano'd textured Ti scales, and DLC'd hardware w/deep carry clip. Action is amazing. Honestly, if I didn't already have several other daily users, I would want to keep this for my EDC. I hope I can find someone who will appreciate these particular mods, as everything was really well done. Well centered, no lock stick.
Tactile Maverick (SV 250): Like new, really nice and thin blade. What can I say, I just have too many other similar knives to justify keeping this one. Well centered.
SE Evo (SV 600): LNIB, really nice. Honestly, I forgot I preordered this until I got the payment email, so it was an unexpected payment I had to deal with. Now, you could have it for less than what I paid new! Centered, no lock stick, lockout at 50%, flawless action.
Spider monkey (SV 150): S35VN, DLC blade, very light user but no significant blems I can identify. Really nice, small knife to EDC use. Solid lockout around 50%, centered.
HMU with questions, offers, etc. Cheers!

2023.06.02 19:30 Jwilliquette Help With Benchmarking
I’ve been trying to diagnose issues with my PC stuttering in games it shouldn’t struggle with and I ran two benchmarks. Cinebench R23 and Heaven Benchmark. Attached are pictures of the scores, the problem is, I have no idea if they’re good or not.
GPU: RX 6750 XT CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
I’m aware that my CPU isn’t up to par with my GPU but the GPU was on sale for $330 when I wanted an upgrade so I bought it.
Anyone here know if these scores are good?

2023.06.02 18:52 CurryTacos63 Our 2010 Lexus RX 350 in Starfire Pearl after a wash
2023.06.02 18:20 Troll-e-poll-e-o-lee Fall 2024 hopeful. Should I even apply? 31M First Gen URM w/unusual path. 670 GMAT. Be honest w/my chances.
Brief-ish background (more detail on some of the career description below).Grew up in the southwest. Not very good options as far as schools and career paths post college (it’s all operations and warehouses). Could have probably gotten into better undergrads but as a first-gen student (parents not from US), I didn’t really understand the importance of college choice for career path nor what career paths were out there.
Post graduation I worked at an insurance firm since it was the first role I was offered. Didn’t really like it but stayed about a year.
Worked at an investment management firm as a broker. Stayed for 21 months. The role was a call center environment and was not a good fit for what I was looking for. Struggled to get a promotion. Was ultimately fired
Took a job not long after doing the same thing at another broker. Was there for about 10 months. Was also fired over a weird reason elaborated further below but the broker sold their practice to a larger broker-dealer which I think factored in the decision.
After this I was feeling pretty down and lacking confidence in finding a career in business. I decided to try my hand at Computer Science and studied math and computer science at a local community college. Took a night shift job to cover cost of living after a semester. COVID hit and I decided it was best to not take hard math and computer science classes in an online environment.
After much deliberation, I explored and decided to attend a Masters in Finance program as a mini-MBA. I found a program that would suit me well and still had in-person options. Graduated in a year.
Accepted a job offer at a regional bank (in the S&P 500) working in Corporate Finance; specifically Corporate Profitability Analytics. The role is more data related and has me using SQL, Power BI, and other data related software/programs in addition to Excel. Currently 1.5 years in. Have been doing well and hoping to be able to gain a promotion soon although the company is sort of cheap when it comes to this sort of thing. While I don’t mind my current work, it is niche and not something I find particularly interesting outside of the skillset I’ve been able to gain.
If I weren’t considering applying to an MBA I’d probably start searching for other opportunities, however, I also realize that with my pre-MSF experience, the job hopping doesn’t look good and there will be more benefit to sticking with the company for almost 3 years at the start of the program and having a promotion under my belt.
MBA Info
· Why I want an MBA:
· Short-term I’m hoping to pivot into management/strategy consulting for my longer-term goal of being able to be a leader in my community. I would want to pivot into starting my own non-profit firm where I help members of low-income communities and URM owned businesses grow with the knowledge I gain from my consulting experience. I also think consulting would help with my eclectic nature and help with preventing the need to job hop given constantly being in new environments (probs wont mention this in an application though)
· Why I want one now:
· My current role is pretty niche in the banking industry. I’m afraid of being pigeonholed and the skillset I’m gaining, while desirable, isn’t necessarily one I see that aligns with my long-term goals.
· Target schools:
· Planning to apply through Consortium. Columbia (reach), Tuck, Yale, NYU, UVA, Rochester (safety school). Also open to applying outside of Consortium or changing the schools I apply to if better fit is recommended.
Background
· Work experience (starting from most recent)
· Nov 2021-Present; Corporate Financial Analyst at regional bank in S&P 500*.*
· I work in Corporate Profitability Analytics. While my title is a Financial Analyst, skillset wise, I would say my role is closer to a data analyst. I utilize SQL, Power BI, Excel, and other software to help develop, design and refine models to allow the bank to conduct data driven research in regards to the profitability of the bank. I develop and maintain reports and dashboards to disseminate information to executives and other relevant stakeholders and field questions and concerns related to the information.
· Oct 2020 – Aug 2020; Masters in Finance student at a state school
· This served as a mini-MBA for me. In my previous roles prior to this program, I was a bad fit as the roles were far too customer service oriented and led to me being fired from 2 of the roles and me quitting before I could be fired from another.
· December 2019 – July 2020 Bi-Lingual Fraud Representative at a large Credit Card Company (Capital One/DiscoveAmex type)
· This was a role I took on while I was considering a career switch into Computer Science/Financial Engineering. The role was a night shift and allowed me to work while taking classes.
· Left the role on my own terms as I wanted time to prepare for my Masters in Finance program
· Aug 2019 – March 2019; Math/Comp Sci student at community college
· Attended a local community college where I was majoring in Math/Computer Science as I was considering a career switch during a crisis of confidence. Took math, programming and engineering classes while attending. COVID struck during second semester and decided that taking a STEM heavy course load online was not optimal for me.Around this time, I decided to look into MBA’s and Masters in Finance programs. One MBA program (Rochester) really wanted me to apply there, but overall, I felt the MSF suited me better for my experience and where I was at in life. It would allow me to keep the MBA in the back pocket for any other potential switches.
· Oct 2018 – Jul 2019; Licensed Investment Professional at a Broker-Dealer
· Worked as a Series 7 and Series 63 licensed contractor. The company is large and serves a specified client base but did not have a large broker-dealer segment. Took a hands-on approach in all aspects of wealth and asset management: consulting and educating investors in mutual fund options and other products to help meet financial goals.
· Consistently led entire department in relationship management and engagement metrics: survey responses, survey scores, and new business development through sales referrals to advisory consultants in a fast-paced environment
· Consistently led entire department in operations and efficiency metrics while exceeding accuracy requirements and adhering to legal compliance through attention to detail
· Ended up being fired after a client complained to a friend of his in the Board of Directors that I wouldn’t help them with something that was not possible. The company ended up being bought out by a larger broker-dealer during that same month and they had been letting contractors expire w/out being renewed. I am under the impression they were downsizing regardless. I understand this section is speculative and would most likely omit it from any actual application.
·
· Nov 2016 – Aug 2018; Licensed Investment Professional at a top Broker-Dealer (PIMCO/Vanguard/Schwab type)
· Similar functional duties as other broker-dealer. In addition to those duties, demonstrated leadership and ability to work collaboratively through training and development of new hires, presentation of materials and investment methodology for new hires in multiple meetings, coaching, and mentorship of peers
· Voluntarily cross-trained and developed skills from higher level departments in order to liaison with those departments and assist in their service levels and learn new skills
· Consistently led the department in efficiency metrics such as calls taken and average handle time while maintaining high accuracy
· Ended up being placed on a performance improvement plan without warning and subsequently fired by my manager not long after. This happened after she found out I was looking into other companies as I was feeling dissatisfied with my lack of promotion. I had talked about seeking other roles within the company that would be less customer service oriented and she said she was supportive of that. When I would apply to jobs that were more in line with what I was looking for in the company, I would get great feedback from the interviewers. They would then ask my current manager for feedback and after that I would seemingly get rejected. I understand this section is speculative and would most likely omit it from any actual application.
· Aug 2015 – Jul 2016 Workers Compensation Insurance Adjuster at a top firm (Travelers/Hartford/Zurich type)
· Under minimal supervision interpreted and applied insurance contract policies exercising sound judgment in order to quickly reach outcome of fraud investigation while still maintaining high quality and meeting regulatory audits and requirements.
· Knowledgeable point of reference and correspondence for witnesses, agents, other insurance companies, medical providers, attorneys, and others.
· Utilized discipline, self-motivation and strong organizational skills to properly handle multiple tasks for proper case management of existing claims as a full caseload was often 100+ claims.
· Worked with internal partners on a special project to help conduct and report data driven risk analysis by identifying patterns and industry trends and researching strategies to reduce negative trends; provided qualitative feedback/analysis as an adjuster.
· Consistently led the department in client survey feedback in both number of survey responses and survey scores (never received less than a 9). Won the monthly competition 7 of the 8 months it was in place.
· Left on my own terms. Realized early on into the job that the insurance industry was not interesting to me nor where I wanted to be. Once I received a job offer from an Investment Management company, I put in my two weeks.
· Extra curriculars and other experience:
· I’m a religious individual. During undergrad I was very involved with my church in its ministry and even interned there. Since graduating, I have been heavily involved in youth ministry in poor areas that are heavily minority. I have a particular calling to kids of these backgrounds because I used to from a similar background and know many of them don’t see enough positive male role models who have been able to overcome many of the trappings that growing up in less-than-optimal conditions can provide. In this role, I am able to connect with youth and facilitate conversation about life, faith, and development with them.
· I also serve as a member of the Finance Council and Development Advisory Board of a local church. In these roles I take part in creating and monitoring budgeting and finances of the church as well as developing ideas to raise revenue and seek out potential tithing partners.
· Undergrad school/major:
· State School ranked outside of top 200. Double majored in Political Science and Business Economics
· Chose to attend there due to full-ride scholarships. Did not realize the importance of choosing certain colleges for certain career paths
· Other education/coursework:
· Masters in Finance at state school w/top 50 business program
· Graduated with a 3.5 GPA
· Race/nationality:
· Primarily Hispanic (mixed w/other minorities but not sure how it classifies)
· Sex:
· M
Stats
· GMAT Score: Include breakdown
· 670 (42q/40v). Looking/probably need to retake as it may expire soon. Think I can score 700+ since I took this before taking math/computer science classes at community college
· Undergrad GPA:
· 3.41 for Bachelors. (3.6 at community college)
· Grad School GPA
· 3.5

2023.06.02 18:16 singshopsleep Semi-Annual Sale (SAS) Pricing Info
2023.06.02 18:12 NuancedThinker $500 pair of bookshelf speakers: help me choose!
Help me choose! I've read lots of posts here and elsewhere, and it seems people are all satisfied with...
Should I consider cheaper ones like...
This is for a medium-sized family room. I already have a subwoofer but would like to get decent bass out of whichever I choose--I like the idea of a 6" woofer but not sure if I should. (I know bookshelf speakers can't replace a subwoofer.) This will be used for both music and home theater.
I'm not too concerned about "bright" vs. "warm" or other subjective considerations, as I know all these are very good and those differences will be slight. I also can't listen to them all, nor would I trust myself to be able to pick one based on listening--I'm happy to pick the best one "in theory" and just go with it.
And a few other side questions if you know:
- Are the cheaper ones nearly just as good?
- Are any of the above brands a poor choice just because of the brand?
- Are any of the above sometimes available at a significantly lower price that I should wait/look for?
- Am I missing a pair I should consider?
- Are they all so good that I should just
But most of all,
which of the above is best? I'll order the above by overall impression I get from replies and other research.

2023.06.02 17:12 SiltoruzExraz Need Some Bulk Posting Advice as well as Shop Advice
https://www.etsy.com/shop/perfectartdesignsco Hey fellow shop owners,
I have a digital printable wall art products shop on etsy. My shop is almost 1 year old in age.
I have currently 350+ active listings out of which some 150-200 I posted in last 2 months.
I have 55 sales till now. And this month I got 1500 visits in total and last month I got 1100.
My overall conversion rate is really poor something about 0.6%.
Now, I have almost 3000 ready listings which I can post. I have a lot of listing credits also. So, posting them wouldn’t be a big money issue for me.
I am worried if I post too much like 40-50 listings a day. Would etsy algorithm hurt my shop because I guess they will consider I am spamming too much? Does it safe for my shop?
And what steps should I take to improve overall performance of my shop?

2023.06.02 16:56 jarias21646 Added a video of the center console for those interested
| Ask me anything! I installed this on my MB 2015 W212 (E-350) took me about 2-3 hrs as this was my first time doing it. It is very simple and almost plug and play. I have also installed a similar system on my wife’s Lexus. Yes the shift knob works the same way as well as the steering wheel controls. Bluetooth is handle through the center console rather than the car’s bluetooth, so your car needs to be default to AUX at all times, this is a one time process but it may come up everyone once in while. Yes I have wifi in the car for when I dont use CarPlay and I want to use youtube or google. CarPlay connects wireless and it is very reliable submitted by jarias21646 to mercedes_benz [link] [comments] |

Much like Faraday Future is “disrupting” the century-old automotive industry, architecturally trained designer and Faraday Future fan, Rem D Koolhaas, who is the very first FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance user, is also known as a “disruptor” as it relates to creating dramatic design approaches to objects including automobile design. Rem created the award-winning fashion label United Nude in 2003. United Nude is widely known for blending the worlds of fashion and architecture within abstract yet functional objects such as shoes, chairs, and personal accessories.
Rem has applied his dramatic design approaches to automobile design, resulting in vehicles with limited facets and curves that are still technically advanced and fully functional. Rem and United Nude created “The Lo-Res Car” and showcased it as a conceptual EV in 2015 at the world-famous Petersen Automotive Museum. As Faraday Future is breaking the boundaries in design, technology, and mobility, we are excited to have such a design-focused visionary to co-create with us and help us disrupt the industry and lead FF into the future of new mobility.
The first of its kind, the “All-Ability aiHypercar” FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance is a newly evolved silicon-based new species, which features incredible vehicle configurations and performance. The FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance is currently priced at $309,000.
The vehicle is driven by three motors making 1050 horsepower, 1977Nm of electric motor output torque, the largest in its class. FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance also boasts the longest interior space among ultra-luxury vehicles with a similar wheelbase + Zero-Gravity seat with the industry's largest recline angle of 60 degrees, bringing first-class comfort to the road. With an acceleration time of just 2.27 seconds for 0-60 mph (96 km/h), the FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance takes the top spot in terms of the acceleration-to-weight ratio of 0.78, and a range-to-weight ratio of 136, surpassing traditional and electric vehicle competitors alike.
The next-generation technology architecture, the “FF aiHyper 6x4 Architecture 2.0,” powered by FF AI, the FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance has the capability to perceive user habits, engage in continuous learning and evolve. Through the “3rd aiSpace”, users can fully indulge in unique convenience and enjoyment. In terms of exterior design, the FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance is truly space-age, with its innovative matrix-style LED headlights that span across the front and rear of the vehicle.
“I’m excited to see our first user now under contract for our FF 91 and our continued progress on the first phase of our delivery plan. The FF 91 was envisioned six years ago and since then, we have continuously upgraded our vehicle.” Said YT Jia, FF Founder & CPUO.
Through the support of Web 3.0 technology, FF has designed a system separating software and hardware, aiming to allow car users to truly own the software as an asset for the first time.

2023.06.02 16:03 Bigbadbellybug What else could my resume be applicable for besides sales and mobile sales?
Hey so I’ll be graduating by august of this year with my bachelors in business management. I’d like to get out of sales and retail in general. Any idea what my resume would look good for? Any critiques as well? I’m interested in moving to supply chain, logistics, analysis or anything else besides sales lol. Please help.

2023.06.02 15:56 PorkChopSoup1 Gaming Laptop recommendation.
I'm a college student looking for 14 to 16 inch laptops. I had a 13" 128 GB macbook 2015 before and looking for something ideally with 1TB SSD, good battery and okayish portability. I can spend about $1200 (cheaper the better lol). It would be great if I can manage to get international warranty as I travel quite a bit. Here are some of my options. Please do suggest if you got something better. Thanks!
- Asus G15, ryzen 9 6900HS, 16GB ddr5, rtx 3060, 512 GB SSD
- Acer predator Helios 300 , i7 12700H, 16GB ddr5, rtx 3060, 512 GB SSD
3.Acer predator triton 300 SE, i7 12700H, 16GB lpddr5, rtx 3060, 512 GB SSD
4.Dell G16 2022, i7 12700H, 16GB ddr5, rtx 3060, 1TB SSD
- Asus G14, Ryzen 9 5900HS, 16GB ddr5, rtx 3060, 1TB SSD
Was hoping to include Asus G14 with ryzen 9 CPU and Radeon RX 6700S, 1TB SSD but alas it's out of sale on best buy and probably was one of the better options.

The second hand items from the 12400 guy exude much less fragrance compared to when they were obtained (assuming his household laundry detergent or similar had fragrance as the source), and I doubt you'd sense it if your own living arrangements have any sort of scented items. They come with all original cables, boxes, manuals, etc I still have. If you want more information about anything, feel free to ask and it will be added. Selling because old 2010 pc with phenom ii x3, gtx460, and 8gb is sufficient for my use case, try for modern hardware again some other time.

i5-12400 | 2nd hand. H0 stepping, not the more power hungry C0 (C0 is a partially disabled 8core die), and is AVX-512 capable going by the production date(did not verify; see motherboard notes). small blemish/ding(?) from previous owner's cooler on ihs, but can't tell if it was permanent indent or rubbed off hard bit of dried paste. includes box and cooler. | 140/140 |

| Coolers | |

unknown 6 heatpipe thermalright cooler - possibly the burst assassin non-argb model without fan | 2nd hand from the 12400 guy. tower only. has blemish/nick on contact surface. his laundry detergent had fragrance, so i couldn't use it. he also didn't clean the paste off and shipped it in a ziplock bag. i cleaned it as well as i could and replaced the bag. | 15?/10 |
noctua s12b redux 1200rpm | 2nd hand from the 12400 guy. same scent problem. can't remember testing it. | 10?/5 |
arctic alpine 17 co | BNIB, but box looks beat up | 13/8 |
id cooling se-224-xt-basic | used to cool a 3800X for a few months before the faulty mobo went kaput and sold the other parts of it. no 1700 mounting hardware because it was produced before alder lake. the win10pro key from the msi pro mobo is written on a slip of paper tucked inside the instruction manual. | 25?/15 |
Thermalright Assassin X 120 refined SE | mounted 90 degrees clockwise for bottom-to-top airflow in sama case | 20/15 |
| | |
| Motherboards | |
| | |
msi b660m mortar wifi ddr4 | mobo vrms have coil whine crackle-hum using turbo boost, most likely related to powerstate/frequency switching (disappears when fully loaded or not doing anything) or concurrent with putting load on the integrated graphics, tried a whole bunch of bios settings to stop it, C1E enabled reduces it. integrated graphics culprit unverified due to case and difficulty with it; haven't tested a discrete card to eliminate igpu cause. latest bios(v19) at the time is flashed, need earlier bios version for avx512 capability, tried to get that instruction set working but found out it involves tainting my kernel and i don't use windows but if you do, the only os-side step is to move the specific intel microcode file out of system32. replaced the ilm with the thermalright one. includes right angle usb3 header adapter. | 100/100 |
msi b660m a pro ddr4 wifi | 2nd hand from 12400 guy. has smudge on backside near cpu bracket from alcohol solubility test on the paint; backside is alcohol soluble. has same scent as others from him. he did a bad paste job on cpu area and shipped it that way, i cleaned it up (no socket pins got paste on them thankfully because he didn't remove cpu from the board) tested and it works. comes with windows 10 pro key. the m.2 wifi card was worked, but putting it back in this board... i didn't have enough finger dexterity. one of the contact n!pp!es is bent, needs to be bent back. can't get it back out to do that, stuck. includes piece of factory glue that goes between the contacts and holds the leads in place. treat as non wifi version with potential bonus for trying hard enough. anti static bag on one side MAY have trace of urushiol due to being blown away when airing out onto a patch of cracked concrete where two weeks previously had been a sprout which had been disposed of then the area alcohol-doused then two rainstorms. includes right angle usb3 header adapter. | 80/70 |
thermalright 1700 anti-bending ilm silver | comes with thermal paste(used once) and original ilm of the mortar mobo | 9/8 |

| RAM | |
| | |
teamgroup 2x8gb 3200 c16 | 2nd hand from 12400 guy, works, had somehow strongest scent of them all. | 32//25 |
timetec 2x16gb 3200 c16 | dual rank with hynix 8gigabit jjr ic's (lower binned cjr) remember to lock in the voltage to safe level for that ic instead of auto. partially manually overclocked, enabled xmp then increase to gear1 3466mt/s (what i can tell, max speed with the locked vcssa without loosening timings) and the few timings changed are: command rate to real 1N; did not test tighter than tRRD to 6, tRRD_L to 6, and tFAW to 24; tREFI should be able to be higher than 24960 but didn't test; tRFC has errors at 460, can't remember what 480's result was, and 500 is stable. stressapptest for an hour after each change made, no errors. may go tighter, less than 10 attempts worth of tweaking. | 70/65 |
| | |
| Storage | |
| | |
western digital sn770 500gb | 2nd hand from the 12400 guy, but didn't notice scent(was under heatsink). has been secure erased. smart data said 2.4tbw. | 30/25 |
samsung 970 evo plus 2tb | 2nd hand from best buy geek squad refurbished. smart data indicated literal open box condition. has been secure erased. smart data says 3.28tbw. | 98/80 |
| | |
| GPU | |
| | |
xfx rx460 4gb | 2nd hand from a miner in 2021. was dirty but cleaned it, had mining bios, and the standard bios or other custom bios don't seem stable, but it works with a rx560 bios i modded to rx550 clocks. thought i saw something spherically, iridescently marbled green-yellowgreen falling from it when putting it back together after cleaning but couldn't find the drop or where it may have dropped from, capacitors look ok. single fan version. has annoying blue led. requires 6-pin pcie power even though it draws less than 75w. | 45/35 |
| | |
| Cases | |
| | |
sama im01 | hohboy, man oh man, this case.... removing the front panel carefully according to the manual causes the top clips to break(so that's why it includes two spares), and is difficult to work in even though all sides but the back come off. can't put a discrete gpu in because it can't go into the slot all the way; something about the mobo tray being depressed or pci slot design prevents it. front left usb3.0 defective (blips then doesn't work) but the right one is functional. pci slot magnetic swinging screw cover hinge is a bit bent because the top and bottom packaging foam were switched in factory(foam cutouts did not align). matx mobo prevents bottom from having second fan if not want to risk mobo header bending. | 60/30 |
lian li lancool 216 black non-rgb model | opened the box and took out the inner accessory box on top but put it right back because became busy and never got around to using it. did not take out the case. almost literally open box. do not know state of tempered glass but jiggling box does not make broken glass sound. | 100/90 |
arctic p12 pwm pst 5 pack | 2 used in the sama im01, 3 unused | 30/25 |
| | |
| PSU | |
| | |
corsair sf600 platinum | 3 months use. powered the 12400 using integrated graphics, don't think total system power exceeded 150w from the wall. | 110/110 |
thermaltake tr2 430np | don't know if it was 2nd hand or not. used to power a windows xp office machine which was bought without one. Don't use more than 350 watts; here is a review of the unit showing why- https://www.hardwaresecrets.com/thermaltake-purepower-430w-np-power-supply-review/ its F-tier but would personally trust it in a system pulling less than 100 or so from the wall. one cable with 20+4-pin motherboard connectors one cable with 6-pin pcie connector one cable with 4-pin 12v connector one cable with 3 molex connectors two cables with 3 molex and 1 floppy connector one cable with 2 sata connectors one molex-to-sata converter | 20/5 |
cablemod black modflex EPS 4+4 pin 45cm extension | sf600 needs the extension to reach the mobo receptacle in the sama case | 9/9 |
| | |
| Peripherals/Accessories | |
| | |
hp zr24w + ergodepot J2 monitor arm | 60hz, 1920x1200, 24inch. 12 years use. ccfl backlight has been on for ~3.3 years. came with a scratch not noticeable when on most of the time. has smudges from over a decade of use, not trusting myself to clean it without scratching. includes J2 monitor arm (desk clamp), but makes it skew a little. when powered on, it knocks channel 6 out of the airwaves until it is turned off. flickers below 100% brightness. | 50+40?(90?)/50+20(70) |
tecknet um013 mouse | awful scroll wheel. defaults to the lower of the two dpi settings every time it loses power; does not save setting. 2 months use. | 6/3 |
redragon karura k502 rgb keyboard | 2nd hand. works, but did not verify all keys. | 20/8 |
presonus eris E3.5 studio monitors | were on my desk for 10 days and powered on at low volume for under an hour, may be low amount of specks of dust, and the speaker wire had been connected, but otherwise is as if you opened up a new one. didn't like the space they took up and preferred my headphones, but B&H would not take these back because i told them i used the included speaker wire. no joke. | 90/80 |
samson go mic | 2nd hand. works, good shape. usb condenser with omni/-10/cardioid switch and 3.5mm jack. has sticker covering the led to diminish the brightness. | 25/15 |
xbox 360 wired controller | didn't use it often, but owned it for a really long time. the left thumbstick has worn down, is low tension, and can drift slightly if off center to the northwest. | 10/4 |
asus xonar dx | 2nd hand. used for a few months in 2011 but was too close to gpu intake so put it away. | 30/18 |
logitech c600 webcam | model V-U0007 | 12/5 |
| | |
| | |
Summary | first number taken from recent reasonable hardwareswap/ebay sales and amazon(when first two no/little results) and second number what i'd pay for the item in question if I was someone else, based on what is known of the condition. Paid 1300+ for just the parts bought in the last year, so imo this is a super deal if you are in the area. | Total: 1299/1073 |

2023.06.02 15:21 Icy_Plenty_7117 Gearheads/car Dads unite!
After some comments on another post I figured I’d throw this up. All the fellow gearheads chime in. Tell me about your projects, or dream projects, your bitchin shop, if your kid is in to cars too etc.
I’m currently project-less, bills killed that for now. But in the past I’ve had a few diesel trucks that were farm/work trucks but I had some money put in them, I had a 1977 CJ5 with the 304 and 35” boggers, I had a static dropped squarebody c/10 with a 350/th400 that was eventually going to get turbo LS swapped before we found out my wife was pregnant after almost 10 years of trying and giving up (actually we found out she was pregnant after she was car sick after riding up to Pigeon Forge for the spring Road Run), my wife had a few custom trucks, a tuned and lowered Subaru Forester XT and currently has a lowered and tuned Fiat 500 Turbo.
My list of dream vehicles is long and all customized and I’m at work and don’t have type to type it all here, my old c/10 was really at the top of the list. My wife’s would be a CTS-V wagon or a Chevy SS (like a 2015 or so, the year isn’t important but 6 speed manual).
My daughter is only 18 months so who knows, but since both my wife and I are big time gearheads we are hoping she will be too.
I’ve never completely rebuilt an engine but close, my dad was a diesel mechanic for Marta in Atlanta and worked on cars on the side at home so I got it honest. I’ve never had a vehicle of mine in a shop, I do it all. Customs, repairs, etc. Side of the road, in my driveway. My biggest feather in my cap was me and a buddy changed the clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, throw out bearing and pilot bearing in my 2005 Dodge 3500 in a truck stop parking lot with a borrowed floor jack. The nv5600 transmission in that truck is over 500 pounds with fluid so it was a PAIN in a parking lot.
Share it Dads. Tell me your car stuff.

2023.06.02 15:07 Xethernety Important Achievement in Silicon Production Process for HPQ Silicon Using PyroGenesis’ PUREVAP Quartz Reduction Reactor
PYR.TO (ASK @ 1.10)
PyroGenesis Canada Inc. (
http://pyrogenesis.com ) , a
TSX30® and a Deloitte Canada Clean Technology
Fast 50TM high-tech company that :
- designs,
- develops,
- manufactures
- and commercializes
- advanced plasma processes and sustainable solutions which are geared to reduce greenhouse gases (GHG),
- confirms that, as announced earlier today by HPQ Silicon (“HPQ”),
- the PUREVAPTM Quartz Reduction Reactor (QRR) designed and built by PyroGenesis
- achieved successful laboratory validation of quartz to high-purity 3N+ silicon in one step.
As noted in HPQ’s news release, the results of an analysis of recent test samples from PyroGenesis’ PUREVAP QRR process carried out by
Balazs NanoAnalysis (a division of Air Liquide Electronics),
- a global high-tech analytical laboratory,
- confirmed that the PUREVAP QRR produced silicon from quartz in a single step
- with a purity exceeding 3N+ (99.92%).
“We are pleased to confirm the test results announced earlier today by HPQ”, said Mr. P. Peter Pascali, CEO and President of PyroGenesis.
“Collaboratively with HPQ, we have been working towards this goal for quite some time, and now with these independent test results our shared goal of creating a process that simplifies and optimizes the production of high purity silicon has been achieved.”
“The implications of a one-step process in the manufacturing of high purity silicon direct from quartz is significant, both from a cost benefit perspective as well as from a critical mineral optimization perspective,”
“This presents PyroGenesis with a unique and exciting commercial opportunity highlighted by
- (i) the strategic investment we have in HPQ,
- (ii) the possibility that HPQ will require additional PUREVAP QRR systems as a result of these findings, and last but not least
- (iii) our 10% royalty payment on HPQ’s eventual sales of the improved silicon.”
While the results of the analysis are highly encouraging, there is no timeline in terms of when HPQ will be in a position to
produce the improved silicon on a large commercial scale.
Working with PyroGenesis, HPQ will now carry out final adjustments, smaller tests, and a subsequent engineering study to determine the profitability of
producing the improved silicon on a larger scale.
Subject to this additional testing and planning, HPQ will then determine the number of PUREVAP QRR systems required for the construction of a full commercial plant.
As noted previously, HPQ believes that, based on what is known today,
- at least two PUREVAP QRR systems,
- with each reactor capable of producing 2,500 MT of high-purity silicon per year,
- would be required.
PyroGenesis and HPQ have estimated the cost of each PUREVAP QRR system to be at least $20 million.
PyroGenesis’ involvement in the development of high-purity silicon from quartz is part of PyroGenesis’
three-tiered solution ecosystem that aligns with economic drivers that are key to global heavy industry.
High-purity silicon is part of PyroGenesis’ Commodity Security & Optimization tier, where the recovery of viable metals, and the optimization of production to increase output, helps to maximize raw materials and improve the availability of critical minerals.
Silicon has been
identified as a critical mineral by many governments worldwide.
About HPQ Silicon
HPQ Silicon Inc. (
TSX-V: HPQ) is a Quebec-based innovative silicon solutions company that offers innovative silica (SiO2), silicon (Si) based solutions and is developing a unique portfolio of high value-added silicon (Si) products sought after by battery and electric vehicle manufacturers.
Silicon (Si), also known as silicon metal, is one of today’s key strategic materials needed for the decarbonization of the economy and the Renewable Energy Revolution (“RER”).
However,
silicon does not exist in its pure state - and must be extracted from quartz (SiO2)
- in what has historically been a capital and energy-intensive process.
With PyroGenesis, HPQ is developing:
- the PUREVAP™ “Quartz Reduction Reactors” (QRR), an innovative process (patent pending), which will permit the one-step transformation of quartz (SiO2) into high purity silicon (Si) at reduced costs, energy input, and carbon footprint that will propagate its considerable renewable energy potential.
- Through its 100% owned subsidiary, HPQ NANO Silicon Powders Inc., the PUREVAP™ Nano Silicon Reactor (NSiR) is a new proprietary process that can use material produced by the QRR as feedstock, to make a wide range of nano/micro spherical powders of different sizes and nanowires.
- Through its second 100% owned subsidiary, HPQ Silica POLVERE Inc., HPQ is developing a new plasma-based process that will allows a direct quartz to fumed silica transformation, removing the usage of hazardous chemical in the making of fumed silica and eliminating the Hydrogen Chloride Gas (HCI) associated with its manufacturing.
About PyroGenesis Canada Inc. PyroGenesis Canada Inc., a high-tech company, is a proud leader in the design, development, manufacture and commercialization of advanced plasma processes and sustainable solutions which reduce GHG and are economically attractive alternatives to conventional “dirty” processes.
PyroGenesis has created proprietary, patented and
advanced plasma technologies that are being vetted and adopted by multiple multibillion dollar industry leaders in four massive markets:
- iron ore pelletization,
- aluminum,
- waste management,
- and additive manufacturing.
- With a team of experienced engineers, scientists and technicians
- working out of its Montreal office,
- and its 3,800 m2 and 2,940 m2 manufacturing facilities,
- PyroGenesis maintains its competitive advantage
- by remaining at the forefront of technology development and commercialization.
The operations are ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D certified, having been ISO certified since 1997.

2023.06.02 15:07 Xethernety Important Achievement in Silicon Production Process for HPQ Silicon Using PyroGenesis’ PUREVAP Quartz Reduction Reactor
PYR (ASK @ 0.82)

2023.06.02 15:03 UltimateTraders 6/2/2023 Daily Plays MDB earnings good but 25% S guidance eh but down 30%? PD guidance slightly off and getting hammered! Didnt even try AI puts yesterday, I am waiting Unemployment rising, GDP slowing up, signs of a recession? Rates should still rise in 2 weeks and maybe July! UCAR still fire?!
Good morning everyone. I didn’t make any trades yesterday and I didn’t feel compelled to make them. AI did somehow spike near 37 from 30 after awful earnings, and I was debating but ultimately, I figured I will wait to trade because the market isn’t going anywhere and there is no one forcing me to trade. I still have my puts for July/August on stuff like CVNA RBLX PLTR DUOL I have 2 others. I was up on CVNA and RBLX at 1 time but I am down now. If you have read my briefings you do understand that rather than participate in a market that makes no sense to me, I will wait until it does. That is because I am not going along with the trend…
The market has clearly been up trending since October, and fiercely, while the data is very poor.
In 2020/2021 I went with the momentum because all the data supported this….
Record Sales [33% + year over year as we were closed during covid]
Record Earnings [25%+ year over year as wee were closed during covid]
Free money [literally people paid to stay home]
Interest rates of .125%
Commission free trading
Everyone was home trading and retail came into the market [it is now the case where retail is as much as 40% of daily volume
If we look at the facts now
Sales up 3% 1st quarter year over year
Earnings down 2.1% 1st quarter year over year
Money is tightening and banks do not have liquidity
Interest rates of 5.1% [We may see 1 to 2 more hikes!!!]
Recent GDP has fallen to 2% from 3
Unemployment has just ticked up to 3.7% from 3.5%
These are the facts. I am merely presenting the important data points so that you can see why, I do what I do. We cant control the market but we can choose to wait or not.
For me, I either wait for conviction that the market goes down…
3% in 2 days, down 8 out of last 10 trading days for a total of 4% or more
Or
We start getting sales growth 10-20% YoY and earnings 5-10% Yoy
If not, no problem, I cant be convinced. I am in 90% cash…
I by no means tell anyone what to trade, how to trade…and I am fine with anyone implementing their own strategy.. I merely do these briefings showing you an insight to what I am doing, so you can add to your repertoire. If your strategy is working, keep doing it, for sure!
For me, trading in a market where the stock price is moving in complete opposite direction of the facts.. is a recipe for disaster…
But once again, if your outlook is long term this is a blimp on the map..
GDP and inflation growth is a natural occurrence which means over time we will have record sales, record earnings…
I added S to plays. The growth is 70%. The guidance wasn’t as high as 80-100 like the past but they are punishing this, big time! This is a tech security play like PANW CRWD with growth. If you check my old briefings with CRWD I loved it at 100! Earnings were good, but not as good as some expected… ZS in the same field, also on “Plays” had good earnings and I loved it under 100 if you just type in ZS at ultimatetraders. Well… S is like CRWD and ZS the growth is great, they are losing money, as the others had, but it is getting pounded like they were quarters ago. MDB had very good earnings again.. I do like 30% growth, 30% growth guidance, they did revise up earnings, but 300-350X pe? Look if you check the briefings before I loved MDB 150 or less. I hated MDB 350 and up.. Well we are at 370 as it flies pre market… I may not open a trade on it, I might, it is a real company, they are a software business to business, but this is absurd! UCAR had an agreement with a company in Japan. It is a small Chinese motor company with no shares available. It is speculative but it is hot.. This was literally 2.50 and now near 13 in under 3 days!!! Trade with stop loss?? Maybe I get puts??? Let us see..
5 Trade ideas:
UCAR – I don’t blame anyone either way, I had to add this to plays, I did not want to long or short, but its on fire again today…. Maybe small bet on puts
S – I do like this company as it has growth prospects, I added it to plays because if it gets pounded, maybe I should get calls
MDB – As I wrote above, this is a very good company with good growth, this is a valuation issue
PD – A tech digital operations provider, earnings were solid, guidance iffy, but down 16% right now, I will watch, will this fall to 21-22??
GWRE – A software company for casualty insurers, this was a good short in 2022, it has hit 52 week highs, earnings were iffy, it has been in “Plays” does it sell off with momentum like OKTA yesterday?
