2022.02.07 22:38 Assbait93 I think the bus terminal at Rockaway Parkway is poorly designed
I’ve been taking the bus from there for several months now and I can tell you the way how it was designed is just not feasible. It seems like it was more so to store buses until the drivers next run but each place where each route stops takes up just one bus. At times if there is two or more buses back to back they wouldn’t fit by the curb for passengers. Then to make it worse the B82 sbs at some point will have articulated buses and how will it even fit if there is another bus queuing up before it?

2021.08.20 20:56 coffeeshopslut Rockaway Parkway - Canarsie - train to bus transfer?
Is there officially a free transfer between the L and the B6/B82? I've seen bus operators just wave people past the farebox and I got yelled at for dipping my card (unlimited, so didn't matter) - is this an advertised transfer?

2020.08.15 02:42 POKEGAMERZ9185 Bus Extensions that you Want and Why
Not too long ago, I posted something like this one on
nycrail. This time, I'm doing it with bus routes. I'll go first.
1 Extend the B82 SBS to Coney Island. Why this doesn't terminate at Coney Island and the local one does just bothers me. Coney Island is one of the more well known parts of Brooklyn as well as having the Boardwalk and the Beach and everything that makes Coney Island, Coney Island.
2 Merge the B41 and Q35 and separate the B41 into different branches. The B41A will run from Downtown Brooklyn to Rockaway Park, the B41B will run from Downtown Brooklyn to Bergen Beach and the B41C will run from Downtown Brooklyn to Breezy Point. The B41 and Q35 both run down Flatbush Avenue with the only difference being that the B41 serves Prospect Park and Downtown Brooklyn and the Q35 serves Neponsit, Belle Harbor and Rockaway Park in Queens. The reason for sending the B41C to Breezy Point is because there are no buses and Subways in Breezy Point so it only makes sense.
3 Extend the B82/B82 SBS to JFK Airport. It terminates in Spring Creek, which is very close to it. This can easily get people in South Brooklyn from as far as Bensonhurst to JFK Airport and with the B82 SBS, people can really benefit from this.
That's all for now. I want to see the extensions you have.

2020.06.30 17:29 POKEGAMERZ9185 Redundant Bus Routes
Does anyone think that these bus routes are redundant with each other.
1 B37 and B63: Downtown Brooklyn to Bay Ridge
2 B6 and B82: Bensonhurst to East New York/Canarsie.
What do you think about this?

2019.12.07 05:05 POKEGAMERZ9185 What If: South Brooklyn Extension V2.0
http://imgur.com/gallery/bnpJrDk OK so a few months ago when I started this series, I tried to make extensions for South Brooklyn that ended up not going so well. I then redid my South Brooklyn extensions and here's what happened.
1 The 2/5 got an extension to Kings Plaza running through Nostrand Avenue and Gerritsen Avenue.
2 The Rockaway Shuttle got an extension to Kings Plaza with certain A trains running there during rush hours going through the Marine Pkwy Bridge. Before U start complaining about the Q35 being a thing, please note that I have plans to reroute it to Breezy Point in Queens since not a single bus or train goes there.
3 The L got an extension to Kings Plaza and now serves the Bergen Beach and Mill Basin areas.
4 The 3 got an extension to Spring Creek Seaview Avenue with the 3 now serving the Spring Creek area. The 4 runs there late nights only. I also added an out of system walking transfer between the 3 and L on the Livonia/Junius stations. The Spring Creek station also allows the 3 to connect with the B82 SBS.
Please let me know what U think about these extensions on the South Brooklyn transit desert.

2018.01.14 20:32 Assbait93 Brooklyn Articulate Routes
So far to my knowledge the Brooklyn bus routes that are going to become articulated in the future is the B82 this summer, B35 this fall, B15 next year in 2019, and possibly the B8.

2017.12.10 03:37 Assbait93 Why Brooklyn doesn’t get articulated bus love?
I made a post on another subreddit and just discovered this. But basically Brooklyn has lots of bus routes that are severely crowded. For example the B82 and B6 are often so crowded that many passengers have to skip a few buses till they get one that isn’t so much full. I’ve always seen the articulated buses in Manhattan and the Bronx but I never understood why only those bouroughs. Their routes never had the same ridership as Brooklyn and even if s few did many others were in Brooklyn. Even now I just noticed that queens have gotten a lot of newer articulated buses on some of their routes but yet Brooklyn is just kept in the dark. I mean we have at least one bus route that is articulated but I mean it’s the only one.

2016.04.08 16:00 yugeness NYC: After the rally please, please CANVASS IN CANARSIE
There's going to be an official
canvassing event for the evening rush at the Rockaway Parkway terminal this evening. This is a really important opportunity to reach out to people in neighborhoods where there have been almost no events (Canarsie, East Flatbush, East New York). Rockaway Parkway is a bus (B82) ride away from the 'Flatbush' rally this afternoon
