2023.06.02 20:46 carriebradshaw2 Employment law government job…what are my next moves?

Hi, Happy Friday! I am looking for some career advice. I want to be able to create some goals for myself so I can motivate myself and feel like I’m working towards something, rather than just working.
I graduated law school May 2022, passed the July 2022 bar, and began my career September 2022. I joined a sole practitioner doing plaintiff-sided medical malpractice. For an array of reasons, this job wasn’t for me. So, I left.
I began a new job for my city’s government two weeks ago. I’m doing employment law (which is what I wanted to do when I graduated but did not find any good opportunities) and I already feel so much happier. The benefits are great, including student loan forgiveness after 10 years. If I stay the 10 years, I will be 35/36 years old…which is pretty great.
However, I don’t think I can stay in the government long-term. I want higher pay, my own office, social benefits, etc. I want more for myself.
I really like the work that my office does. I would like to do in-house employment law, but I’m afraid I’ve put myself in a corner by doing Agency work.
So, I guess I have the following 3 questions:
  1. How long do you think I should stay in government? Get out early or stay the 10 years?
  2. When I leave the government, what are the chances that my experience will allow me to have a solid in-house counsel job?
  3. Should I aim for my next job to be a firm rather than in-house?
TYIA. Any advice and/or insight will be so appreciated.
Here’s some additional information: - I live in a major city in the US. COL is insane but I have a rent stabilized apartment. - My law school is mid-tier. - My student loan debt is $90k. - My current job salary is $70k (Very low compared to my friends in private firms, but I really needed to get out of my last job). It will increase by $5k in 6 months. - I really just want more money. Lol. I don’t want to be stuck in government even though I really enjoy the work. My current job is with the Office of General Counsel, so I would really like a similar job but in-house. - I love my current job because I loathed court at my last one, haha.

2023.06.02 20:46 trnsandunorganized Another thought dump from someone raised in a poly household

So, this isn't the first time I've posted about this, but I deleted my first post after receiving some not so kind messages. Here's the bullet points of that post:
This is also sort of spurred by a lot of the comments I see from people who haven't been in my position, who may not understand the children's side of being raised around polyamorous relationships.
  1. COMMUNICATION:
You know how hard and complex poly can be for consenting adults who are diving into it? Multiply that x10 if you're introducing your children to your partners or enmeshing your partners in their lives. Children are not adults! They do not have the life experience you have, they do not have the vocabulary you have, they do not have the emotional intelligence you have. Even if you ask them to communicate how they feel, there is a good chance that 1) they can't articulate their concerns accurately, 2) they might be keeping some things to themselves in order to spare YOUR feelings, 3) their feelings will change and become more complex as they grow and get older.
Of course, this is dependent on how old your kids are, how involved your partners are in their lives, and how your cohabitation works, but after some soul searching I think that something that would have helped me greatly is having a 'safe space' away from my parent's poly dynamic.
I am not saying poly is dangerous. I AM saying there are a lot of things about the concept of polyamory in practice that can be overwhelming for a child.
It also made things difficult because (for example), if my mom's partner made me uncomfortable, I didn't feel like I could confide in my father, because I knew at the end of the night they were going to sleep in the same bed and we were all going to sleep under the same roof. I was constantly anxious and stressed and tense about who I could confide in, or whether or not my concerns were valid at all.
This kinda leads into my next point...
  1. CHILD SAFETY
And, this is a big thing.
like it or not, if you're introducing unrelated adults into your child's life and into your home, that will STATISTICALLY increase the risk of unrelated adults crossing your child's boundaries intentionally or unintentionally. Yes I am heavily sanitizing that sentiment. Yes I have personal experience, no I would not appreciate you telling me "well I'M super careful about who I let around my kids", because my parents also claim they were to this day.
No one wants to think their partner is capable of harming their child. But as an adult it will always be your responsibility to take the worst possibilities into consideration. If you are aware that it COULD happen, you will be better equipped to protect your child.
I know a lot of people love the idea that "well, this just means we'll have more people to love/support the children!!!" That's an incredibly idyllic way of looking at it, and I feel like it ignores a lot of the nuance and the sad fact that parents can have blind spots with romantic partners and their own children. Not to mention the fact that just because someone doesn't come out swinging and announce that they're a child predator does not mean they're a safe person to bring around your children. You cannot assume that people are going to be kind and have the best intentions with your children just because you love them and want them to be as involved with your kids as you are.
You cannot decide who your child will accept as a bonus parent, or who your child will view as a distant aunt, or who your child won't want to be around at all for their own reasons. And you have to give your kid the ability to make those decisions on their own, without pressuring them one way or another.
Just some things I've been thinking about based on the questions I received off that last post, helps to process when I post about it here

Ignition switch
Hi, Had anyone heard of the ignition switch failing on a 2007 Corsa? I originally thought it was the key but when the lad arrived he tested the wiring off the back of the barrel and one wire wasn’t giving signal. Also does anyone know if you can separate the switch from the barrel? Thanks

2023.06.02 20:45 Ecstatic-Welcome-939 Apologies, I’ve been posting a lot here lately, but I’m about to have my second baby(less than 3 weeks) and I guess I’ve got questions.

So I for sure don’t want to have any more kids any time soon. Originally, I was planning on getting fixed, but over the last few months I’ve been thinking about it a lot. I don’t really want to have surgery right after giving birth. Or have surgery to begin with. I’ve been thinking about the copper IUD instead but I’ve known people who’ve used iuds and had awful experiences. Mostly cases where the IUD shifted. The only experience I have with birth control is with the Depo Shot, and it was awful. I love being a mom, and I actually love being pregnant for the most part. There’s just something heartbreaking about the idea of getting fixed even if I don’t want more kids.
-What are your experiences with getting fixed or getting the IUD, or both? -Is there anyone who had tried the IUD first and wishes they would have just gotten fixed to begin with? Or vise versa -How does the IUD affect you during sex(TMI, sorry, especially for someone with a large partner)? -I know it’s different for everyone, but have you had the same period side effects as the depo shot with the Copper IUD? For those who’ve tried both. -Any other advice or experiences welcome, please.

2023.06.02 20:44 Saraeburd Question about adding a minor to an itinerary

I have already purchased flights. They cost me $67 round trip. I found out my niece is able to join. The app shows it’ll be $97 now and I figured oh well we waited. She is only 11 so I could not buy a ticket for just her because she is a minor. I called and they are quoting me $205 to add her. They said it cost money to link her to my itinerary. Then when I hesitated they suddenly had a $47 voucher to lower the price. I felt like it was possible I was being scammed because finding a number to cal in the first place took lots of digging.
does anyone know if there truly is a cost to add a minor to an existing itinerary?

2023.06.02 20:44 TyrannicalDuncery Is Cards4Cash broken?

I've heard bad things about Cards4Cash, like maybe they are a scam or poorly run.* But I'm having a different issue with them. Is their website just not working?
I tried to buy a $5 gift card from them today and it kept failing. I clicked the checkout button and it would just take me back to my dashboard. The item remained in my cart, my card wasn't charged, and I didn't get any notification. I tried this on 2 different wifi networks on 2 different devices on 4 different browsers 6 different times.
I did try to pay with a Visa gift card, because I don't trust these people with my real cards. Maybe that was the issue but, if so, they didn't tell me.
*-I'm already aware of this! They seem shady AF, I just wanted to see for myself. Feel free to go into how untrustworthy they may be but I would appreciate info on my specific question if you have any.

2023.06.02 20:43 huveldust How can I trust my absolutions are valid?

I've recently got back into going to confession after decades away. I didn't think I could make a good confession because of my habitual alledgedly grave sins, but a priest friend found out I was avoiding confession and has been working with me.
Basically he's told me he thinks I have greatly diminished culpability and not to beat myself up over it and constantly fear hell, and that the church doesn't want us living in fear. "Just try to maybe get it down to 39 times over the next couple weeks instead of 40" etc.
I told him I not only didn't think I could stop, but I also don't see how I could even want to stop or to even understand why I should want to stop. I've studied everything the church has to say on the matter and it genuinely doesn't make any sense to me. I said I know I could just be blinded by sin like Aquinas says that lust can do to you, but I can't honestly say I understand why it's so evil or that I really have any purpose of amendment other than to see if I can cooperate if God does a miracle.
He understood all this but absolved me nonetheless and basically told me not to stop receiving communion, even if I fall back into these sins and others between getting to confession - that in his judgment, none of my habitual sins are actually mortal.
I really hope this is true, but can I really trust that it is? I'm sure there are many priests that would disagree with this right? I want to be able to trust him that I'm not in mortal sin but it seems a bit presumptuous to think I can not even try to stop things that 99% of theologians say are gravely evil and just not even really worry about it and assume I'm always in the state of grace right? Then again, the whole point of confession is to trust the priest's judgment I would think, so if he says I have nothing to fear...

2023.06.02 20:43 Brief-Swim6756 Need some perspective on safety / procedure cultures.

Afternoon everybody, Instrument Technician here desperately looking for some insight from the community about the broader workplace cultures you encounter in industrial work.
So I spent 8 years as a navy nuke electronics technician, and that's where the majority of my electrical training has come from. I did a lot of medium voltage distribution type work, and lots of nuclear instrumentation calibrations/troubleshooting. Onboard the submarine, there was an incredibly strict safety, lockout/tagout, and electrical safety culture. Every time we did work procedures were out. Every time (and I mean every time) we opened a panel we had 100% complete arc flash gear. Every job that needed a tagout had the entire lockout/tagout procedure methodically followed.
So I've recently separated and accepted a job at a VERY small power plant. The job posting I responded to was "Instrumentation and Controls Technician", but in reality I'm more "jack of all trades" electrician, and there is only one other electrician that works alongside me. Our manager is the supervisor for both mechanical and electrical so its truly just us.
So my question: Is this place as bad as I think it is?
We very rarely do lockouts for electrical stuff. They open 440v panels to flick a switch or cycle a module. I've seen shift supervisors mark off lockout paperwork as hanging/cleared when no locks ever got hung.
We are routinely asked to install new electrical panels, rooms, or equipment. I have ZERO background in construction, but my coworker does. I was very much under the impression that you need to be licensed (or at least know NEC codes at all??) in order to do this sort of work. This has included work up to 5KV equipment. No schematics, no procedures.
There's basically zero preventative maintenance that goes on here beyond some checks required by the NERC. We just jump from broken thing to construction project. No procedures ever, no paperwork ever.
Is this normal? If I get another job is there going to be this much cowboy? I know the nuclear navy was a strict and over the top place when it came to safety and procedures but I was in NO WAY prepared of the amount of complete disregard for procedures, technical manauls, paperwork, lockout/tagout that i encountered here. Should I find another job? Do I just need to check my expecations?
And also yes management is 10000% aware of these things, they were personally present for many of these up to my boss's boss's boss.
I had to dig the arc flash gear out of an abandoned shipping container covered in dust for god's sake.

2023.06.02 20:42 FordMFingRANGER Fortnight 7 media key review

Video Game Review 7 keys
Title: Fortnight
Publisher: Epic Games
Genre: Battle royale
ESRB Rating: T for Teen
My Rating: 4.5
Primary Audience: younger audiences
Year of Release: 2017
Platform: PC, Mac, X box 360, X box 1, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, IOS, and Android
Trailer:
Fortnight is an animated 3rd person battle royale style shooter video game. Battle royale means you enter a lobby with a set number of people and you fight to see who is the last person alive. This is a very cool concept because it is more realistic than shooter games where you keep respawning because if you die you lose all of your progress which makes your life in the game more valuable. The aspect of Fortnite that differentiates itself from other battle royale games is that in this game you have the ability to build. This means that you can collect resources and build walls and ramps to help protect yourself from enemies or to provide cover as you attack other players. In Fortnight the game starts where 100 players parachute down onto an island. Once you land the players have to find weapons and collect building materials to use to survive. The game also has a way to gather all of the players left in the game to one spot so the game does not take forever. “The storm” is the name of this in game characteristic, It is a poisonous cloud that drains health that slowly closes in on the island forcing players to move towards the end location on the map. The end location is different in every game so not to create a predictable advantage for players.
The First Media Key: Balance
The first media key of balance applies to Fortnight because of the even playing field that the game has established. This game does a great job of providing an equal possibility to all players for winning. Because all the players start out with nothing and have the ability to go wherever they want on the map all the players have a chance at winning if they have the right skills. The game is also balanced in the sense that the game is constantly evolving through changes in the map, new cool weapons that they add to the game. Every few months or so the game developers change the map or add in new features to keep the game interesting and exciting.
The Second Media Key: Attitude Awareness
The second media key of attitude awareness applies to the game Fortnight in two different ways. The first message is survival of the fittest. If you are skilled at the game, you can turn any battle around and find victory in this game. Because of this message that the game conveys through how it is set up has let to players becoming incredibly good at this game. The second way that attitude awareness can be applied in this game is through recognizing what the game is advertising. The game often incorporates heroes from popular movies and TV serries into the game. The game has had refences to Star Wars, Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia, Batman, John Wick, the Avengers, Dune and many others. While by having these popular characters in the game they are helping themselves they are also simultaneously helping the media they are promoting.
The Third Media Key: The Dignity of the Human Person
It is difficult to argue that the third media key the dignity of the human person is upheld in this game due to the fact that the whole purpose of the game is to kill all of the other players in the game. This game can be extremely competitive which makes winning feel awesome but losing very painful. Because of the difficulty of this game players spend a vast majority of their time on the game losing which can cause players to be filled with rage and anger. That being said I believe this game to be harmless due to the animated and very fake look of the game. The game is purposely not designed to resemble the real world closely.
The Fourth Media Key: Truth‐Filled
Truth filled the fourth media key can be applied to Fortnight in the sense that the players are able to evaluate their opponent’s skill levels through how they play the game. The main sign of an opponent’s skill is their ability or lack of ability to build. Players that are able to build quickly and fluently are often the winners of games. Another way that this game can incorporate the fourth media key is through teamwork. Players can join teams with their friends and work together in order to win the battle royale. This communication and team work can relate to real world applications and friendships.
The Fifth Media Key: Inspiring
The fifth media key inspiring applies to Fortnight in the sense that the game teaches perseverance. Fortnight is an extremely difficult game to win that requires a great deal of skill obtained through practice. It is very common for a more skilled player then you to run up on you and absolutely demolish you. The frustration caused by this inspires and motivates players to continue to train their skills with the hope of someday being that player absolutely recking other players.
The Sixth Media Key: Skillfully Developed
The sixth media key skillfully developed doe greatly apply to this game. Since its release in 2017 this game has been consistently at the top of the charts. This game has even morphed into a sort of social ranking for young boys where if you are good at the game, you are cooler. The game developers have done an incredible job of creating the world of fortnight through the awesome graphic art used and the fun weapons some biased off real weapons and others entirely made up. This game has done an excellent job of adapting and creating now game modes and changing the battlefield layout. There are even memes about how when Fortnite incorporates video games characters from other games that the Fortnight version is better then the original.
The Seventh Media Key: Motivated by and Relevant to Experience
The seventh media key applies to fortnight is the sense that players are motivated by the hard goal of achieving victory and the glory that is associated with it. When the game was first getting popular it was common for players to actually post pictures of their wins on social media because it was deemed such a hard game to beat. Players are also motivated to do better then they did in the previous game they played trying to get closer to first place.
Fortnight is an extremely challenging but fun game to play. Personally, now I am not a huge gamer and prefer to spend my time outdoors or watching TV so when I play the game my skills are quite low which makes it less fun. In the past however I was pretty average and had a lot of fun playing the game with my friends. I think this is a very well-designed game and would give it a 5 out of 5 even though it is not my favorite game because I am not very good at it. The reason I am giving this game such a high score is because I can recognize how creative and well managed this game truly is and how awesome it is for people that are actually good at it. I believe this game is appropriate for ages 10 mainly because I don’t think kids younger then 10 should be spending a ton of time on video games but that is just my personal opinion.

2023.06.02 20:42 Cigarette_Tuna Questions on gender identity and what it even is?

Hey all,
Lately I've been having discussions with my girlfriend over feminism/lgbt ideas and they all have mostly been very productive. But the more I think, and the more I boil post modernist thought down, the more I struggle to even know what Gender even is. I've been looking my ideas up online and have been finding that most of my ideas are aligned with the idea of gender abolition.
I'm assuming, that depending who you ask, Gender comes down to either innate or socially imposed. And to me, either seem like they can be done away in the pursuit of equal rights. The innate arguments do not make sense to me. If Gender can be anything, or even multifaceted then it has to recognize some form of binary, bimodal, spectrum based thinking. But the problem with these distribution based forms of thinking is that there is no pure end. No one perfectly encapsulates femininity or masculinity and there will always be someone more or less masc/fem then any given individual. So by this notion every one is nonbinary as they do not exist in the extremes. But then there are those who consider themselves agender, which rejects the entire notion of the spectrum. Gender is then a box and they see themselves as outside it. But the box must be recognized for them to exist outside it.
So basically we are trying to create categories and boxes when we subscribe to gendered thought. I tend to think that if Gender roles were abolished then the idea of gender identities would also vanish. If you have nothing to compare a Gender against, then does the term Gender have any inherent meaning? I was raised to think that a man or woman can do or be anything, and if we follow this thought to it's extremes, then the idea of men or women begin to become inherently meaningless.
If we can remove Gender based discriminations, uplift everyone to an equal playing field, and allow any individual to perform any role or expression within society, then doesn't the distinction between genders become meaningless? Doesn't the basis of gender role categories implicitly reinforce the idea of what the gender identity is?
Then it seems to fall in the realm of innate identity, but sometimes I don't even know what that is. Some human meat machine running on biological framework that is being acted on by electrochemical systems acting within the biological framework. How can I ascribe Gender to that? Is there any biological traits in where Gender exists?
We want to do away with gendering colors, actions, behaviors, temperaments, objects, etc. So how can a Gender identity exist if we do not have anything to compare it to? If a man/woman/nonbinary can be, do or express anything, then what is the value of the label?
Okay. I get it, I'm rambling now. But I will end it with one question that I struggle to answer.
Without gendered terms, can we describe the terms what it means to be a man/woman/non-binary?
I ask this because I'm trying to avoid cyclical logic. Ex. "A man is a person who identifies, feels and knows they are a man." Cyclical logic with value to descriptive meaning.

2023.06.02 20:42 noelana- From important to unimportant

Yesterday night I was having a breakdown… your family usually automatically loves you. But to find someone outside of your family who genuinely loves you and enjoys every second with you, when you are the first thing they think of when they wake up and last thing they think of when they go to sleep… is so rare. Someone who looks at you a way no one else does, that even after the pass away, others tell you exactly that. “You have no idea how crazy about you he was. How he looked at you”. And suddenly… I’m not important anymore. No one wants to spend time with me like he did. No one looks at me and think “I missed her so much, she didn’t answer my call and I was worried about her”. No one answers my phone and says “hey baby! What is my baby doing?” When I cry, no one comes rushing to hug me kissing my forehead saying “don’t cry, I don’t wanna see you cry. I’ll get you anything you want. Just don’t cry”. 😔
One time when my husband was here, I got into fight with my brother over phone. He did something stupid and since we live far away, I couldn’t come in person and deal with that issue. We yelled at each other and I was so frustrated, he hung up and I started crying out of frustration. My husband hugged me tight and said “don’t cry, I’ll get you that potato holder for your books. Come, I’ll order it right now. Don’t cry”. It made me laugh right away. I loved reading and I wanted this holder for books which also happens to be used for vegetables. He fought with me saying he won’t let me have it in our bedroom because it’s for potatoes and not books. But when he saw me cry, he ordered it right away to stop me from being sad. It made me laugh in that moment and it melted my heart.
But now I am just unimportant. I can do anything I want, I don’t have to look back and think “are me and my husband busy that day?” Or “maybe I shouldn’t get it, what if he doesn’t like the colour?” Now it’s just me. I can sit all day in my home and no one would even think of me. I don’t matter anymore.

2023.06.02 20:42 Aeit_ Ultimate Edition on Steam - refund and Capcom link

Yesterday at midnight before release i bought Ultimate edition, because as majority of playerbase I got confused about skins.
I played for 1h and realized that everything is farmable, and 7700 tokens you can get a hat and sunglasses. Ultimate is hell of a scam for that price.
Im able to refund the game but my steam is Linked to Capcom, anyone knows what will happen? Stand alone DLC arent refundable but Ultimate edition is.

2023.06.02 20:42 Southern_Cost3920 How to understand the roles of SAHM/wife and breadwinner/husband

My husband and I seem to be having repeated arguments that I think have the same root cause: we have different opinions about our roles, which leads us both to have certain expectations. And then if those expectations aren’t met, one of us ends up disappointed/angry.
A little about us: I’m the SAHM to seven kids (age infant-15). For many years, I was doing all the housework/childcare/homeschooling because my husband was deployed. In a way, it was an easy set up. If there’s childcare or housework that needed to be done, I did it because there was no other option. Then my husband got a very demanding civilian job. There were times he didn’t even see the kids because he was working crazy hours. When he was home for one day in weekends, he was happy to bbq, so the food shopping or take the kids to the pool. Basically, we both worked our tails off at our respective jobs.
Now we have a different lifestyle. He works from home and has very reasonable hours. Our kids now go to school, decreasing my load significantly since I’m not homeschooling. So now have a chance to figure out how to be great partners.
But we are struggling. And some of the things he says makes me think we aren’t on the same page as far as our proper understanding of our roles.
In short- he says ‘as the breadwinner, I could say that I am responsible for zero housework/chores and that would be acceptable.’ He also says that any time I ask him to help out, he does it is a gift. Anything he does around the house ‘for me’ is a gift. His main argument is that I don’t bring in money. So if I can’t help him with his job, anytime he’s helping me with mine should be considered extra. I don’t think I ask for too much. I like my role as a homemaker and I think I do a pretty great job. And I love my role as a mom! I’m feeling discouraged in my role as a wife with these kinds of opinions being repeated any time we disagree about housework.
As Catholics, what’s the proper understanding of this SAHM/breadwinner dynamic. I’d love to hear your thoughts or any resources you think might help.

2023.06.02 20:41 big_sad_jellyfish Minutes before we were totally fine & about to call, then I’m blocked from everything: how do I move forward?

I (19F) told myself I’d go in at least 1 date this summer because I felt like I was ready to date again after past experiences and (because I’m a hopeless romantic that writes love notes like a Victorian woman writing to her lover as she’s dying from consumption). ANYWAYS- I go back onto dating apps, this time taking it with a grain of salt because I’ve had a lotta bad luck with them before (will explain later), and I’ve seen some unhinged behavior on there.
I match with a guy, let’s call him… Freddy Fazbear, who’s within my age range and not too far from me. His profile had funny jokes and he dressed cool, and he was cute so I was like fuck it lets talk to him. He was really fun to talk to! We had a lotta similar interests and we had a similar sense of humor and memes we liked, etc.
We talked for a few days leading up to a week and we moved over to Snapchat during that. We were complimenting each other and he just seemed super sweet! On Tuesday, I was like “omg we should call!” (That’s like my next step in romance okay 😭) and he was all on board, saying how we definitely should and that he’d love to.
We planned to do a really short call at around midnight because he has a late shift at his job. I’m practically nocturnal and so was he, so I was fine with staying up to wait.
He never called.
HOWEVER, the next day he said he fell asleep because it was like a near 10 hour shift, which I totally understand that, but I was still anxious that I said something wrong that’s turn him away. He reassured me I didn’t do anything wrong or ghosted me on purpose and whatnot.
So I’m like, wanna try again? And he was like “yeah for sure! We’ll see how I feel after my shift.” I then told him there’s no pressure if he’s too tired to call and should rest.
Hw seemed all on board again, but just wanted me that he’s a little awkward and more introverted and I’m like no prob! And then he complimented how easy I was to talk to and that I’ve been his favorite person to talk from the dating app so far and I said the same.
So I’m up at around midnight on June 1st (having a mini pride celebration with my online friends since I’m a raging bisexual lol). I asked him if he’s up for a call and he was like “yeah for sure! :D ) I then do if he’d wanna call on snap or if he had a discord.
He said he did, so I sent a screenshot of my profile and he said he added me- and for some reason it wasn’t showing up as a friend request. I thought it was just my phone acting up, so I asked for his username, and I added him.
I told him on snap that I added him and he was like “ok!!”and I saw that the request said it was pending. Kinda odd it says that if he supposedly added me first right?
I go back to snapchat. Then it said “Add friend” which I thought was a glitch so I tried and it said there was error and couldn’t add. I start to get a little anxious and even more confused.
I went to check the dating app as a last resort, he unmatched me- went to check discord and friend request pending, snap still not letting me add him as a friend. Then it all pieced together:
Did he- just block me- on EVERYTHING?
Right before we were supposed to call? And minutes before he seemed excited to call me?
Mind you, we both talked about how much we hated getting ghosted or dry texters and was reassuring me after the first time missing the call that it wasn’t on purpose and apologized a lot and whatnot.
I know it’s only been a week or so of us talking and I’m not like DEVASTATED, but I’m still anxious, confused, and kinda pissed off. I know I’m not entitled to closure or answers from him, or am I? In my past relationships I’ve been ghosted out of the blue when it seemed like everything was fine, or Id have someone initiate dates and conversations then suddenly say how they “aren’t ready for a relationship” and cut me off. I completely understand that if someone realizes that they aren’t ready for a relationship like they thought, and end things. I’m just- noticing that this keeps happening to me. I’m told how easy I am to talk to, and how they love spending time with me- then boom. They’re gone.
To anyone out there reading this, how should I move forward? Why does this keep happening? Am I the problem?

2023.06.02 20:41 TimeKnifeChan Looking for Red Glasses for MSD

I just got a ResinSoul Mei MSD (42cm) and I'm trying to find red glasses for her. I'm prepared to make my own if I must, but I'd rather focus on making her other accessories. Does anyone know where I can find red glasses, preferably rectangle frames? I'm also OK with purple but red is preferred.
Her face seems to be about 4cm across so I'm not sure if a 4.5 cm pair will fit properly. I'm worried it would be too large. The only pair I've found so far is 4.5 cm and would take almost a month to arrive.
I'm based in the midwest in the united states if location helps.
Thank you for any help!

At San Diego Comic-Con in July, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson had other people raising eyebrows when he said that his long-awaited superhero debut in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse would be the beginning of “a new era” for the DC Extended Universe naturally followed: What did he mean? And what would that kind of reset mean for the remainder of DCEU's roster, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the rest of the Justice League, Suicide Squad, Shazam and so on.As
