So I was running a couple of one-shots since I'm new to the game and DMing and I have these dice I got from the essentials kit, they almost always roll 16 to 20(luck I guess). Sometimes if somebody is being really annoying at the table I will pull out the dice and roll to hit, so its really funny when one of my players says ''This battle seems too easy'' and then proceeds to get crit. My players don't know about the special dice. That's why I call it EXECUTIONER'S DICE, because It can kill any of my player if I want to. However, I mostly use a different d20, but if things seem too easy, BOOM NAT20. So overall, DMing seems fun.

I’v had about 3 interviews for this job the last being a peer interview on zoom. A week later they emailed and ask me to come in an shadow for 4 hours. I’m assuming this isn’t a traditional interview but just for me to see the work that’s being done and how I fit in. Im a new grad and this is literally my dream job so I’m nervous. Is this a sign they’re going to hire me after this shift, is this kinda like a try before you buy for me ?? What have been you experiences with this time of shift in terms of getting an offer?

In the past I have been able to take cuttings from plants like strawberries, tomatoes, rosemary, and thyme put them in either water or soil with or without a rotting hormone and have a new plant. I have 2b dense, but fine wavy hair with regular porosity. I use Rizo's curl cream and then use Herbal Essences Totally twisted curl boosting mousse which has been my routine for a while now with consistent results (finally!). But it has been discontinued and I heard that people don't like the new formula. I am on my last bottle and am looking for a similar mousse that can keep/enhance my curl because my waves easily can get limp. I don't mind getting a cast, I actually prefer it (I find it satisfying to scrunch out the cast lol) thanks in advance anyone!

I’m still pretty new to all this. I’ve been taking 100mg of zonisamide once daily since having my second seizure. Today I logged onto my patient portal for my neurologist’s office and realized she had instructions for me to increase my dose to 100mg TWICE a day after 2 weeks, which I did not do. Was not aware of this. I’m so far past that mark at this point and haven’t had another seizure, so I’m just going to continue with the 100mg once daily like I’m doing. Would rather not put more pills into my body if I don’t have to.
In fact, my only two seizures in my life have both been nocturnal and have come after weekends of excessive alcohol drinking. I’m no doctor and I’m not trying to self diagnose, but is medication really necessary for me (rhetorical question)? Seems like when I don’t drink I don’t have seizures. So why are they trying to pump me up with more pills here?
Is this going to fuck up my timeline to get my license back though? It’s supposed to be suspended for 6 months. Since I (accidentally) didn’t follow the doctor’s treatment instructions, is the 6 months going to restart once I get on the “proper” amount of medication?

Female athletes (women and girls) are more likely to get a concussion than male athletes. The leading explanation is that female neck muscles are typically weaker than those of males. The problem with a weak neck is that when you fall, even if you don't immediately hit your head, a weak neck may cause your head to "whiplash" to the ground. Your head will also tend to wobble more if it is struck, or if the body is impacted in some way.

My take (fyi I'm a guy): I suspect that doing neck-strengthening exercises, especially if you're new to grappling, would help reduce the risk. A few years ago I went back to judo after taking many years off. I immediately went back to sparring, since I was "experienced". I think this was a mistake. My head would get "rattled" from just falling to my butt from a trip. There were several other cases where I would correctly land on my shoulder and arm, but my head would continue downwards into the mat. I think my weak neck muscles played a role. But when I started BJJ, my first instructor made us do neck exercises (chin-to-chest reps, ear-to-shoulder reps). I think that was a good idea, even though no other instructor I've trained with since then has taught that.

Given his breed, he is generally protective so being honest I would not keep him with other pets. However, he is extremely loving with humans. Nothing like a good belly rub! He primarily was outdoors. I trained him a lot of good commands so he’s very obedient and a fast learner so if someone takes him in I can teach them what I taught him. He loves to play soccer! I just had my dark knight of the soul experience over the last couple weeks. Going through a very tough divorce, and becoming more one with my intuitiveness and energies.
I just got a brand new tarot deck. It’s the Urban Tarot deck (it’s beautiful). It’s probably a bit advanced for me but I was drawn to it. I’ve never done a ritual before, but I saged the entire house, exiting all negative energies and attracting all positive energies.
Last night, I got this random, high pitched, muffled tinnitus in my right ear which I’ve learned could be early signs of clairaudient things. I ended up trying to meditate (eyes closed and covered)- and I ended up seeing (in a bright light flash) a butterfly flapping their wings back and forth through the front of my eyes. I immediately knew it was my ex wife’s father. I didn’t get any message per-se, but the fact it happened is new.
I saged my new deck and got acquainted a bit with it. While I was shuffling the new deck, my Alexa said “hmm I don’t know that” randomly. I asked what it last heard and she said “pause”
I looked up in the app, and heard the audio recording. It is literally an EVP to a tea saying “Alexa pause.” You can hear it clear as day, exactly like what an EVP sounds like.
It’s a voice I do not recognize. At first I thought the TV set it off, but it is very clearly not that based on the recording. I wish I could share the recording.
What do you guys think this means? Should I pause on the deck a bit?

I had a tiktok draft from about 2 years ago i don’t remember the audio but it was a transition type video. I recorded it on a day i was feeling overwhelming dysphoria about my hair and promised myself i’d finish it when i was allowed to cut my hair.
I got a new phone at the start of the year but i kept my old one because i planned on keeping it to give to my sister when i finished the transition.
Well i got bored and was messing around on it trying to fix the screen isssues i was having ( ghost touches and screen stopping being responsive to touch) I decided to try factory resetting the phone to see if it would do anything. It worked but it deleted the tiktok app and when you delete the app all your drafts get deleted.
I am pretty much there in convincing my parents to let me cut my hair and how i won’t even be able to do a comparison or even finish the promise i made to myself. It sounds so dramatic but i literally kept myself alive because i wanted to finish it. I wanted to have something to remind me that it was going to get better. And now it’s gone and i can’t get it back.

I'm not particularly wealthy, and very slowly I saved up little by little to treat myself with a new Omega this year, for my 27th birthday. I love their design, the dials, the robust feel of a Planet Ocean in particular, but also the casual style of the Aqua Terra.
However, I prefer being cautious and "do my homework" as per what I'm getting into with any expensive purchases, so I gave a call to a watchmaker I trust. They have extensive experience, and all the necessary certifications regarding Omega movements, and so far I found them to be trustworthy and therefore I asked them what they recommend out of these two movements, what to except from them regarding reliability and accuracy, service costs, how long parts will be available, etc. etc. etc.
They told me that in all honesty, they couldn't recommend either, or Omega at all, ever since they switched to their Co-Axial movements. I can't really remember or understand the technical reasons, but they elaborated on what they encountered with even 8800's that weren't that old but already required a service, and I was quite shocked to hear such critical opinion to outright avoid the brand whereas I couldn't really find horror stories (apart from one dude buying a Seamaster 300M 8800 used that had been abused pretty badly, and stopped a while later, and he had to spend a fortune to get it serviced).
I spoke to another Omega watchmaker today who confirmed that while the early 8500's encountered issues with parts wearing in unexpected ways and had to be revised and changed by Omega to fix those issues, however he couldn't (or wouldn't) elaborate on any known issues with either the 8900 or the 8800

I'd like to ask each and one of you who might have some in-depth information or experience regarding these two movements:
1) Are they reliable? If not, then what are the most common causes of issues with these movements?
2) Can I buy a "lemon", so to speak: I live quite far away from an Omega Boutique, and I'd also hate to buy a watch only to have it either serviced or replaced within warranty only due to a bad draw of luck
3) I'm extremely careful with my watches, and how/where I wear them, where I put them down if not worn, how I operate everything on them, especially the crown. Now, is there a way for my Omega Boutique to haze me, and pin a known issue of these movements onto the owner as an "owner must've done this" or "owner must've done that" type of situation just to avoid fixing the issue within warranty, and make me pay for it?
I'd love to own an Omega, but frankly, they raised my doubts about what to expect and whether it could be a nightmare, or a carefree owner experience over the long run

I'm house shopping, and I'm having some trouble understanding / estimating what assessments will look like for new construction or rebuilds (retaining prior structure's basement foundation) in Nassau County.
Many of the new constructions that have recently sold (say 1-2 years ago), when I look them up on the county tax website, have exemptions for new construction / new home improvement value. Is this because of the "The Assessed Value for Class I residential properties (excluding new construction and renovations) cannot be increased by more than 6% per year or 20% over 5 years."? Because, when I look it up on the county website, "Value added by new construction or renovation is not limited," which seems to imply that assessments will immediately reset close to the transaction / sale price.
Or is what I'm observing part of the Home Improvement Exemption (HIEX)? - "The exemption will be phased in over an 8-year period (with the 9th year having no exemption), and does not require the homeowner to file an application. But all improvements need to be completed in time to be published on the roll released in January 2023." Which means only recent builds will benefit from this phase in, and no more new builds?
For new construction, should I assume that assessments will be adjusted up to the sale price immediately (when the county gets to it: 1 or 2 years), phased in per the HIEX (~7-8 years), or longer (phased in per the 6% per year and no more than 20% over 5 years)?

This old phone jack makes my nightstand jut out and I unscrewed it to remove it. Do we need to cap off all the wires or just wrap in electrical tape?
Does anything get trimmed? It’s so much wire.
