What is the best way to get the tire off a deep section wheel? I have HED 6/9 and I have no trouble putting the tires on but taking it off is such a pain. I tried sticking tire levers in but the tire won’t come off the wheel because it’s so tightly attached.

2023.06.02 20:45 Justalittletoserious Destroying people at cons
Today I went to a Con and there where a couple of rigs With games like GTSport, Forza Horizon 4 and WRC 9 (only a single map was available)
Standing in line I saw people that couldn't even keep the wheel straight on WRC9 and they where crashing all the time doing a 4 minute stage in 12 minutes. When my turn came i did the same stage in 3 minutes and 42 and people looked at my like some kind of God. I know that I'm actually shit in rally games but this experience made think that probably I'm too arsh with myself. Have this ever happened to you?

2023.06.02 20:43 btcywtsitw9 Coming back from an accident
I was in a bad car accident the other day and came out of it mildly injured. Because of it all being a blur I don’t know if it was my fault. I already had driving anxiety. I had been through so many terrible things from my brakes going out on me twice in two separate cars, an animal running under my car, almost getting T-boned by a huge truck, another huge truck almost merging on to the highway right on top of me with the left lane full of cars, and my car completely losing traction multiple times in the rain despite driving slow. I’ve conquered so much a part of me feels like I could possibly push through this, while another part of me feels like this could be my final straw that leads me to never driving again. I don’t think I’ll know till I have my car back and I’m behind the wheel again. The thing is, I don’t really have a choice. I have to get to work or rent isn’t paid. I have already been diagnosed with PTSD for other things, there’s no way this incident will be excluded. I remember thinking I might die as it was happening. Any advice on bouncing back?
Edit cause I just thought of it, my job is not close enough to my home to walk or bike ride.

2023.06.02 20:42 Moroltoo I need inspiration for new rims
| || |
I recently bought this ‘22 BMW 320i touring (G21) M sport. Im really happy with this car, and the carefully selected options it has. The current rims are going to be used in the winter as I switch every season for summewinter tires. submitted by Moroltoo to BMW [link] [comments]
Now I am looking for some nice wheels for the summer. Im interested in the 18” 790m rims. These rims weren’t originally installed on a 320i m sport. Anyone have an idea if this will fit? What could be an alternative rims that I might have overlooked?

2023.06.02 20:38 notsocialwitch Planting native plants/perennials on road dividers and planters around the city as opposed to annuals
I have loved driving in Burlington city due to the rich color of plants that come in on their roads in summer. The Dividers on Brant driving all the way to Lakeshore and all the beautiful planters nearer to lakeshore make it exceedingly beautiful.
I have been researching more on native plants and perennials and the whole redoing of plants every year seems excessive especially on tax dollars? Could the city not tie up with nurseries / do a one time perennial and native plants install which will keep them coming up every year and also need lesser amount of watering and create more awareness among people to do support native gardening?
Being a avid gardener it does get expensive ($$$) doing it every year.

2023.06.02 20:38 Necessary_Test3380 Keep mounting the curb at the works car park
| || | submitted by Necessary_Test3380 to CarTalkUK [link] [comments]
Really struggling with this , I am by no means a pro driver however I am generally a confident driver ..
- I’ve been driving over ten years with extensive mileage as part of my jobs
- I’ve not had any accidents, prangs etc
- fully confident parking , reversing general manoeuvres
- I drive trailers and long wheel base vans in my current role with zero issues in often really busy and tight spaces
For months I’ve been driving my car ( a small Mazda 3 hatch back ! ) into the works car park of which the entry is a tight narrow left bend with zero issues .
One morning I miss judged it and ‘ kerbed it ‘ horrible noise and since then it’s sheer pot luck wether I do the same thing every morning . I have tried different approaches going wider, hugging it tighter . It always ends in me Mounting the kerb, I’ve got thick skin so I am not embarrassed but I am genuinely a bit disconcerted.
I actually spent some time on a Saturday morning practicing driving left tightly in an empty car park . Trying to learn exactly where my front wheels are .
It’s as though I can not judge where my front wheels are in relation to this particular tight bend over the bonnet .
I’ve had a passenger with me and they lean out of the window and say I am too far over to the right but when I listen to them and tuck it in tighter it still results in mounting the kerb .
In the big van I have no issues with this same corner ?! Has anyone else experienced something similar ? Why can I suddenly not tackle this one minor corner I face daily ?!
What can I do ? I might have a word with the security guard and see if he will let me practice for a while going in and out of there on my day off I will get the piss taken out of me though lol

In the weapons compendium and in the weapon wheel, the stats on my weapons have grayed out parts. 2023.06.02 20:29 bikecuriousatx The Bike Curious Ride - Sunday June 4 - 6PM - Mueller Hangar
The Bike Curious Ride meets every Sunday, in the parking lot on the west side of Browning Hangar (between Airport Blvd and the Hangar), currently at 5:45pm with wheels down at 6:00pm!
Our start time is adjusted seasonally.
We visit parks, parking garages, bakeries, and convenient stores as we ride around appreciating art. We typically ride about 10-15 miles, not too many hills, but you never know.
Note that this ride is a no drop ride, meaning everyone sticks together, and no one gets left behind. All skill levels are welcome. This Sunday, June 4th, our end stop is at El Chilito ( 2219 Manor Rd, Austin, TX 78722 ).
WHAT YOU NEED: Lights, Locks, Water, Wheels, an ID, money for food and drinks, and your friends. HOW: Social Cycling Austin rides AS traffic and NOT AGAINST it. We stop at red lights, yield the right of way and let cars pass as best we can. We don't block intersections. We are nice to both our fellow riders and the other traffic on the road. LISTEN TO the volunteers helping to lead the ride. They are some nice folks and have you best interest in mind. If you have any questions about the rules, we suggest you check here: http://bicycleaustin.info/laws/austin.html REMINDER: The goal has always been to create a safe environment for all riders, but we cannot control, nor do we desire to, every rider's behavior. We promote personal responsibility, and it is each rider's responsibility to take care of themselves, and if they choose to ride with us, then they accept those risks inherent in riding a bicycle with a large group of other people riding bicycles.

2023.06.02 20:28 KA12293 Ceramic Wedding favours
I'm an amateur ceramicist and I'd ideally like to make something that I can give to our guests.
I'd like to give something thrown on a wheel as opposed to hand building since it'll be easier for me overall to make a large quantity (IE 80 people) of them. Pottery relaxes me so I can imagine turning to this when I feel stressed with wedding planning.
But in general, yay or nay? I'm seeing a lot of people foregoing favours all together or giving something consumable like snacks. But maybe our guests would appreciate this if they knew it was made with love by the bride!
If yes to something I make (since it'll have the personal touch), what should I do? I was originally thinking bud vases but now I'm wondering if only the women will appreciate it (these could have small flowers and can also act as decorations at the tables!). Was also thinking shot glasses too but I'm not much of a drinker. But I do recognize that that would be something everyone can appreciate so I'm not opposed. A tiny jar with some food inside like M&Ms? I thought of ring dishes too but again, maybe that's something only the women will like.
Lastly, our initials and date of the wedding, if I decide to include it, will be at the bottom so it's not visible and therefore they can display it at their homes without worrying about decals showing lol

2023.06.02 20:21 jackattack1308 Floor loot on mobile is bugged
| || |
Stackable items like bolt tips, runes, arrows etc are using their individual price and not the stack price when using the highlight tool on mobile. The onyx bolt tips should be showing as orange which is for items 50k plus, but they're showing as blue which is for items 5k plus. This is due to them using they're invidivual price of 8,321gp and not the stack price of 83,210gp. I've also tested this using other stackable drops too and it's the same outcome submitted by jackattack1308 to 2007scape [link] [comments]
2023.06.02 20:20 veganqueen16 Would these be an upgrade?

Hi! I received these bushings in a grab bag of skate items I got on Craigslist. Mostly I wanted the wheels in there, but took the other stuff that was included. Since these don’t have any markings, I’m wondering if they would be an upgrade from what I currently have which is the stock beach bunny bushings. Any thoughts? 2023.06.02 20:19 Far-Blue-Mountains To replace the wheel bearings, or not...
1996 Maxima GXE, 257,xxx miles. Whatever dingleberry had it before me, put the calipers on BACKWARDS. Left on the right and vice versa. So it f-ed up the rotors and pads.
So I'm replacing all that.
I'm thinking for its age and miles, I should replace the wheel bearings. I don't have any of the usual signs. Noise and steering, but I do have breaking issues. I just can't imagine why!
In wet conditions, I have to be careful when braking or it will lock up. It does that in dry conditions but wet is worse. I'm thinking it's because the brakes are shot.
** So how much crap is it to replace wheel bearings? I've done it before but it was on my old '77 Firebird a lifetime ago. I've done a lot of work on cars but wheel bearings I've had little experience with and very rare for me.
According to Car Fax, the rear bearings/hub was replaced Dec. 2015 at 236,430 miles. 8 years and 21k miles ago so those should be fine but there's no record for the front. I do know that doesn't mean anything. It's only what's reported.

2023.06.02 20:19 unstable-banana My bf (28m) canceled my (31f) birthday plans because I got mad at him for leaving his one wheel out. What do I do?
God, this is going to be word vomit.
We have been together for 7 ish years. We are not married or engaged, just living together with our dogs.
It was my birthday Wednesday but we had no plans to celebrate because he had booked a Vegas trip for us for the weekend. This would’ve been my birthday present.
Wednesday night, I felt like having a nice dinner anyway just because it was my birthday... so I took us out to a nice (expensive) steak house and treated us both. It was great.
Today, we are supposed to be getting ready to pack for Vegas. I found his one wheel on my Burberry purse.... I normally don’t care for materialistic things so this is my only fancy purse.
I’ve gotten upset many times before about him leaving out the one wheel because it is very heavy and covered in mud. I’ve tripped on it. Its not fun hitting my shin on it. And today, I find it resting on my purse.
So at this point I’ve tired myself out from asking for him to put it in the closet. I got very upset and said stuff like “how many times have I told you, what if I ruined something nice of yours,” etc.
He called me names and left the house and texted me that vegas is canceled.
Side note: To be fair, I nag at him A LOT. He doesn’t put things away after using them. Its just not fun cleaning up after someone else. But I take accountability because nagging doesn’t help. Just makes him feel like shit.

2023.06.02 20:17 wa__________ge Mud race advice
Hi all, the race I am participating in tomorrow looks like itll be muddy. (yes im okay with ruining my old wheel bearings)
I currently am on pathfinder pro 42's but theyre an extremely tight fit to my frame (open up). Especially the rear wheel. Given the likely muddy conditions I dont think running these will be an option. It will likely gunk up on my frame and lock up...
I am planning to run to the store to pickup some new tires today, what do you recommend for conditions like this? Think smooth farm roads, not coarse or sharp gravel, but penut buttery mud.
Would love to hear tire and width recommendations.

2023.06.02 20:17 bmarsh1295 2017 Q5 Stiff steering - EPS Module or Steering Staff/Rusted U-Joint
I noticed around March that my steering wheel would stiffen up and talked to my mechanic who suggested it’s probably the electric power steering module in the rack. I should mention that he didn’t do any tests on the module, not even a computer read. That was just his thought and then quoted me 3-4k USD. I decided to use some penetrating oil on the exposed u-joint (I live in the northeast US so I’m dealing with a lot of snow, ice, and salt on the roads for at least a third of the year) which seemed to help a lot. The stiffness has returned, so my next step (I think) is to probably replace the steering lower steering shaft but wanted to check before I did.
My question is wouldn’t there be a fault code associated with a faulty EPS module? Or at least something on the dash? Considering neither of those occur, my gut instinct tells me it’s the u-joint but I don’t want to replace it only for my mechanic to be right.
Does anyone have experience with this or a similar issue? I would obviously prefer a $350ish part that I can replace myself than the 4 grand on an electronics replacement. Thanks in advance.
