2023.06.02 21:19 SouBu95 Comprehensive Story/Lore Play Order
Disclaimer: This entire post is an opinion, not definitive in any way shape or form. One of my biggest gripes with PGR's story-telling was how all-over the place it was. After watching and reading a lot of the side content, I can confidently say that the content is there, it's just presented poorly. So I made a list of the order in which players might want to play the game in order to get maximum enjoyment out of the story as well as comprehension of the world-building. I also separated it into various acts so that people can enjoy the story episodically if they wish.
Note: names of the scenes can be found in the codex. I also linked some videos, so credit goes to the creators of those videos. I named the arcs myself teehee. Comprehensive PGR Story/Lore Play Order

Let me know in the comments if find any mistakes. The biggest problem was continuity with side events (for example, Lee Palefire and Sofia in Border Pact but he switched over to the Entropy frame at the end of 10 when he met Sophia). I hope you enjoy the story like I did!

2023.06.02 21:19 Whorsorer-Supreme Currently on 10mg diazepam x2 a day, searching and searching for hopeful posts but finding overwhelming amounts of the opposite, i don't see a way out other than the true end...(please don't feel scared reading this, i am exceptionally broken and i've always been a POS)
I relied on xanax a little too much in 2020, when the anxiety was just so high. I truly don't recall going through withdrawals despite that. It was when i started taking finasteride for hair loss that my mental health really started to decline...
My hair was/is such a big part of my identity and i still stopped after the doctor who prescribed confirmed that it can make depression and anxiety worse...
I've been prescribed 1mg xanax to take 3 times a week since late 2021-late 2022.
I had times where I took them almost daily, running out and having to wait a week or teo and i still didn't feel major withdrawal symptoms... just a little sweatier and more stimulated than usual...
I asked to switch to valium because i wanted to move away from using xanax as a crutch, and i know that valium is less potent/prone to abuse...
I took all the valium in december and started to feel derealization and just... off while learning a really hard job and i came clean to my doctor about my inconsistency/dependency(i also mixed xanax and alcohol more times than i wished. Not daily but not rarely either)
I'm currently having to find a job but i have 0 confidence in myself and I'm so depressed, i was planning on asking a doctor to lower my taper by 1mg but I'm in the most wretched state ever...
I have adhd, my thinking has always been so rigid and my mind is and always has been so closed off that I'm scared to death how I'll be when im tapering.
I found solace that 10mg isn't too high of a dose, but the more i try to find posts about hope, i am shocked at just how many people experience such horrid experiences as they're reaching the final stages of their taper.
I'm honestly thinking more and more about how to leave this world in the least painful way, because I just can't. The Ashton manual mentions that some people have brains with lower amounts of GABA receptors and I don't know. Anxiety is only one of my mental health issues and i don't have time to worry.
I also have adhd and my meds make the anxiety worse and I've seen numerous posts that people's adhd has remained worse after cessation and i just feel like there's no reason for me to go on anymore.
I would still have so so much trouble finding a job and functioning as an adult without benzos as a factor and all of this feels like there's no way out except the true way out.
I call the suicide hotline almost everyday and im thinking more and more of how to arrange my things when i die

2023.06.02 21:16 reviveeverquest2023 Insecure about getting older
I’m still fairly young (26), but feel so behind in life. I didn’t finish college, got married young (at age 21) and just kind of stagnated for years after that… and feel like I still am. I was already unsure about what I wanted in life back then, but it seems like it was fine because I was so much younger. But I just haven’t progressed. I’m trying now but feel like I am constantly flipping back and forth between “ideas” of what I could do with my life, I just feel lost. I actually like the age that I am in theory, and think it would be easier to deal with if I had friends my own age. I have no friends really, and it seems like everyone I meet is either like 20-22 or 30+. Not that I can’t make friends with people in different age ranges, I just wish I had people who are going through the same stage of life as me. Anyone else going through a quarter life crisis? Lol.

2023.06.02 21:16 AutoModerator Here's How To watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Online Free Reddit
Here are options for downloading or watching Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse streaming the full movie online for free on 123movies & Reddit, including where to watch marvel's latest live-action adaptation movies at home. Is Spider-Verse 2 available to stream? Is watching Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse on Peacock, Disney Plus, HBO Max, Netflix or Amazon Prime? Yes, we have found an authentic streaming option/service.
If you’re like just about everyone else on the planet who saw Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in 2018 and loved it, you’ve probably been waiting for the sequel. You won’t be waiting long, as Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is finally coming out.
After a grueling five-year-long wait, Marvel fans everywhere will finally be able to return to the animated multiverse with Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. The upcoming sequel's predecessor requires no explanation, as Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse not only ensnared audiences and critics alike but also caught a prestigious Oscar win with a Best Animated Feature award. With "New York's one and only Spider-Man," Miles Morales (Shameik Moore), now becoming a household name, fans of the first film eagerly awaited the day they could see young Miles swing into the Spider-Verse again.
Thankfully, the wait is almost finally over, as Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will return to screens soon. This time Miles will not only be reunited with Gwen Stacey (Hailee Steinfeld) and Peter B. Parker (Jake Johnson) but he'll also be introduced to an entire multiversal society of Spider-people created and led by a particularly pessimistic variant of Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac). Though some of the other variants in this secretive organization view Miles as a nuisance more than anything else, they'll have to learn to put those apprehensions aside if they hope to save the multiverse from an all-new terrifying threat. As the release date for the sequel to one of the most celebrated Spider-Man films ever made crawls closer and closer
Everyone's favorite web-slinger from an alternate dimension returns for a second theatrical outing. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse continues the multiverse-spanning adventures of Miles Morales (Shameik Moore), one of the youngest and newest iterations of Spider-Man in his home dimension. A year after the events of Into the Spider-Verse, Miles is introduced to the Spider-Society, an immense organization of different Spider-People who hail from countless alternate dimensions.
The much-anticipated Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is only one day away, and fans can’t wait to see the new adventures of Miles Morales. Once the Sony Pictures-produced movie ends its theatrical run, it will come to the most popular streamers, including Netflix and Disney Plus. But when is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse coming to Netflix and Disney Plus? Here is precisely where and how you can watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse online.
When Is the Release Date for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse?
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was one of the many films to get hit by a delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic, moving from its original date of April 8, 2022, to October 7, 2022. That's the date seen in the above trailer, but the film has since seen another significant delay since then. Now the film is officially set for release on June 2, 2023. Hopefully, we won't see another delay, but if it means getting a sequel that lives up to the sky-high heights of the original, we'll gladly wait.
Is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in Theaters?
Not only was Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse the subject of rave reviews, but it also pulled in some gargantuan levels of cash at the international box office, with a final tally that quadrupled the film's ninety-million dollar budget. With incredible success like that, it's only natural that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse would also be taking advantage of a theatrical release. That is the case, as the upcoming film will be exclusively available in theaters when it premieres on June 2nd, 2023.
When is 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse' streaming?
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
The home distribution rights for Across the Spider-Verse are in a rather interesting place. In April 2021, it was reported that Sony Studios had signed a multiyear deal with both Netflix and Disney for shared streaming rights to Sony films coming out between 2022 and 2026. This deal includes Across the Spider-Verse as well as the third film in the series, Beyond the Spider-Verse, due out in March 2024.
As for releases like Across the Spider-Verse, the film will be available on Netflix with "first-pay-window-rights" for the first 18 months of its home media release. While it will not be streaming concurrently with its theatrical release, it will be available on Netflix following its theatrical run.
Some of the films are not currently available on the service because Sony has pre-existing partnerships with Starz, as that's where most of the absent films are available to stream. That is except for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which is instead only streaming on Fubo TV and FX Now.
For anyone else looking to watch the film as soon as possible, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be released in theaters on June 2.
How to Watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
At the moment, you can watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse at your local theater. But like most movies these days, it should hit a streaming website in the near future.
Like its predecessor, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is a flick produced by multimedia conglomerate Disney. What's more, the production studio owns a number of other famous franchises, like the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Star Wars. Titles made under these umbrellas have both hit Disney+ sometime after arriving at the box office. Fans may also know the original Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is currently available to stream on the site as well. So, if the 2023 version follows the same pattern, folks will likely get to see Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on Disney+ later this year too.
As for an exact release date for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, that's more complicated. Most movies produced by Disney often go to its streamer site within three months after debuting in theaters, like the most recent Marvel film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. If this is the case for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, it will probably drop in late August 2023 or sometime near Labor Day in early September.
When the time comes for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse to splash onto Disney+ though, make sure you're all prepared to watch it. If you don't have access yet, you can opt into a 30-day free trial before choosing a plan that start at $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year. After your account is all set, click on the title page on Disney+'s official website or the Disney+ app.
As you wait for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse to hit the streamer, why don't you watch the animated version and its sequel Spider-Man: into the Spider-Verse? Or if you want to immerse yourself in another live-action version, click on the 2019 ABC TV special Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Live!. Enjoy!
Where To Watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Online:
As of now, the only way to watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is to head out to a movie theater when it premieres on June 2, 2023. You can find a local showing on Fandango.
Watch Now: Spider-Verse (2023) Movie Online Free
Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait for it to become available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Amazon, Vudu, YouTube or Apple, or become available to stream on Disney+.
Is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse coming to Netflix?
Yes, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is coming to Netflix approximately in December 2023.
In 2021, Sony and Netflix signed a five-year deal that gave the latter exclusive first-pay-window U.S. streaming rights for Sony Pictures titles after their theatrical and home entertainment windows. Fans can expect to watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on Netflix six months after the film’s theatrical release, thus in December 2023. The date seems reasonable considering that Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse dropped on Netflix on June 26, 2019, six months after its U.S. release on December 14, 2018. The pay-one window usually begins about nine months after a film’s theatrical release, but it might start earlier in particular cases.
This post will be updated once there is a 100% officially confirmed Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Netflix release date.
When Will Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse Be Available On Netflix?
Regarding when the film will be available on Netflix, the answer is less definitive. The first film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, began streaming six months after its theatrical release. Based on this, it is safe to assume Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will see a similar gap between its cinematic and streaming releases. Given the film's theatrical release of June 2, 2023, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will likely begin streaming on Netflix in December 2023.
This tracks with some of Sony's bigger releases of 2022. Films like Uncharted and Bullet Train were released on Netflix six and five months respectively after their release in theaters. Of course, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse could have other elements that see it release before or after this tentative six-month period, such as underperforming or exceeding expectations at the box office. Although, based on Sony's track record - including that of the first film - Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse can be expected on Netflix in the winter of 2023, likely December for a holiday release.
Is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse coming to Disney Plus?
Yes, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is also coming to Disney Plus approximately in 2025.
Once the pay-one window runs its time and Netflix’s exclusive rights expire, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be available on Disney Plus. The pay-one window might last as long as 18 months, which means it will be a while before Disney Plus subscribers can watch the much-anticipated sequel. Unlike in other countries, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse isn’t yet available on the Disney-owned streamer in the U.S.
American fans will have to wait until 2024 to watch Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and at least until 2025 for its sequel. We will update this post once there is an official Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Disney Plus release date.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse comes from a joint effort of directors Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson. The movie will swing into theaters on June 2, featuring the return of Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy, and Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker, among others.
Will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Be On HBO Max?
No, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will not be on HBO Max since it’s not a Universal Pictures movie. Last year, the company released its films in theaters and on the streamer on the same day. However, they now allow a 45-day window between the theatrical release and the streaming release.
Is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Available On Hulu?
Viewers are saying that they want to view the new animation movie Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on Hulu. Unfortunately, this is not possible since Hulu currently does not offer any of the free episodes of this series streaming at this time. It will be exclusive to the MTV channel, which you get by subscribing to cable or satellite TV services. You will not be able to watch it on Hulu or any other free streaming service.

You can also rent or buy the movie on iTunes or Google Play. You can also watch it on-demand or on a streaming app available on your TV or streaming device if you have cable.
When Will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Be on DVD and Blu-ray?

2023.06.02 21:16 AJensen_96 Birthday Soon
26 FTM (He/they)
Hi there, I have a birthday coming up in 12 days and growing up birthdays were always very much celebrated and have had so much emphasis put on them and as you get older it just becomes less and less and it seems that after 21 most people really only acknowledge the major ones like 30, 40, etc., and for me thats been really difficult to understand.
Like now I live away from almost everyone I know except for my roomate and she won't even be here for my birthday and its just sad to me but I of course tell her its fine and its no big deal.
Now that I am out as trans I really want people to acknowledge not only my birthday but especially the right name and pronouns and like actually celebrate me.
This feels self centered I genuinely am not that person and do not want to come across that way because most the time I do everything I can for those around me at an expense to myself but just one day a year I'd like to really be acknowledged and seen and my brain is coming uo with appreciated but that still feels self absorbed as well.
I think this is more me ranting than anything but it's nice to just get it out. Thanks ❤️

2023.06.02 21:14 JACKMAN_97 Could dead eye be a sixth sense in the red dead universe?
I know it’s just there for gameplay but a fun way to make the game seem more real would be to have it be a rare sense that only a few people are born with. So far it’s really only Red Harlow, Jack swift, Arthur Morgan, John and Jack marston.
Also Landern Ricketts might have it sense he helps John improve it and Dutch might to as he makes a insane shot in RDR1 with a pistol on your binoculars.

2023.06.02 21:13 shuppet444 I cant understand why people always talk over me
I truly cannot tell if it is me talking too much, me missing social cues, or other people are simply talking over me/ignoring me intentionally. Its starting to bother me because it used to just be my sister, but now my coworkers are doing it a lot too. Ill add context of the occasions for reference, if that makes sense.
Sister: Emma (fake name) has always talked over me, but its less speaking over me as opposed to simply not hearing me. I will be speaking, and she wont even be on her phone, but she straight up doesn't hear my voice. Emma doesn't have hearing issues, doesn't do this to anyone else, just me. She does it somewhat in text as well, i will send several messages throughout a day about random things (a tiktok, pictures of animals from my job, random comments about whatever) and she will either not check her phone at all, or check it, ignore me, and then an hour later ask me for a favor or something. I don't know if I'm overthinking this, or what. Emma is 21, I am 23, and we are generally fairly close but are extremely different people.
Coworkers: I am being vague for anonymity, but I work in a small office in the animal rescue field, there is 4-5 of us at most in the office depending on the day. I feel like I am friends with my coworkers, but I'm bad about social cues and that type of thing, so they may just be tolerating me since i work here. I truly don't know. But there are so, so many occasions where i will add something to a conversation, or ask a question, or whatever, and either i am entirely ignored and just shut my mouth, or someone starts talking over me and again, i just shut up and move on. Sometimes i try to circle back to what i was saying, but usually i just give up and deal with it.
I guess what im asking for is insight as to whether im doing something wrong, if the people in my life are just inconsiderate in this respect, or if im reading way too much into this. For reference, most of my coworkers are aware i am autistic, and my sister is as well. I also deal with anxiety and some ADHD crossover symptoms, which makes me wonder if this is something akin to rejection sensitive dysphoria? I truly dont know. But i appreciate any insight/advice/comments, thank you for reading, sorry if i rambled too much.

2023.06.02 21:09 isugarpie please help me find anyone selling this bratz bed set from 2005-2006
| hi! i realize it may be harder to find brand new now, but the better condition, the better i guess lol. i have attached photos of what i definitely remember about this bed set. it is from 2006 at the latest because it was a gift for my 4th birthday, i was born 2002. this bed set was pretty huge yet i have only found bits and pieces of it sold by seperate people and im having trouble finding them all. it looked exactly like the photos. it also had a plush comforter, i think other smaller blankets, sheets, several pillow cases and throw pillows not including the ones with the 3d feet which had one for each girl (chloe, sasha, yasmine, and jade all had their own 3d pillow like that ) it is possible the person who gave it to me bought several different sets and just wrapped them together im not sure. i would be so grateful if i could find every piece. i realize i could ask the person who gave it to me but its not possible. anything you can find that looks similar to the phots would be beyond appreciated!!! 🩷 submitted by isugarpie to HelpMeFind [link] [comments] |

| I have a baseball from a Rockies v Marlins game (single to center field in the 5th inning.) My idea is to display it with a card from the pitcher (Kyle Freeland, acquired card,) and the batter (Garrett Hampson.) I have only seen cards from Hampson's Rockies days, and haven't seen his name on the Topps Series Two checklist. Nothing on eBay, either. Has anyone seen a Hampson in a Marlins uniform card? Freeland card is the one I purchased for the display. submitted by Melodic_Ad9255 to baseballcards [link] [comments] |
2023.06.02 21:08 Temporary-Arm-9937 I am dissolving into an existential nightmare of self doubt.
This is such a long post and for that I'm sorry.
This is a throw away account because I don't want anyone that knows me or loves me to feel burdened by everything I'm about to say. Please be kind I am really struggling to keep everything together. I am also socially ostracized, due to my own behavior, but I AM actively trying to do better and it's been a really long journey to get where I am.
I just want to preface everything by saying I full acknowledge all of my shortcomings. I fully acknowledge that I HAVE been a monster. Some of the more gruesome details I will save because rehashing them here is more than I can bear, but everything I'm going to say is with the full and complete knowledge that while trauma can make us monsters it is ONLY my responsibility to repair things and get better. There are no excuses.
When I was a kid I was heavily traumatized. I mean near death illness, medical abuse, CSA, domestic violence, physical and emotional abuse, fat phobia, eating disorders, domestic violence in the home, toxic parent/child relationships, toxic family dynamics, parental substance use, the extreme illness of a parent, other trusted adults outside of the home abusing me.
I had a babysitter that would give me orange juice knowing I had extreme GERD, so extreme I was treated for it as a 6 year old, to make me throw up so she wouldn't have to care for me. She would keep my brothers, but she hated me. Maybe I was a monster even then. I was so abused maybe even at that age I was a dark cloud on those around me.
For full clarity I don't know who or how many people sexually assaulted me as a child, but it was violent, and it was prolonged. Entire years of my life except a few flashes of memories are blank. Gone. Very little exists but a deep, primordial panic when I try to think about them. I was a hypersexualized child. I remember thinking about sex as young as 6 and 7. I remember thinking things were normal that I know now are not. I was so abused. So damaged. And the people that did those things to me were protected. My family protected them. My family let them hurt me. Why? And why did I do those things to others? I was punished. A lot. But no one ever took care of me. I genuinely don't believe anyone ever loved me.
I lied. A lot. As a child. I still lie. But not as much. I don't know why. I never feel safe in this reality. The place where I am both a monster and a victim.
As a kid I tortured my siblings. I hated them. I don't know why. Why was I so angry at them? Why did I hit them? Why did I scream at them? But when my mother's fist came out why did I step in front of it? Why did I scream at her when she hit us? Why did I fight her to keep them safe? Why am I this person? Why did no one see me? Did they not care?
As I got older I tried to run away a lot. I tried. I stopped torturing my siblings. I started sexualizing myself for attention. My mother encouraged it. She picked out the outfit I lost my virginity in. They were her clothes. Why? Why did she do this? I wish I could ask her and get a real answer. But I don't know that the truth would matter. I was encouraged to seek out adults to have sex with. I was encouraged to talk about sex, to wear certain clothes, to be attractive and seen as sexy. I was FORCED to accept jokes grown men made about marrying me because I was a problem. My parents discussed what to do when I inevitably had a child, out of wedlock as a teenager.
I hated sex. It hurt. It was always so violent. It was always an act. It was always something done to me. I never got to participate and enjoy myself. I was a warm body. I was a thing. It was happening to me. And I deserved it. I was a dirty, immoral monster. No one would ever love me unless I let them do those things to me.
I am impossible to love. I won't LET myself be. Not in a way that matters. Except my kid.
As my parents predicted I ended up in a relationship with a horribly abusive monster. We had a kid. It was a disaster.
But my kid is the one thing I have ever done right. When he was born I went to therapy. Terrified I would do to him what had been done to me. That's what they tell you, right? If you're molested as a kid you could grow up to do the same to your child. You will be a monster. My therapist told me what I went through was horrible and what was done to me wasn't my fault. But it still feels that way. Even now. She also told me what I did was also the most common response to that kind of trauma. But how can it be? She told me that most of the CSA survivors she has treated have all been exactly where I am now. I saw her for six months until I didn't want to kill myself anymore, right on the edge of real and meaningful healing and then I never went back. I told myself I could leave it all buried, because I was better now.
But nothing undead can stay buried. I have horrible night terrors. I have since I was a kid. I have trauma flashbacks almost every single day. I am losing grip on everything. I need help, but...
I am incredibly unhappy, bitter and resentful. I am mean. I am angry. I am so very afraid. I have ostracized everyone except a handful of people. I am a PROLIFIC shit talker. It comes from fear. It comes from insecurity and self hatred. And also this external hatred of all the complicity I see in others. WHY DO YOU LET PEOPLE ABUSE EACH OTHER!?! Why are you friends with that rapist? Why do you just stand by while that 35 year old repeatedly traumatizes teenage girls? Why do you watch your friends die? Why do you keep snorting coke when your friend is dying in front of you? Why does no one care about anyone?
I am homeless now. Jobless. I am unable to be a normal human. I am so worn down. So tired. So defeated. My soul, if I even have one, is fragmented, shattered. This exhaustion lives inside me. An insidious little shadow coloring everything I thouch.
Except my kid. The only good thing I have ever done is be a good parent.
I don't think people realize how much help I need. My body is failing because I have been in fight or flight for so long, so full of cortisol that my body and my brain are almost totally seperate. I'm on medications so I don't urinate on myself because my brain stopped recieving signals from my bladder. My doctor asked about my sexual history. Implying abuse. It tracks. Thats a logical relationship of cause and effect. Affect? I can't bring myself to be totally honest with my doctors. I am so afraid.
I know this is all so incoherent. But I know I can't be alone? Maybe this post sits mostly unread. Maybe read and think I'm an irredeemable piece of shit and I am blasted all over the internet.
I try not to feel like a victim. I have been putting so much effort into getting better. I need a year to disappear. But my kid.
The one good thing I have ever done has no one else.
Not that it matters, but I have always been 100% sober, and in and out of therapy based on when I can afford it and get the time off work when I'm able to work.
My last therapist suggested taking time off to heal, but I have no one to lean on that deeply. The few times I thought I did I ended up facing the consequences of that help in a way that left me worse off.
How do people do this? How do people with this much trauma keep going? Do people love you? Do you feel loved? Are you okay? Do you ever just feel like a person and not a puddle of trauma? I am in my mid 30s now. And I still feel like that scared little kid almost every day. How do I tell them I'm sorry? How do I stop feeling like a bad person? Is this a road I have to walk alone, forever?
I'm sorry for all the jarbled nonsense. This reads more like a manifesto than a reddit post, but par for the course I suppose.

2023.06.02 21:07 LearningTree101 Is forced birth of non-viable babies a Biblical concept? If Love is the fulfilment of the law, how is forcing people to give birth to non-viable children loving?
I would like to initiate an open and honest conversation about this heated topic in this world. It seems to me that Bible implies in so many places that God knows you even in the womb and even before!
Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations"
Here God is basically saying to Jeremiah that he has been set apart even before the womb to play the role as a prophet. God is all knowing and has set apart some people for a specific purpose. I believe Apostle Paul also implies that he was set apart from his mother's womb ( Galatians 1:15 )
Genesis 4:1 "Adam made love to his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. She said, “With the help of the Lord I have brought forth a man.”
Here it seems to imply that creation of a new life is a co-creative process with a man, woman & God. I believe the same sentiment is echoed in Genesis 29:31 "When the Lord saw that Leah was not loved, he enabled her to conceive, but Rachel remained childless" - Here Leah becomes pregnant because God has "enabled" her.
Amos 1:13 "For three sins of Ammon, even for four, I will not relent. Because he ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead in order to extend his borders"
Here God doesn't seem to be too happy about pregnant women being ripped open.
Bible also says "Thou shall not murder" but also Bible does provide a lethany of reasons as to why it's okay to take a life, reasons many in the modern world might not deem as a reason enough to take a life. Example: In Deuteronomy 13-20 - For lying about her virginity, a woman is to be stoned to death by the men in the community.
Let's fast forward to the present modern times. We can know a lot about the baby in the womb.
Non Viable Babies:
A florida woman was forced to give birth of a baby born without kidneys. The family couldn't afford to travel. The baby died within hours
An Arizona woman was forced to give birth to a baby with alobar holoprosencephaly, the baby died within 44 hours.
A Texas woman was forced to give birth to a baby without parts of the brain and skull formed.
These women were forced to give birth because of the state laws. I don't know if anyone here has been pregnant but the mother forms an emotional bond with the baby and then is forced to give birth and then experience the death of the baby they are holding in their hands. Let's also remember these people are also forced to bear all the medical bills. These women and everyone around and involved were basically told this is being done for God. Is it tho? Does God want this? And if you tell these people that God is love, are they going to believe you? The athiests have a saying regarding forced birth of non-viable babies: "The cruelty and pain is the point of their religion" - Slapping a huge medical people onto those who can't afford to travel to another state does seem cruel, does it not? How does any of this bring glory to God?
I brought up the forced birth of non-viable children to my church and one of the elders said "The suffering of these women is a small price to pay for millions of lives saved" - Have humans exalted themselves to the point where we get to decide who gets to suffer in the name of God? Are we not asked to manifest God's love on Earth? When Jesus healed the cripple on the Sabbath, nobody was happy for the cripple. All the religious folks were busy trying to figure who to blame and whose fault it was! I believe Jesus did what he did to expose the lack of love in those who claimed to represent God.
So how do you reconcile God's knowing you in the womb and even before the womb and also forcing women to go full term and give birth to babies without organs and body parts?

2023.06.02 21:04 SiccSemperTyrannis Bally Sports may miss payments to up to 12 NHL teams next season as only 5 or 6 of 18 Bally channels are profitable and Bally Sports+ has just 203,000 subscribers, 55% of their target
Bally disclosed these numbers in a bankruptcy court yesterday as they tried to lower TV rights payments due to 4 MLB teams. While the NHL is not involved in this Bally-MLB dispute
today, Bally's implosion could soon impact the 12 NHL teams whose local games they produce and broadcast - Arizona, Detroit, Florida, Tampa Bay, St Louis, Minnesota, Columbus, Anaheim, LA, Carolina, Nashville. Bally has not said they will pay 100% of the TV rights money due to NHL teams next season, so the NHL could be in the same position the MLB is in as soon as October. Also, Bally only owns the local streaming rights for its NHL and NBA teams for 1 more season and losing them would kill Bally Sports+ even as they continue to hold local TV rights for those teams.
The big questions for the NHL this summer:
- Will Bally miss any rights payments due to NHL teams next season?
- If yes, is the NHL prepared to move production and distribution in-house as the MLB did? NHL teams reportedly are considering it.
- What does the NHL do with the local streaming rights of the 12 Bally teams for the 2024-25 season?
- What is the impact on the salary cap from any lost local TV money?
How and where many fans watch NHL games in the US could change drastically within the next year.
Sources:
Background - Why is this happening and how did we get here?
Bally Sports (formally Diamond Sports Group aka DSG, part of Sinclair Boradcast Group) in 2019 bought the former regional Fox Sports Networks and broadcasts local games for 12 NHL teams. As people cut the cord and move to streaming, the entire Regional Sports Network (RSN) business model has begun to collapse, resulting in DSG hemorrhaging money. Bally isn't the only one impacted - Warner Bros announced in February they are shutting down their AT&T Sports RSNs this year, causing Vegas in May to announce a new TV and local streaming partner for next season.
RSNs rely on 2 major sources of revenue: monthly fees paid by every TV subscriber with their channel and advertising. The channel rights fees are worth way more than the advertising since everyone pays it regardless of how many people actually watch the channel. RSNs began to demand ever higher channel fees from cable, satellite, and streaming TV companies (Comcast, Dish, Cox, YouTube TV, Sling TV, etc) to pay for ballooning rights fees demanded by sports teams for the past 2 decades. Fees are up to $7 per month per TV subscriber as of 2021. The TV companies saw how few customers actually watched sports and decided the RSNs weren't worth passing the increased costs to all of their customers, so they started dropping RSNs left and right in the last several years. That has made it harder than ever for fans to actually watch games, drastically cut RSN revenue, and why so few streaming TV plans include local sports channels today.
RSNs have responded by trying to go "direct to consumer" (DTC) with streaming plans like Bally Sports+, NESN 360, and MSG+. ESPN is doing the same nationally with ESPN+. The problem as shown by Bally Sports+'s dismal subscriber numbers is that the number of people willing to pay for RSN streaming plans is so far too small to offset the losses in their TV subscriber base. RSNs are stuck in a paradox - they are locked into long-term TV rights contracts they can no longer afford, but canceling those contracts removes the only content they have that people will pay to watch.
This financial chaos resulted in Bally declaring bankruptcy in March and trying to force MLB to re-negotiate some of their contracts so Bally could keep showing games but pay less to do so. Fast forward to this week as the MLB and Bally have argued their positions in bankruptcy court. The judge ruled yesterday against Bally and in favor of the MLB and 4 teams who Bally was refusing to fully pay for their TV rights. Bally now must either pay the full amount due or give the 4 impacted teams their local rights back. Bally already did this with the Sand Diego Padres earlier this week and the MLB immediately announced they will produce and distribute future games.

2023.06.02 21:01 twophonesonepager Losing track of time…. Please help.
I’m 33 today but it’s not a happy birthday. Each birthday reminds me and those around me of my ailment. As I sit in my wheelchair, facing the two melting candles, I feel unable to muster a deep enough breath to blow them out.
My wife stares sadly at me, and my few friends gathered do the same. I know what they are thinking, is this “his last birthday? he looks ready to kick it.”
To describe my problem in the simplest of terms: I am old.
My face is wrinkled like that of a 90 year old, my body is spotted and the skin hangs off it in the most unattractive of places. I’m losing my eyesight, my hair is white, and I’m barely able to walk on my own. I’m so fucking old my boney, vein-riddled hands shake as I try to raise a spoonful of cake to my mouth. I mash the cake around my mouth with the few teeth I have left.
And all this biological ageing has happened to me over the last seven years. The doctors had many theories, but no solutions. Some said Progeria, the premature ageing syndrome, but that starts when you are young, usually just two years old. I was in my mid twenties when my ageing accelerated.
The doctors were not only useless they were suffocating. When you have an ailment as rare as mine there is an overwhelming pressure from the science and medical community to “discover” the cause. You might think this a good thing…. a glimmer of hope that my condition could be halted or reversed - but no - they are fuelled by greed. If they could figure out the cause of my ageing, they could potentially gain insight into all human ageing, and how to slow it and ultimately how to profit in the billions.
So I called a halt to the daily testing and life of a lab rat. And now I plan to live out my newfound old age in private, with my wife and friends.
I’m 33. I should be traveling the world, snowboarding, dancing, getting drunk with friends and staggering home yelling obscenities at five in the morning. But age has descended on my now frail body like an ever shrinking prison cell.
For six years I’ve turned to reddit for help on many varied topics. Troubleshooting houseplants, DIY car repair and even how to brush my dog’s teeth. I write this in a last ditch attempt that someone, a doctor, a psychologist or biologist, can identify what’s happening to me and help.
I think I was 26 when I started losing track of time. The scary thing is, I find that it’s really hard to remember the second half of my 20’s at all. It went by so, so fast. I have to look back at old emails, entries into my calendar and text messages to remind myself of where I was and what I was doing over the past few years.
But I do vividly remember when I first noticed time slipping on me. It was 2016, a year of many forgetful films and very few good ones. As a film buff I was always at the movies or reading the trade mags. I was at the cinema with Sammy (my girlfriend) watching one of the only good films of that year, Arrival.
Sammy and I shared a love for films and we sat in the very front row of a late night screening, so as to have the screen to ourselves. About 30 minutes into the film, it became tense, Sammy and I held hands. In a blink the credits were rolling. As the lights came up Sammy turned to me to get my thoughts on the film, but I had missed almost all of it. I was so embarrassed at having apparently fallen asleep, that I just agreed with everything that Sammy said about the film and then returned the next day to watch it alone.
This sort of thing started to happen more and more, and I thought I was losing my mind. There were times when Sammy and I would be in bed spooning after an evening love session, and suddenly it would be morning and I would feel completely unrested.
Other times my loss of time was welcoming. Like the time we flew 13hrs to Australia, in cramped seats with crying babies on either side. That flight which was bound to torture me for hours felt as if it was just ten minutes long.
But I wasn’t really scared until I noticed the physical effects of lost time. It started with the crows feet around my eyes, then the grey hairs began to appear, the back pain and eventually the liver spots. All of this before the age of 30.
The hardest part was the reaction of those around me. My friends teased at first, about the grey hair and the wrinkles but as my condition developed most of them became concerned or disappeared from my life entirely.
At Christmas when a family photo was taken, I was devastated to see I looked older than my own parents.
And yet Sammy stayed by my side, never seeming to notice, never seeming to be concerned or bothered despite me constantly unloading my despair on her. Sammy just continued to smile, her youthful smile, a smile that never changed over the seven years we’ve been together.
And now as I chew my cake and Sammy happily enjoys hers and laughs with our friends, I wonder why she stuck with me so long. She hasn’t changed a bit from the day I met her, she was 21 at the time and doesn’t look a day older now. When people see us together they think she’s my granddaughter. When they find out we’re a couple they are then disgusted and think she’s a gold-digger, the sad part is I’m far from rich and she is now the sole provider for our household.
I fall asleep in my chair, which is common these days as I have little energy, and by the time I awake my friends have all left. Sammy wheels me out of the kitchen and into the bedroom. She gets in the shower and I ease myself out of the chair and change into the pyjamas that are folded on the corner of the bed.
I’m determined again tonight not to lose track of time. This is something I do every night now.
I lay on my side, the covers pulled up to my chin, and I stare at the clock on the bedside table.
The time is 9:48 PM.
As the clock ticks I count the seconds in my head. tick. tick. tick. tick.
I’m not ready to die.
tick. tick.
I have my whole life ahead of me.
tick. tick.
I’m terrified.
tick. tick.
I count every second and every minute until Sammy comes out of the bathroom ready for bed.
The time is 10:28 PM.
Sammy lays down beside me, puts her arm around me and grabs my hand. The time is 7:15 AM.

At San Diego Comic-Con in July, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson had other people raising eyebrows when he said that his long-awaited superhero debut in Spider Man Across the Spider Verse would be the beginning of “a new era” for the DC Extended Universe naturally followed: What did he mean? And what would that kind of reset mean for the remainder of DCEU's roster, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the rest of the Justice League, Suicide Squad, Shazam and so on.As
Spider Man Across the Spider Verse neared theaters, though, Johnson clarified that statement in a recent sit-down with Yahoo Entertainment (watch above).
“I feel like this is our opportunity now to expand the DC Universe and what we have in Spider Man Across the Spider Verse, which I think is really cool just as a fan, is we introduce five new superheroes to the world,” Johnson tells us. Aldis Hodge's Hawkman, Noah Centineo's Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell's Cyclone and Pierce Brosnan's Doctor Fate, who together comprise the Justice Society.) “One anti-hero.” (That would be DJ's Spider Man Across the Spider Verse.)
“And what an opportunity. The Justice Society pre-dated the Justice League. So opportunity, expand out the universe, in my mind… all these characters interact. That's why you see in Spider Man Across the Spider Verse, we acknowledge everyone: Batman , Superman , Wonder Woman, Flash, we acknowledge everybody. There's also some Easter eggs in there, too.So that's what I meant by the resetting.Maybe 'resetting' wasn't a good term.only
one can claim to be the most powerful superhero .And Johnson, when gently pressed, says it's his indestructible, 5,000-year-old Kahndaqi warrior also known as Teth-Adam, that is the most powerful superhero in any universe, DC, Marvel or otherwise
. "By the way, it's not hyperbole because we made the movie."And we made him this powerful.
There's nothing so wrong with “Spider Man Across the Spider Verse” that it should be avoided, but nothing—besides the appealing presence of Dwayne Johnson—that makes it worth rushing out to see. spectacles that have more or less taken over studio filmmaking, but it accumulates the genre's—and the business's—bad habits into a single two- hour-plus package, and only hints at the format's occasional pleasures. “Spider Man Across the Spider Verse” feels like a place-filler for a movie that's remaining to be made, but, in its bare and shrugged-off sufficiency, it does one positive thing that, if nothing else, at least accounts for its success: for all the churning action and elaborately jerry-rigged plot, there's little to distract from the movie's pedestal-like display of Johnson, its real-life superhero.
It's no less numbing to find material meant for children retconned for adults—and, in the process, for most of the naïve delight to be leached out, and for any serious concerns to be shoehorned in and then waved away with dazzle and noise. Spider Man Across the Spider Verse” offers a moral realm that draws no lines, a personal one of simplistic stakes, a political one that suggests any interpretation, an audiovisual one that rehashes long-familiar tropes and repackages overused devices for a commercial experiment that might as well wear its import as its title. When I was in Paris in 1983, Jerry Lewis—yes, they really did love him there—had a new movie in theaters. You're Crazy, Jerry."Spider Man Across the Spider Verse " could be retitled 'You're a Superhero, Dwayne'—it's the marketing team's PowerPoint presentation extended to feature length.
In addition to being Johnson's DC Universe debut, “Spider Man Across the Spider Verse” is also notable for marking the return of Henry Cavill's Superman. The cameo is likely to set up future showdowns between the two characters, but Hodge was completely unaware of it until he saw the film.
“They kept that all the way under wraps, and I didn't know until maybe a day or two before the premiere,” he recently said Spider Man Across the Spider Verse Wakanda Forever (2022) FULLMOVIE ONLINE
